Chicken Bone Broth Soup - comes with bread
    Brian V.

This place, located in a tiny lot/strip mall, specializes in soup. The soup I ordered tasted like it was made from scratch. It had really delicious fresh ingredients. The service was very friendly and helpful. I think the spot is more conducive to more takeout though as there's only limited seating inside and out. I bookmarked this spot a while back because I came across and thought to myself that there's not a lot of places that specializes in different types of soup (my frame of reference is the soup nazi from the Seinfeld episode - lots of places that serve soup in the area but not specializes in different types like this spot). I was feeling a little under the weather at the time, so I thought grabbing soup would be a great idea. I ordered the chicken bone broth soup and it was exactly what I needed. I like that I had a little bit of tartness to it as well, as I like to squeeze lemon into my chicken soup personally. Definitely would love to come back and try more of their delicious soups. Parking at this location is a little tight. But I think I've came during a time it wasn't that busy and got lucky.

Nice cozy spot, not designed for fine dining but they have some tables inside and outside if you want to eat there. I tried Beyran, a traditional Anatolian (Antep) soup and it was fine. Parking is a problem. Also look for the store name "Gas robot Eats" instead of Soupchu. All meats in the menu are halal, noted inside the store's posted menu. Aside from soups they have a variety of burgers and kebabs as well as traditional Turkish meals such as "Hünkar Beğendi".

Lentil soup and fresh hummus, and pita bread

I love the collard green soup and my favorite is the red lentil soup.. Plus, the hummus is so freaking good. Paired with the soft fresh pita bread. After that, definitely have some banana pudding.

I ordered through DoorDash so my experience might be different than if you ordered directly through them. I ordered the Bone Broth Chicken soup and it was pretty good. It's pretty herby and tastes homey. I have a cold right now and I felt pretty good immediately after having the soup! I will say it's a bit pricy, I think I paid $10.50 for a bowl of soup, that didn't have too much chicken in it, and it came with a small slice of bread. I added extra bread for $2.50 and it was really just 1 more slice of bread (cut into 2 pieces). Again, DoorDash typically inflates pricing, but I did feel like it was a bit expensive for what it was.

I googled soup options last winter when I had a bad cold & found https://www.soupchu.com. I've been back many times to get incredible comfort food here. The wraps & protein bowls are as amazing as the soup. Everything they make is bursting with flavor. The owner is often on-site making food or serving customers. He is kind, welcoming & eager to introduce you to healthy options. They are organized & everything is fresh. So, things are done fast & take out is a breeze. Everything about this joint is addictive in a positive way. Best of all the flavors are authentic. I bring home the wraps & salads when I have guest & want to serve unique food that pleases everyone.

Dang, this place is delicious! Got the chicken soup and devoured it, even though it's literally 80 degrees in my house right now. I wanted to give the place a try because I love a good soup and there aren't many soup places in LA. I also think it was quite a lot of food for the price. $10.50 for any meal amount of food from a nice restaurant in LA is kind of unheard of. I also got the Sultan's Delight which I ordered for someone else. Tried a sample and it's also delicious! So happy they've opened up! I ordered delivery and I really appreciate the compostable, bamboo based containers they came in.

It's a huge space that gave more industrial vibe to me than traditional Taiwanese theme, but it's totally a very convenient dining spot for both small and big group. We tried some from the menu and were pleased by all of them. They might look small but very filling actually since all the bowls were filled to top. The Dan Dan noodles have flavorful peanut sauce with it perfect noodles texture. Would recommend add extra sides for proteins, which we opted for pork belly and minced pork. The belly was extremely tender with thick juicy slices. The minced pork was equally palatable. They're generous in portion for being sides, we even packed some home. We obviously didn't skip their Hakka Mochi for dessert, which were still warm chewy yet moist when served and covered in overflowing black sesame and peanut powder. I wasn't usually a fan of black sesame but decided to give this one a try anyway and ending up no regrets at all! The powder was such spoiling mix of sweet and salty in one bite.

Dashi was VERY good. Generous amount of grated daikon. Assort. Tempura: Saw this being served while waiting. Looked really good and it WAS! Large shiitake mushroom. Fan cut Japanese eggplant, kabocha pumpkin, shrimp tempura & two (2) shiso leaves. All VERY crisp not oily. Warm dashi side had deep umami rich flavor. Probably made the legit kombu & bonita flake method. #1 ordered the Miso carbonara: garlicky carbonara served with their signature house-rolled out udon. Wonderful dish. Portion sizes were adequate. #2 ordered the Uni carbonara: same garlicky carbonara with uni bits strewn about. Estimating one whole uni broken. This actually works for ease of eating. Plus, uni ranges in the $18/oz on the low end to $60 or more/oz on the higher end. Yes we love & appreciate their gonads. Udon noodles were chewy, bouncy & worth the wait. Yeah yeah....the dough is purchased. Not house made. But, seriously you've seen the YouTube videos of restaurants specializing in Japan? Yes there are places in LA who make their dough & roll it out. It's Hella lot of work! Yamachan produces large scale udon/ramen in San Jose. It's fine. Let them work out the dough to water ratio. Also portion size was decent since we shared a couple apps.
