Aside from the pleasing aesthetics of the building and lobby this establishment is not in the business of pleasing customers. I scheduled a routine service on my brakes and also inquired about getting my cup holder fixed (would not open). Our vehicle was purchased roughly a year ago from the Toyota Dealership so my assumption was that getting a simple cup holder unstuck would be a remedial task. We received a phone call after an hour of dropping our vehicle off and a representative left a voicemail asking us to call back. We called back with 5 minutes and spent the next 30 minutes on hold (both myself and my wife calling from separate lines) while the voice prompt stated we were both number 2 in line. When we finally did get ahold of a customer service representative she said oh it was just a courtesy call and disregarded the entire conversation. By the time we got ahold of a customer representative who could tell us about our vehicle we were quoted at a fair rate for the brakes and nearly a whopping 500 dollars to repair a CUPHOLDER with a broken spring. Upon returning to the dealership to pick up our vehicle I wandered around aimlessly trying to find assistance of how to pay and pick up my vehicle. Clerks walked past me several times without asking if I needed assistance and after asking three different employees I was able to track down the one person who was handling my vehicle, only to be sent to another individual to pay. When asked a question about the warranty on the brakes I was quickly directed to go see another individual. By the time I left this establishment I was frustrated and displeased. For any future service for my vehicle I will go out of my way to avoid this establishment. read more

Updated- So I ended up waiting there 2 hours and 10 mins. All they did was change the oil rotated the tires and made sure my tires had enough air. Appointments don't count for anything. They don't give you any kind of ETA or update. There was at least 20 people waiting in the lobby on a Wednesday morning, all appointments, and they were only finishing one person every half hour. Idk how many people they slot for each appointment time but it's way more than they can handle. The bottom line is this place is worse than the DMV. If you're going to go here for your free service appointment, try to have your car dropped off. If all you're coming for is an oil change, seriously, just pay to hain 10 mins or less. Some free things just aren't worth it. read more

I called into this dealership many months ago on potentially buying a truck. I made a purchase elsewhere and told the sales guy I'm no longer interested. Since then they've been emailing me and it's driving me up the wall. I've unsubscribed multiple times, I've called them to take me off the list, and here I am months later getting spammed to high heaven with Sweet Deals. I'll never recommend this dealership to anyone and for the love of all that is holy NEVER give a car dealership your email address! I'm giving it 1 star because the salesmen are great. Very helpful and very knowledgeable. However I won't be purchasing any more vehicles from them. I bought a Camry that had a lower sales price than the other cars on the lot. When I got home and looked closely at my paper work not only had they changed the price but they had added an optional service agreement that I specifically said I don't want. I signed off stating I did not want any additional service or extended service/maintenance and yet it was still added to my paperwork. It is my fault for not looking closely at the documents but I had been there for hours and just wanted to get the hell out of there. Never again. Dana Kent, "master service advi it's" customer service was piss poor and his obnoxious attitude about it was incredibly appalling. The way he continued to blow me off and assist other customers as I was trying speak to him. How he blamed my dealership for "not doing their job." He basically called me a liar when I brought in my paper work to show him that I did not pay him and how he he didn't inform me as to what was completed. I must say that this was an awesome car buying experience. I was looking for a used car for less than $20 and with less than 50k miles. I'm happy to say that Russ helped me find it. After walking the lot for almost 5 mins I noticed this nice dark blue Honda Accord Sport. I walked up and saw the price and miles then I knew it was it. Russ then got the keys and explained all the features it had to me. We then took it on a test drive. The car drove great! We got back to the lot and did the application. Russ explained the warranty info, financing, apr and much more. Well I bought the car! During the time Russ was doing the credit app he let me know that there was complementary grilled food for the customers. I went out and got a bite to eat for free while I was waiting. Amazing Customer Service!! My wife Sandra and I came into the dealership around 6pm on Wednesday evening and were met by Charles Jiminez. Charles is areally personable guy, he took the time to get toknow us, asked questions about why we were looking to buy a car and what we wanted to get out of our car. I only had two cars on my "short-list", the Toyota Prius and the VW Golf TDI. The Prius was the first car we looked at. After discussing our desires, Charles suggested we look at a used 2012 Prius Model 4. It was fully loaded with leather interior, climate control, heated seats, etc. Charles recommending the used car over the new car was my first inkling that this dealership was different. I know that the margin on used cars is typically lower than new but Charles seemed more interested in providng me a service than in making a buck. We haggled a little over price and in the end agreed on something was well within our budget. We drove the car, loved it and moved on to financing. William Belo was our Finance person and he also was truly more interested in providing a service than in making a buck. He took time to explain to us the various financing options and told us that he had a deal for us and we signed the paperwork, the car was ours and the dealwas done! William got us right to our desired payment but he was not satisfied with the deal and asked us if it would be ok if he contiues to work on the getting us a better deal. Of course we said yes and went home with our Prius! The next day we got a call to come back to the dealer, William Belo had found a better deal, had cut our interest rate by half, reduced our payment by $40 and gotten us better warranty coverage!!! WOW!!! I was totally blown away!! This dealer continued working on my deal and got me a much better deal even after they had a signed contract with me. What more can I say. Great people, great service, they care about you coming back and seem to genuinely want you to walk away happy and boy am I!! We just bought our Toyota Tundra last night at Milton Ruben. Our salesman was Kelton Hayes. Our salesman was amazing to say the least. However we got a bad deal. Should have come back the next day refreshed and ready to fight it out however I was so exhausted at that point. They gave us 27,900 for vehicles they can sell after coming down for around 36,000. They were willing to work out a deal on a premium truck but not the truck we bought. However they did throw in 500 worth of accessories which probably costed them half that. I would highly suggest going to another dealer or further out from fort gordon. You could definitely save yourself the headache and thousands of dollars. read more

