Breakfast Burrito with brisket
Lisa W.

My coworker brought me here and it did not disappoint. Hands down one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. The vibe was super chill. They seem to know the customers by name very personable. I'm a forever customer.

Longaniza and Chicken breakfast burritos. Strawberry matcha and Vanilla blended coffee.

Found this place while walking around the area and decided to try. Amazing food the breakfast burrito was great, the crispy tots added a nice crunch and the spicy aioli complemented it nicely. I got a strawberry matcha which was 5 dollars and it was one of the best I have had around LA. The matcha flavor was strong and it was not overly sweet. Best of all it was a great size for the price (about 20 ounces). The ambiance was super friendly and welcoming and the inside is so pretty and community oriented. Will definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu!

100% please support this business!!! We witnessed something so heartwarming when me and my friends went... someone came in without enough money, and without hesitation the staff made sure they were fed, no questions asked. Their generosity really says something about their restaurant and you'd really want to support these kind of businesses!! They've only been open for 3 years, but they already feel like a place worth supporting over and over again. I haven't tried their full menu yet, but their matcha is amazing, they had oat and almond milk(no extra charge for sub). My friend ordered the burrito and rated it a solid 10/10!! Parking can be tricky, but we were lucky we got meter parking. They have small bar table situation inside, and good amount of table outside. I'm so happy this cute little place was recommended and I'll definitely be back to try the food for myself. Businesses like this truly deserve all the support. (:

Everything from start to finish was so delicious. A good portion of food is served, worth every dollar. Service was fast, especially during our lunch hour . They had a nice corner where you ca sit outside by the street . Definitely will be coming back

Breakfast Burrito w/ Brisket

I am impatiently waiting to go back to Milpa from the moment I left. Not only because there was so much on the menu that sparked curiosity--their dishes are supremely delicious. The breakfast burrito had been highly recommended to me and it was phenomenal but what really stole the show for me were the breakfast tacos. I enjoyed the very last bite of them just as much as the first, something that is rarely found. Be sure to visit if you are looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a solid meal with someone you love or solo. The team here is on their sh-- and know what they're doing. Like I said, I'm counting down the days until I return. 10/10

Pork belly breakfast Burrito

I currently have a birria and pork belly breakfast burrito addiction. I have been going every wknd, worth the walk. The burritos are delicious with the aioli sauce, really brings the burrito flavors together. It's busy during the wknds, compare to the week there is seating inside and out. Love the outdoor area, as it is very chill. Will def continue coming.

Pozole tostadita

Just visited Milpa and ordered the pozole to go and wow. It tastes so delicious the flavor is so good, the chunks of meat are cut perfectly into squares its nice and tender. I like how they give you all the sides you need to enjoy your pozole. The tostadas taste nice and fresh and the chile de aceite is very spicy. Enjoying this pozole and can't wait to go back and try the strawberry matcha and other delicious foods they have.

Tasted nasty and gross!

I came to this place to try the brisket breakfast burrito. My friend saw the lady who was preparing the food. She got distracted by one of the workers and dropped a towel on the floor. Instead of discarding the dirty towel, she picked it back up and wiped the counter where the food is being prepared. She put our tortilla's on top of the counter and continued preparing our food. The burrito had the plastic chemical taste and GROSS . Horrible integrity and courtesy from the employee. I will never go back to this place. Train your workers properly!!! Do better! You deserve zero stars!

I've been waiting all my life and searching high and low for the most flavorful, sweet cinnamon and orange aroma infused cafe de olla in Los Angeles...and guess what? I found it here at Milpa! (Silence because I'm savoring my cup of cafe de olla) Consider this my shortest and sweetest review yet.

Brisket and Birria breakfast tacos
Eric A.

great service with a smile. parking can be a bit tight on weekends. the outdoor patio seating is enjoyable if there isn't too much commotion or traffic. if you like fluffy tortillas you'll enjoy the tacos. the birria was definitely the winner in terms of meat choices for me. the pickled onions were a bit sweet and our mint drink was good but also a bit heavy on the sugar for me personally. i've had the birria breakfast burrito before and really enjoyed that too. will def return and change up the order next time.

