    Brisket and Birria breakfast tacos
    Eric A.

great service with a smile. parking can be a bit tight on weekends. the outdoor patio seating is enjoyable if there isn't too much commotion or traffic. if you like fluffy tortillas you'll enjoy the tacos. the birria was definitely the winner in terms of meat choices for me. the pickled onions were a bit sweet and our mint drink was good but also a bit heavy on the sugar for me personally. i've had the birria breakfast burrito before and really enjoyed that too. will def return and change up the order next time.

100% please support this business!!! We witnessed something so heartwarming when me and my friends went... someone came in without enough money, and without hesitation the staff made sure they were fed, no questions asked. Their generosity really says something about their restaurant and you'd really want to support these kind of businesses!! They've only been open for 3 years, but they already feel like a place worth supporting over and over again. I haven't tried their full menu yet, but their matcha is amazing, they had oat and almond milk(no extra charge for sub). My friend ordered the burrito and rated it a solid 10/10!! Parking can be tricky, but we were lucky we got meter parking. They have small bar table situation inside, and good amount of table outside. I'm so happy this cute little place was recommended and I'll definitely be back to try the food for myself. Businesses like this truly deserve all the support. (:

Everything from start to finish was so delicious. A good portion of food is served, worth every dollar. Service was fast, especially during our lunch hour . They had a nice corner where you ca sit outside by the street . Definitely will be coming back

    Breakfast Burrito w/ Brisket

I am impatiently waiting to go back to Milpa from the moment I left. Not only because there was so much on the menu that sparked curiosity--their dishes are supremely delicious. The breakfast burrito had been highly recommended to me and it was phenomenal but what really stole the show for me were the breakfast tacos. I enjoyed the very last bite of them just as much as the first, something that is rarely found. Be sure to visit if you are looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a solid meal with someone you love or solo. The team here is on their sh-- and know what they're doing. Like I said, I'm counting down the days until I return. 10/10

I currently have a birria and pork belly breakfast burrito addiction. I have been going every wknd, worth the walk. The burritos are delicious with the aioli sauce, really brings the burrito flavors together. It's busy during the wknds, compare to the week there is seating inside and out. Love the outdoor area, as it is very chill. Will def continue coming.

Just visited Milpa and ordered the pozole to go and wow. It tastes so delicious the flavor is so good, the chunks of meat are cut perfectly into squares its nice and tender. I like how they give you all the sides you need to enjoy your pozole. The tostadas taste nice and fresh and the chile de aceite is very spicy. Enjoying this pozole and can't wait to go back and try the strawberry matcha and other delicious foods they have.

I came to this place to try the brisket breakfast burrito. My friend saw the lady who was preparing the food. She got distracted by one of the workers and dropped a towel on the floor. Instead of discarding the dirty towel, she picked it back up and wiped the counter where the food is being prepared. She put our tortilla's on top of the counter and continued preparing our food. The burrito had the plastic chemical taste and GROSS . Horrible integrity and courtesy from the employee. I will never go back to this place. Train your workers properly!!! Do better! You deserve zero stars!

I've been waiting all my life and searching high and low for the most flavorful, sweet cinnamon and orange aroma infused cafe de olla in Los Angeles...and guess what? I found it here at Milpa! (Silence because I'm savoring my cup of cafe de olla) Consider this my shortest and sweetest review yet.

In the mood for breakfast burrito - I heard this is the place to be! We ordered the pork belly and longaniza burritos and one taco - deliciousness! Love the salsa, definitely homemade and the agua fresca The service is outstanding and I appreciate the variety of coffee options. Looking forward to coming back and trying more on their menu!

3rd visit this week and My Latte has been ~Coffee PERFECTION~ Hopefully I'll get one more stop in before I head back To San Antonio, Texas.

Heard a couple rumors that this place has a great matcha latte and I was not disappointed. This small and aesthetically pleasing cafe, offering services from a coffee shop and a restaurant, will satiate any hunger and still take care of that sweet tooth. Support yall local businesses, who needs Starbucks when we got places like these.

While visiting my in-laws in LA, we needed a quick and delicious breakfast to enjoy at home with our family. With a 15-month-old who didn't nap, we found Milpa Grille on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Their breakfast burritos were not only amazing in presentation but tasted fantastic too! My husband got the birria, my sister-in-law chose the crispy pork belly, and I went for the longanisa. The longanisa burrito was my favorite! Each burrito was stuffed with cheese, the fluffiest eggs, and crispy tater tots. They were very fulfilling, none of us finished ours in one go. I only ate half and was very satisfied. My sister-in-law also enjoyed a peach tea, which she loved. The place is small and parking is limited, so my husband drove while his sister went in to pick up the order. Overall, a great spot for a hearty breakfast!

What times are they actually open? Their hours on their ig, yelp and google maps differ from each other - idk who to believe😩

If I remember from the last time I called a few weeks ago, they open at 8am, Monday -Friday. You should call to make sure, though.

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

I always make big orders, and share with family and friends. today I made a regular size order (5 arepas con queso y 10 empanadas) picked them up on my break. Get back to work and noticed none of the arepas had cheese. called and let them know. Didn't ask for anything. After thinking about it, asked if I could stop later, on my way home, to pick up the missing cheese. The lady said of course and that she'd be there. She offered a free order of arepas to fix their mistake. Once I arrived the lady recognized me right away and told me they would give me three arepas, I said that was fine. She told me it was going to be a while and couldn't tell me how long because there was a big order. Then she came out of the kitchen and said the owner had said Two arepas. I told her that was fine, but I was more concerned about the time it would take. I heard the owner saying from the kitchen that it would be fast. I said ok. I asked if I could have cheese for the other three arepas. The owner told (from the kitchen) no! That she'd was giving me two arepas already. I asked her to come out and speak to me that I had not asked for anything free and did not want to eat the initial arepas without cheese. She replied that she could not come out of the kitchen to speak to me because she was busy. I didn't say anything else and left without the cheese I had original requested or more arepas. Not sure where she thought she was doing me a favor. They made me the mistake and handled the whole situation as if they were accommodating me for something I had done! I will never go back or any of my friends or family.

The drinks were excellent, high quality, beautifully presented, and definitely one of the highlights of the visit. We ordered the shrimp fajitas, which were delicious. The salsas were packed with flavor, and the fresh tortillas really elevated the dish. I'd recommend ordering the fajitas as an individual meal rather than sharing. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. It took quite a while to receive menus and be acknowledged. Our bartender seemed very disengaged, there was no greeting, no small talk, and the interaction felt pretty transactional. I even asked for his name, it was unique, but I completely forgot it. Something with a C or K? One of the other bartenders stopped by to check on us and was much more personable and welcoming. There also seemed to be an odd dynamic behind the bar.
