They have a lot of good looking pastries & desserts displayed. Some are quite giant. Service is good and they got seating indoor and outdoor. Yesterday we got a California burrito that was really good and big. The price was pretty affordable compared to most California burritos nowadays. Today we got a breakfast machaca sandwich and Cali burrito. They only had green sauce today. Which is fine because that's the only salsa I like. The sandwich was pretty good, but it only had meat halfway down my sandwich. The Cali burrito was really good because it had guacamole this time. This place is walking distance so we may come here often. read more

The food here is outstanding, made fresh every day. It opens at 5 AM from croissants, cakes to muffins, breakfast, burritos and the entire menu. Everything is made fresh, very tasty and flavourful and very good qantity for the price. This bakery is outstanding. Stopped by today with my housemate for our first time. We were craving some panadería goodies. I got a solid amount of pastries because they looked too good to say no to. They were delicious. I also splurged and ordered a breakfast burrito because it was like 11am, and I hadn't eaten yet. Super delish. Favorite breakfast burrito I've had thus far in San Marcos. Love the way the ingredients are incorporated, and just just completely layered separately. Salsa sides were excellent too. 10/10 read more

I came in late on Sunday evening needing to buy a tres leches cake for the next day and after having no luck checking 2 other bakeries, thankfully, Su Pan had one of each of their three variations in stock. Between tiramisu, mocha, and vanilla tres leches I wanted to buy them all, but ended up getting vanilla. I refrigerated the cake overnight and brought it to work the next day. My coworkers are picky with their tres leches and I was worried that it wouldn't be milky enough, but when we cut into it, the cake maintained its structure and didn't fall apart, but when you bite into the cake, it was so wonderfully milky and delicious still. My coworkers said the vanilla tasted more like caramel or dulce de leche and it was so tasty. Thank you, Su Pan, for saving me from buying a tres leches from Costco!! So happy with how it tasted and everyone at work loved it. I dream about this cake still after a whole week since eating it. I will definitely be back! read more

It's 930 am Stop by coffee & bolillo breakfast or relleno the one are on the cabinet 1 no coffee. Kind of a hidden spot, as these spaces don't have a ton of advertising but they should because the food is bussin. Been on a Cuban torta search and this one took the cake. So good!!!! Definitely recommend, the sauce they use is absolutely delish. The sweet bread is great too, tastes very good and there's a nice variety here even cake pastries as well. I stopped in for an early lunch at Su Pan Bakery, which is a bakery, but also offer savory food items. For example, the tasty and spicy bowl of pork pozole I enjoyed. The soup was definitely rich and came with a good amount of tender pork in the form of chunks. The hominy was plentiful, and the soup offered a good spice. No additional hot sauce was needed for this one. The soup came with a side of shredded cabbage, sliced radishes, and several crispy tostadas, not to mention the wedge of lime. Really kind employees, great pan dulce and other sweets! I have heard the food is good so I plan on trying that next. They do have seating inside with moveable chairs, and seating outside at cement tables with chairs attached (that do not move). The employees do not speak English which is totally fine because it's a panadería, however the one thing that confused me was that the employee behind the counter also did not understand my girlfriend who is a native Spanish speaker and was born and raised in México. I don't know how to explain it other than we were speaking slowly in English and Spanish and somehow the employee was confused and kept almost giving us the wrong food. I say this all as constructive feedback because I want the business to do well and I think it would help them to put someone at the front counter who does speak a language that some or most of the customers speak. I think maybe the employee spoke another language or spoke an Indigenous language/dialect from a small part of another country, which is totally awesome and beautiful, but made communication between customer and employee a little challenging. The food is good and reasonably priced but be prepared to wait longer than seems necessary. More than once I've noticed the employees seem to be enjoying themselves chatting with each other instead of tending to business. It seems that other other local customers are of the same opinion judging by the frustrated and impatient looks on their faces. read more