In the mood for breakfast burrito - I heard this is the place to be! We ordered the pork belly and longaniza burritos and one taco - deliciousness! Love the salsa, definitely homemade and the agua fresca The service is outstanding and I appreciate the variety of coffee options. Looking forward to coming back and trying more on their menu!

What's left of my Mexican Hot Chocolate Latte w/Almond milk & an extra shot.

What times are they actually open? Their hours on their ig, yelp and google maps differ from each other - idk who to believe😩

If I remember from the last time I called a few weeks ago, they open at 8am, Monday -Friday. You should call to make sure, though.

Upon walking in, the vibes are very cozy and intimate, not a lot of seating though. My waiter, Gabriel, was extremely friendly, welcoming, and had very good knowledge of the menu which I appreciate a lot. Now back to the omelette-- oh my god. Best omelette in my life I think. The eggs were soft, pillowy and cooked to PERFECTION. Not overdone and not super runny either. The chicken was extremely tender and flavorful. The sauce they used was sweet and savory, the pickled onions balanced it all out with the perfect acidity. I wish I was around this area a lot more, I'll definitely be coming back!

The green sauce has a significant tang to it so the two really balanced each other out. Next time I'll definitely add a protein as well, but this bowl of chilaquiles was delicious! I also had a Jamaica lemonade which was great, it had a nice kick/tang to it. They make everything in house - the chips, their meats, everything. They have a solid, limited menu, and I can't wait to try other items. It's a small restaurant but they make you feel like you're home. The gentlemen at Tenampal are so welcoming, they give so much attention to each customer, they really take care of you. They constantly check in on you to make sure you're happy without being overbearing. As far as service goes, this experience was within the top 3 experiences I've had at a restaurant in my entire life just in terms of how welcoming they were. I was very lucky to grab a seat here on Sunday - I've heard usually it's pretty busy to get in here but since I went during a World Cup game, I was able to be seated right away. The only thing - parking was pretty difficult, ngl. You gotta luck out finding street parking or go into the residential areas to park. But it's worth it!

Hi Bakery is a very cute food spot on 7th and Imperial St in LA. It's next to a metered parking lot…read more(the lot is in-between Mateo and Imperial) and parking for an hour is I think $5 which is a good deal. When we walked in there were lots of empty tables and there are two sides - One side for drinks and one for food/baked goods but you can order drinks/food on both sides. I got their Vegan Bagel ($12.75) which came with vegan cream cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, red pickled onions and micro greens with their roasted potatoes. I just wanted something a little better than what I had been eating, so when they said they ran out of vegan cream cheese I said to use normal cream cheese. It was deliciously savory with nice crunches of cucumber and fresh tomatoes on top. Very filling too...I hadn't had a bagel in a while. My husband got one of their plates with toast, egg and sausage, sorry can't remember the name of the dish. The sausage was pretty good, not too salty and not sweet but flavored nicely with a nice kick. Everything else was pretty standard (eggs, toast, potatoes). We did get a cinnamon roll (which the best part of one is the middle piece) and he got coffee and I got tea. I got their Sunset Oolong ($7) which had oolong tea, orange lily and ruby amaranth. It was a little earthy but there's enough tea to split between two people, and it's only served hot. Next time I try this place I'd get something else. This place is cute and they offer mostly cookies as baked goods (that earl grey flower one looked good but I didn't try it/next time I will).

Parking... good luck for street parking, but there is plenty of paid parking places around. OMG!! I got The Club#6 with a salad and a flat white. The sandwich, OMG, it was huge and the salad was a full salad! Most places, the side salad is moderate and the sandwich decent size. But this place... WOW! I couldn't finish it! I thought the prices were a bit high, but I was wrong, you get what you pay for and it's a lot! Thank you! The flat white coffee, may have been my mistake... but I it was smaller than I wish it was. Maybe I didn't clarify that I wanted a large. Other than that I was very pleased with my order. I will go again if I am in the area!
