Went in at 9 AM to do a walk-in for a gel fill and they asked if I could come back because they have appointments at 9 AM. When I pointed out that it was 9:04 they said something to each other and then said "Come back later!" The whole point that someone would come in when they're just open is so they can get their service right away. My suggestion is that this shop just change to "By Appointment Only" or that they just tell people when they come in that they're are only seeing appointments this morning instead of letting people tell them what service they want then to just turn them away. read more

Mimi and her ladies are always awesome. They give great services and are reasonably priced. I live about 3 hours away, and come back just to come here. Oh, AND THEY'RE AMAZING WITH KIDS. I know it seems odd to bring a 3 year old along for something relaxing, but they do her nails, are very patient and they give her lots of attention (which of course, she loves.) They remodeled since my last visit...I haven't been in years was in Castro valley this past weekend to visit family . Decided to treat myself to a mani pedi ,pedi was amazing full set not so much went in on Sunday morning one of first clients inside had two techs working on me still took almost 2.5 hrs . Then I was told they could give me a basic design I already provided the picture and was approved being that we were running out of time because of work I asked if they could continue my service when I'm off or next day .they agreeed I come back the next day they forgot they told me I could come back then I had to wait another 20 mins for someone to help me mind you I came again while they just open so there were only 2 other customer. After waiting Mimi told me they can't do my design because it was complicated (it was literally a free paint design I just wanted squiggly lines ) she proceeded to tell me they only do basic design when they have a sign by the register that states they do ombre nails and other design even on there website they have example work of design more detailed than what I wanted . I can in Sunday my full set was not complete until Tuesday because my paint kept comin off. They barely wanted to fix polish job after giving me a rushed and long drawn out service.... To make matters worst they BEG for tips . A WORD OF ADVICE DON NOT BEG CUSTOMERS FOR TIPS . Let them offer based on your service. Also don't hound for tips if your not able to fulfill the job. read more

When you go to the nail salon you want the person to pay attention and do a decent job on your nails. After all you are pay a crazy amount. When I went here they only cared about how fast they can get my nails done literally the lady was speeding making me move from chair to chair so she could speed up the process. Decided to try this nail shop instead because the parking is better, since it's in a strip mall. So that's always a plus: easy parking! The place itself is very spacious with a lot of stations for pedicures. I popped in with no appointment on a Friday and they quickly attended to me. I got a gel mani/reg pedi and they get the job done. The manicure is still perfect after 2 weeks. The pedi I felt could've been more. They don't use the pumice stone to scrub the bottom of your foot. Instead, they use an exfoliant. If I'm getting a pedicure, I expect my foot to be scrubbed. Also, the price was more than I normally pay for a gel mani/reg pedi. I'll probably come here when Lena's is too busy. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I called for two mani and pedis they said they can take me in the next day. We came into the salon and all the women were just sitting on the floors when we walked in and said we have an appt they got up. They quickly started working on our nails. For my mom they did a deacent job but for my nails I am beyond disappointed. I picked my nail polish color (dark red) and the lady asked if it was for both my hands and feet I said yes. Once she was done I noticied my feet had a black nail polish color while my hands had a light red. When I told her the nails didnt match she said it was because if the lighting. Once I got up to pay and took my credit card out she said cash only. This is something they should advise customers while making the appt not when they are ready to check out. One of the ladies tried to give me a massage while my hands were drying and she made me more sore then when I walked in. I gave this salon many, many chances, mainly because its close to home, but I'd rather drive out 1/2 hour to another salon than to get treated in that manner. She seems super polite to other customers that she's known longer, or older clientele. And even though I don't speak her language, it is clear when she's talking about you as she's lifting your hands and speaking loudly to her employees. She fails to realize that she's the face of her company, and she's turning away business by her foul attitude. Never returning again, and I will never refer anyone there. Initially thought rates were little steep but by nails also last 3/4 weeks (gel polish) intact. Always busy so I'd call before showing up;even though they take walk ins. I was not pleased with my nails because they looked in a rush and they are out of shape. for my mom , the pedi was ok but not the nails. the lady asked if the size is ok and my mom wanted it a little bit shorter. then the nails technician said that if we do it shorter she won't be able to give the shape she wanted. my mom said that's ok and then she rolled her eyes and trimmed the nails . they didn't cleaned her nails after the just put the oil. as for my nails, they are bumpy and not wedding ready. read more