My husband stopped by and picked up a carne asada breakfast burrito. It was super hot and fresh when we bit into it, but unfortunately it didn't have much carne asada. There was also way more potato than I would've preferred, but it was flavored well. The salsas (green and red) were both really good! Conchas were solid rock hard not even edible, chocolate mousse cake was dry not sure how a mousse can be dry but stay away. It was like 110 degrees inside the establishment turn the ac on. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Every time I come they always get my order wrong . Every. Single. Time. And no it's not a language issue because I'm bilingual and speak Spanish perfectly. They always mess up and I'm done giving them chances because this time I could never forgive an EGGSHELL in my burrito ! It's absolutely disgusting ! Never again ! Oh and yes they did forget my avocado too to top it all off . Lol I just got off the phone to get a refund and the woman giggled when I told her about the eggshell. How is that laughable ? The lack of care is concerning and the fact that they think an eggshell is not a big deal is absolutely unacceptable. Their behavior is disgusting ! Then she transferred me to a younger girl to process my refund and she answered with more attitude and hostility as if this is my fault?? I've never left a bad review anywhere. Usually if I don't like somewhere I just leave it be, I only leave five star reviews when I love a place . But this is honestly atrocious. I will never come back and their carelessness is unforgivable. read more

Great customer service. Purchased a very large dulce de leche cake for a company function. It was a hit! Very moist and tasted wonderful. Only drawback was a tiny typo in the message on the cake. Definitely use them again. Their other cakes were also very delicious - they sell by the slice so you can try them all! They also have Mexican food which also looked very tasty. read more

Best Chilaquiles in town! This quaint little bakery has your typical Mexican baked goods for sale i.e. Conchas, orejas, telera, pan dulce and some dessert goodies on display such as the all time favorite tres leches which is really packed with flavor. What I was not expecting was the menu with some of my favorite meals and of course I couldn't just leave without knowing what their food would taste like so I ordered the Chilaquiles and holy smokes were they everything I'd ever hoped for and more... word of advice, they don't skimp on the spice so eat at your own risk. Overall the place is very clean, and the service is top notch "This Guy" will be coming back for more of those yummy Chilaquiles soon. read more

Wow. This place is amazing. I tried the tiramisu, coffee tres leches, and strawberry shortcake. All were amazing, the cake was not soggy and it had so much flavor. Overall this is a really great spot. The bread is a little pricey, especially after the COVID price hike. Regardless, the bread is good and high quality, a nice full balance of flavors and a nice slightly chewy bread. What makes this place for me are the tortas. The bread is fresh and supple. The carne asada is simple and nicely trimmed. The beans, avocado and mayo give it a savory warmth, while fresh lettuce and spicy jalapeños and onions balance out the flavors. All together, the combination of the ingredients elevates this torta into one of my favorites in all of north county. Personally im a huge fan and recommend this spot if you like tortas, or Mexican bread with a balanced flavor. read more

This was our first time. Heard great things about it, so we decided to finally try it. We waited 1 hour to get our food. It wasn't even busy. After waiting patiently watching others order after us and receiving their food before us, we finally went in to see what the hold up was. The lady who rang us up acted confused and realized they never started our order. We then had to wait again for our food to be prepared, which ended up taking a couple minutes. She gave us our food she didn't say sorry or acknowledged how long we had to wait. Very bad 1st experience with their poor service. I always have a wonderful experience here, yes is a small business with a small amount of employees but they are amazing, the cashier is always happy and friendly. I got to try a Macaron making class and it was a fun experience. It was supposed to take 2.5 - 3 hours. The other party was late so we started about 10 minutes late and we went way over 3 hours. The class is very hands on. You get detailed instructions, and a template for the Macaron shapes. The instructor is the owner, and she is Cordon Bleu trained and loves making Macarons and Chocolate. She will tell you all about her schooling, background, experiences, and the history of the Macaron. The instructor will walk you through the process step by step, explaining why you have to be precise and follow each step completely and in order if you want to get good results. She also explains how you may need to add a little extra of an ingredient based on the humidity, the science behind it, etc. You make the Macaron shells and you also make Italian butter cream filling to put in the Macaron. You will get 14-16 delicious Macarons depending on how you follow the template design setup. Enjoy my photos.
