There are several memorabilia about Mexican American culture on the walls. Making it feel authentically a Mexican restaurant atmosphere. The service is nice and friendly. They accommodate you based on where you want to eat. There are many options to choose from, from eating in door, or out door options, or take out. It is a busy restaurant since it's right across the general hospital and many orders come through, so it may take some time to get your order, but there are many things you can do while waiting, watch tv or just admiring all the memorabilia! Hands down they have one of the best (if not, the absolute best) chilaquiles! I bring my friends and family and are never disappointed. The place can take a while so I would order ahead of time. The place can be empty at times during the weekday which I prefer if I'm looking for a chill lunch spot away from busyness of work but the music can be too loud for that. I even asked if there was a new cook in the kitchen because the food was so different from what I expected, but I was told there was not. MX 30 30 prices are pricey but accessible for tacos, burritos, and the works-- they have both a breakfast and lunch menu and their various egg types are delicious. Their complementary chip appetizers keep you crunching as you wait for the food to arrive freshly cooked and plated. Another good meal at MX 30 30. I ordered the Plato Mexicano (Asada, Carnitas, Chicken 1 Taco Dorado, 1, Rice and Beans). The dish was excellent. All three proteins were nicely seasoned, and the flavors were on point. I'm currently on a crunchy taco kick, so I also had an Asada Crunchy Taco. It was very tasty, as are the Carne Asada Soft Tacos. I've been here a few times now and I've never left disappointed. The service is very friendly and minus the difficult parking situation, you can't go wrong eating at MX 30 30. I will be back. read more

Although it's small, it has a vast amount of Mexican culture incorporated into the interior design. I loved the appreciated and recognition for Mexican figures. The service was great! Came here for the first time on Saturday and I really like the food here! The location is fairly unassuming; it is right across the street from LAC+USC hospital and is nestled in between a market and a motel. The area is also a little bit sketchy but for a LA native, its not that bad. We ordered a couple of carne asada tacos, the cactus salad, the burrito mojado, chile relleno plate, and the carne en su jugo. Everything was really good, but the star of the show has to be the salsas. Backtracking a bit, we actually ordered our food for take out and expected to wait a bit in the restaurant. The lady up front was so nice! She couldn't speak English that well but she tried so hard to communicate with us and made sure that we got exactly what we wanted. After ordering, we sat at the table and waited for the food. Not 5 minutes later, the same nice lady comes out with a basket of chips and their three salsas. All of them were good! First timer today. 1. Got a wet birria burrito (no rice no beans - trying to stay low carb) - it was the best burrito I've had in a long time. 2. The birria was tender and melted in my mouth - the sauces - the salsa - just everything was a symphony and worked so well together. 3. Was at USC hospital and found this place on Yelp. It was the closest restaurant around without having to drive. The restaurant was very clean and had nice decor. Service staff was very friendly and quick. I ordered the hard shell tacos with shredded beef. I liked how crispy the taco shell was and the seasoning on the shredded beef. The rice and beans were nicely seasoned as well. Not salty whatsoever and the beans had a nice consistency. I was looking for more of a hole in the wall type Mexican restaurant but this did the job. Last time the rice was a little bland. During this visit they made it with enough spices and salt; they were very satisfying. The chile was smothered and stuffed with melty cheese. The outside was broiled a little bit. Yum! The salsa used was good. It is a strong flavor and rich. The egg batter held up well and wasn't too greasy. The chips and salsa before hand were fresh and delicious. I had an agua de melon what was house made. Visiting everyday at Keck USC and avoiding hospital food is a must. discovered MX 3030 food truck across the street. This has been seriously the only good thing about our family's regular visits to the hospital. Clean food truck with such courteous and nice people. first visit I ordered the Burrito Mojado with pork. so good and tasty. really good homemade salsas. second visit was for seafood enchiladas. i liked this even better. spicy with just the right amount of heat. served with rice and beans. i found the place since the food truck only parked across from Keck on the weekdays. I googled and found their location on Marengo. I will try to visit the restaurant. if the food on a truck represents their quality commitment. i am sure i will be happy with the restaurant. I really did enjoy eating here but I will be honest by saying the food was decent. My plate of ranchera came out extremely tough and thick and the tortillas were not warmed up thoroughly. The bistek did not have much flavor but was tastier than the ranchera. Salsas were yummy and so were the chips. The cafe de la olla was delicious. I made an order by phone l ask her in how long is going to be ready she said 20 minutes okay she is the one who said 20 minutes l didn't put the time it was her. I let the 20 minutes pass than l went to pick up my order when l get there l pay and wait for my order since it was not ready than l just wait. After almost 40 minutes waiting l decide to ask her if they have forgotten my order because l need it to leave since my break was over that if it was not ready l would have to cancelled. She give me a rude face and rolled her eyes and told me with a rude attitude we are busy don't you see Señora!!! Why she didn't tell me that since the moment l called, she could have said your order is going to take about an hour because we aver super busy. Take notes lady. To me that's disrespectful because l just asked her in a very well manner about my order. Probably one customer is nothing for them but l will never go back to that restaurant, we work very hard to make our money l wasn't asking for fee food. Mexicanos 30-30 Thave a street truck behind Keck USC Medical Center. (they also have a restaurant ) I have tried all the trucks and this one is the best. When you're at hospital for you or for someone else, it's always stressful and eating right is important. They made me an incredible Asada plate. Their tortillas were so good (and I am picky ) and they make their own salsa. You can buy it by the bottle. When we were there last week, It took so long until I was free to go , and I was very sad to have missed them, but I look forward to seeing them again next time we're up at KECK for medical appointments. And I want to add that when I went to purchase their salsa, they didn't have any on the truck, so the gentleman made a phone call and from their restaurant they came and delivered it. I'm a Long Beach native so I'm no stranger so exorbitant prices but I came today to MX 30 30 and was Honestly shocked at how they handled their menu compared to their advertised prices online. I ordered a simple machaca breakfast burrito and was charged an extra dollar for machaca which has never been done to me at any restaurant I've ever visited. And I was charged an extra .50 cents for beans even though they are already advertised to be in the burrito (a serious what the F moment here) and when I asked if it came with rice (an item normally already included with a burrito) I was told it would be an extra cost. So from an 8.95$ burrito advertised online it goes to 15.86 in person. Horrible place. Never even got my burrito because of a 30 minute wait time. read more

First tried their food at a catered event and had to try the restaurant. Catered event food was delicious. It's was a taco bar spread with tasty sides, salsas, and aguas frescas. Came to their restaurant across county hospital : Amazing, friendly service and very welcoming environment. Their cafe de olla is delicious. The green sauce is addicting! If you know you know. Enjoyed my chilaquiles which they recommended to get with half and half red/green sauce. Having tried both, I preferred the green sauce. The chilaquiles had a bit too much melted cheese for my liking but they were good nonetheless. A fried egg, rice, and beans completed my meal. We noticed a lot of to go orders being called in and picked up. People definitely know of this place and and it is obvious people come back for more. Our server mentioned weekdays between 11am and 1pm is their busiest time. It's a small restaurant with a few additional tables on a patio.