I have been to many Toyota service departments in different states. I have never been to a worse service department than this one. They simply do not care if they get your business or not. I had an 8:30 appointment.....I arrived at 8:00.....there were 3 other people there. My appointment was for an oil change. I was still there at 11:30 waiting. I went to the office to find out what the problem was......they had no idea and did not care. When I finally got my car back they had done a tire rotation that I did not ask for and the oil change.......and charged me for both. I asked them if they were the only game in town......it did not even faze them......they truly did not care about customer service at all. This is a horrible place. I was referred by a good friend to see Brit Haynes. We talked over the phone and he listened to our needs for getting our son a used car. I stressed that this car has to be reliable and at least last him over 2yrs so he can finish college. My husband and I chose a few cars online to view on Saturday, July 19th. I recently visited Milton Ruben Toyota recently for a 10000 mile service in which I received an oil change, tire rotation, and general inspection of the vehicle. During this first visit it was determined the tires on my vehicle needed to be replaced in which a subsequent visit was scheduled. Both visits went well very unlike the visit where I negatively reviewed this place and both visits have reassured Milton Ruben as a worthy car dealership. For my first visit, I went in for my car service on a Saturday afternoon at 315 pm for the general 10000 mile service when my car was at approximately 60000 miles. Visiting at this time in the afternoon seemed quieter than the morning visits I've previously had. The visit took just over an hour at which point I was told about the results. It was determined at this first visit that my vehicles tires needed to be replaced which I was expecting. I expected this given they were the original tires on the vehicle and they were at 60000 miles of which the last 20000 miles have been driven on more questionable roads. I was told they needed to acquire new tires and they then worked with me to reschedule another late Saturday afternoon appointment. For my subsequent appointment which happened at Milton Ruben two weeks later, I came in around the same time 315 pm on a Saturday afternoon and around 430 pm I had new tires on my vehicle. I was charged within 10% of the estimated total price and given a few other service benefits with my tires at the dealership which worked for me. On this note, Milton Ruben like other car dealerships probably was more expensive than smaller mechanic shops but you get what you pay for and revisits only happen if necessary. Milton Rubens' service advisors Id dealt with on these occasions were sensitive to my work schedule and very upfront about what was wrong with my tires. They showed me the tread depth it was currently at, the other scoring factors and their evaluation scale which showed why they required attention. The service advisors Id dealt with on these two visits valued my business and my time further ensuring me as a customer for future maintenance checkups as long as I stay working in the Augusta area. On this note regarding service advisors, on both of these visits I did not notice the service advisor Id dealt with in my 1 star review of the business working there which could be a sign of how Milton Ruben's management handles situations. Overall I was pleased with the outcome of both visits, my initial maintenance was taken care of and the subsequent visit was done out of necessity and not out of a desire to justify further expenditures like I have felt at some auto shops. As long as I stay working in Augusta and if the future maintenance visits remain like the experience covered under this review, I'll be coming back to Milton Ruben again. read more

Obviously Milton Ruben auto repair services, assume that money grows on trees? So, I take time off from work, to accompany my 86 year old father to his repair appointment with Milton Rubin, because his car's transmission was leaking fluid profusely! We were informed that by way of their "Professionally Thorough Diagnostic Inspection!" of the transmission, that a seal was needed to stop the leakage! Fine, we have the seal work done for approximately $200! They kindly inform us, that no other transmission problems existed after their thorough diagnostic inspection of his transmission! About 3 days later, Dad looks under his car, you've guessed it, a puddle of leaked transmission fluid on the ground! Back to Milton Ruben we go! Upon further "Professional Diagnostic Transmission Inspection!", a hole in the transmission was discovered!, that had been mysteriously overlooked only 2 days earlier, requiring an $850 cap to cover the hole? Why not just turn over Dad's life savings to you? Please, just go somewhere else for auto repairs!SMH! read more

I recently purchased a Toyota RAV4 from Milton Ruben Toyota. I stopped in on a Saturday as I wanted to compare the RAV4 to Highlander to see which better met our needs. I told the sales staff I did not want to purchase on the day as I had to transfer a deposit to my checking account which can take a few days to post. I decided on the RAV4 and was promoted to purchase the car on the day, rather than come back as I was planning. I was assured that I could bring my trade in and deposit at the end of the week no problem. I was generally very happy with the sales experience. When organizing the financing, I was asked to write a check for the deposit and again repeatedly assured that they would not cash it until I called in later in the week to give them the all clear that the money had been transferred. Later that week, I checked my account and the money had cleared but to my surprise the check had already been cashed! I had not rung in to tell them it was ok to do this, they had gone ahead despite multiple affirmations on the day I purchased the car that they would NOT do this. I called to complain, leaving 2 messages with the finance agent asking them to call me back and explain this but never received a call back. Luckily the money had gone into the account that night, otherwise they would have overdrawn my checking account and caused me to pay numerous bank fees and be late on other payments. I then gave negative feedback to the customer service survey and relayed this story and was automatically told by the computer response that since I gave negative feedback someone would contact me to discuss my dissatisfaction. Again, no call back. Customer service is easy when the customer is happy - apparently Milton Ruben is not interested resolving REAL complaints... I have always driven a Toyota and plan to purchase another car in 2 years - this time I'll go down the road to another dealer...... read more

I brought my 2014 Camry here for an oil change and tire rotation. When I arrived home, I noticed my tires were still in the same position. I know this because my left tire and rim had slight damage. THEY DID NOT ROTATE MY TIRES...I am not even sure if they changed the oil. I called the 1-800 Toyota number and made a complaint. I was contacted by the manager at Milton Ruben and he asked what can we do to fix this. I had them complete an alignment for free. I should not have had to go through all of this for a basic service. I can't speak for the sales team, but if you want service done on your car, like a major part repair/replacement, prepare to have your car kept overnight. Two nights if they have to order a part from Toyota's warehouses (closest one is in Jacksonville, FL). I was traveling to the Augusta area for the weekend, and my radiator overheated and the car had to be towed in. Unfortunately, it didn't get towed in until late at night after the service department had long since closed; so I had to call the dealership the following morning to inform them that my car was in the service lot, and had to schedule an appointment (?!!) to get it fixed. It was in the middle of the morning, which would seem reasonable at any other Toyota dealership I've been to, but I ended up staying for 8 hours before I could finally go home. But that's not all. The reason why I had to stay so long was because one of the other customers got their radiator changed that day too, and there were no other radiators in stock (mine needed a total replacement). That being said, they wouldn't have been able to fix mine until the following morning. I had to explain my predicament to the manager (which I've never had to do for any problem I've had at any Toyota dealership I've been to in the past), that I was not from the Augusta area (I'm from Macon, which is a good 2-3 hour drive) and had to take a day off from work, rent a car and book a hotel the night before to be there, and that I would have to book another night and extend my car rental...which costs more money. I told them I could not afford to miss another day of work on account of what should have been an emergency repair. They ended up ordering an aftermarket radiator so I could get back on the road as soon as possible. On top of all of that, while I was waiting for my car to get fixed, I got to chat with some other customers. One of them had been there five times already for what should have been an easy fix that got misdiagnosed. They had the repair records and everything. If local customers aren't happy with the service they are getting, what good is that going to do for someone from out-of-town who needs an emergency repair? Toyota is usually good about service times and parts-and-labor costs, but this is unacceptable. If you have a Toyota, don't bother going to this dealership for any major repairs. Either go to a local mechanic, or find another Toyota dealership nearby. read more

If i could give them a minus star I would certainly do it. My niece bought a brand new pickup truck from Milton Ruben. It was time for vehicle to be serviced and she decided to do it herself. The reason for her doing it was because she had three family members carry their vehicle to have them serviced and they did not touch the vehicles, but charged for the service. When she was changing the oil her uncle realized there was battery acid under the hood, fender well and all on the engine. They checked the battery and there was a hole in the bottom of the battery. She contacted Milton Ruben, and the Toyota Company and they would not do anything about it. AFter being without her truck for over 1 year (still made payments) and having to hire an attorney she got a small check which does not even pay for repairs. Attorney said when she purchased the vehicle, she signed paperwork that would not allow her to sue. EVeryone signs this paper when purchasing a vehicle. We have heard a lot of horror stories about Milton Ruben and I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

At this writing, we have been waiting over FOUR HOURS. Hell, I could have gone to the hospital and gotten my leg replaced in less time!! We have been told that the car will be "right up" for over two hours now. Are we going to get a discount on this service? Are you kidding? This is a travesty. Just going to mention that most of the positive reviews come from people who just bought their vehicle. Most of the negative reviews come from those who have already purchased their vehicle and are having it serviced, whether they purchased here or not. I purchased my truck from here, and that experience was about a 3/5. I definitely got screwed, but I blame myself. I can't stand how this place treats you after you have already purchased. I could go in to detail, but I will just leave it at this- if you expect to not wait 3 hrs for an oil change and tire rotation, this isn't the place for you. If you have an issue with your vehicle and they offer to do a ride along, they're still going to ignore the problem. I will say that the manager put forth minimum effort to get rid of me, but this place isn't for you if you want that. I went in with a nail in my tire at the same time that I was getting my scheduled oil change and tire rotation. I was told that it was $30 to have them patch the tire. I told the manager that Goodyear, Kauffman, and discount tire do it free. I bought a $35,000+ truck and I figured they would do it free but evidentially this isn't covered under warranty. I said ok, well just because I hate this place and they're never getting another cent from me, I'll take it somewhere else. Well, I had some things come up and couldn't get it patched yet. So here I am three days later with it completely flat now that I'm off work, and it's in the same tire that I've BEEN having problems with. These lying, cheating, pieces of trash told me they rotated my tires but they really didn't. I wonder if they actually changed my oil. This place is garbage. read more

Worst experience ever. Called on Monday and made an appt for today (Wednesday) explained that I had to work monday and Tuesday and if the particular car I was interested in sold to please call me. Provided my work and cell phone number. Also explained that I was taking the day off to come look at this car since it's an hour and 1/2 drive one way and that I was having to pay a baby sitter to watch my 1 1/2 year old. The sales rep called me Wednesday morning to confirm my appt. When I arrived at the dealership my drivers license was ran to begin test driving. As we walked outside a different car was waiting. The sales rep who I had been speaking with for 2 weeks then informed me that the Tahoe I was interested in was no longer available and had indeed been sold the day before. Of course I was very upset. The sales rep went to the manager who told him he could fill my car up with gas for the incovience. Seriously?! Where is the customer service at? The manger never came and spoke to me face to face. A tank of gas (and my car was already 1/2 full) to replace literally hours wasted driving, the cost of me missing work, and me having to pay a baby sitter! Absolutely ridiculous! read more

I am writing to tell whoever can read this about my unacceptable experience at your location. I had an 12:30 appointment that it took me almost a week to get scheduled. When this appointment was made I was told I would be in and out in 40 minutes so 12:30 allowed me enough time to get to work by 2. Here it is at 2:30 and I'm just now being able to head to work. I arrived at 12:15 for my 12:30 appointment. After 1:20 I asked about my car, was told that it was being worked on that 20 minutes not later would it be ready. 1:45 I am told again that my car would be 15 minutes. Never have I been to a dealership with no concept of time. What is the purpose of an appointment if accountability will not be held. I finally get my car at 2:20. 2 hours!!! 2 hours after my appointment time. I am now going to be an hour late for work! This is unacceptable and as a manager I would never let a client walk away unhappy after this situation! I will NEVER RECOMMEND YOUR DEALERSHIP. AS A LOYAL TOYOTA FAN, LOOKING FOR A NEW VEHICLE.
