Gosh, I haven't been to Mimi's Cafe since my last life. Okay, fine, since I was a child. Lol. I was looking forward to their breakfast brunch with the familia since it's been so long. I drove 30 minutes inland to meet up with them. Great, I avoided the rush on a Sunday morning! Anyhow, I was extremely disappointed with my meal. I ordered the Grand Breakfast, which is served with two eggs, two sausages, and French Toast with mixed fruits and sprinkles of powder sugar, which they called Pain Perdu. Of course, I needed my morning coffee, so I ordered their fancy Iced Peanut Butter Mocha. One thing led to another... my mocha took a while to come. I was patient until I asked the waitress to change it to a regular coffee. A minute after my request, my mocha finally comes. Fine, I guess it was made right after my request? Or was it left on the counter? Tbh, my mocha looked good but tasted horrible. Too water down, and where's the peanut butter flavor?! It was very, very, very light, to be exact. The only thing I enjoyed was the whip cream on top. Secondly, I ordered my eggs over easy, and they gave me scrambled. Oh boy, my sister complained to them for me, and the problem fixed. Thirdly, my Turkey Sausages was too dry. I didn't say anything about it as I ate it, but I was still looking forward to my Pain Perdu, their French Toast. Basically, that was what I wanted the whole time. But sadly, it was the worst I've ever had. Yes, it was painful eating their Pain Perdu. The toast was hard on the bottom, soggy, and rubbery on top. Their fresh fruits were sad, too. Sliced strawberries looked like it from a jar, and my blueberries looked like raisins! The fruits left an imprint of their shapes on my plate. And this dish cost $20. What the heck? Anyhow, I was not able to eat my Pain Perdu. I forced myself to eat the sausages. However, I ate my eggs, though! I need my caffeine, so I downed it like a shot of liquor. Yes, it was horrible, too. Thanks to my siblings and Mom. I helped them eat their food. They ordered Vegetable Omelets with Corned Beef. It tasted a little better. Still dry, but they drenched it with ketchup and hot sauce. Btw, my sister's toast was burnt like charcoal. I can't believe it was still served! I'm too embarrassed to even post pictures of the food here. It was a horrible experience. I was still hungry afterward. I had to go eat elsewhere. Lol. I usually don't write bad reviews, but sheesh, this place sucked! Whoever working in the kitchen cooking or prepping the food should be fired. The waiting staff was fine. It's not their fault. But they did forget my most important thing... my peanut butter coffee! Sorry, it's not my style. Probably won't be back. Flavorful lunch, no complimentary biscuits like before the pandemic hit. Portions very skimpy. My cousin also disliked one of her favorite sandwiches, no avocado like 2 years ago and had her Caesar salad replaced by another. The waitress was spot on serving coffee & requested water. I'm thinking it's under new ownership? It's missing "Mimi's Cafe". I will update you all after I visit again for dinner. The restaurant is big & roomy, has outdoor waiting area if it gets too busy. Been going to Mimi's for decades now and was so disappointed with the 2 workers who took my take out order. The customer service was non-existent and food was mediocre. The price, of course, was astronomical. Probably won't go there anymore. And on a Saturday night, the restaurant was empty except for myself and another person doing take out. So sad. read more

ONE STAR for service. In anticipation for Mother's Day we made reservations for our large party for brunch. We arrived and checked in 15 minutes early and we're already told that we wouldn't be seated until 45 minutes after our set reservation time. It was definitely noticeable that the front staff was struggling to keep up with the crowd. They did not take accountability for their inability to organize and seat tables in a timely manner. It was a heat wave and people waiting were all getting restless some organization such as making two separate list of people who checked in for reservations and people who were walk-ins would have greatly helped if they had bothered to problem solve and offering those who are waiting outside at the tables and all around the front area in the middle of the heat wave a cold glass of water that would have helped cool the heads of many of the patrons. This was the most unpleasant visit I have ever had at any Mimi's location. The front staff tried to blame their tablet for malfunctioning as to why we were not seated in any timely manner according to our reservation. I was told that the reservation list was inaccessible and so anyone with a reservation and anyone who was a walk up, was all combined into one list so there was no point of making a reservation. Wan at the front was not helpful, friendly or apologetic. Based on this experience today, I would never return to this institution. After waiting an exorbitant amount of time we decided to leave having never been given hope of being seated and went to a nearby restaurant who was able to accommodate us with no problems. In a restaurant service by far first and foremost, should be the focus and today's experience left a sour taste in my mouth. read more

The Mimosa Flight comes with three glasses of flavored orange juice... and one split of champagne. Would be laughable if it wasn't ridiculous. The menu mentions nothing of this, you simply get a lot of juice delivered to your table and one small 187ml bottle of champagne. Went here twice.. with my girlfriends then my Veteran husband during Veteran's Day. We were seated quickly, The service is horribke. It took half an hour just to get coffee when I as here with my gf's. with ny husband, we had to flag the waitress for service every time .. to order, to refill .. quite frustrating. The waffle was excellent! It was crispy on the outside and moist and light on the inside! I haven't had waffles that tasted this delicious in a while. My hubby has the app trio. It was ok. The bread that you're supposed to dip on the spinach dip was warm. It would have been better if it was toasted. It was a little gross. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars. It's Thanksgiving today, and I needed just two dinners. I've heard good things about the turkey dinner at Mimi's and decided to give them a try. I was told that I couldn't preorder individual meals until Thanksgiving Day. I went online very early this morning, and ordered the two turkey dinners. It was an easy process and I paid in advance online. I scheduled a pickup time for 3pm today. To be honest, I was expecting a huge line for pickup and I literally walked right in and they asked for my name on the order. I gave them my info and two minutes later I am on my way home! They were super friendly and very well organized! The food was so delicious! We loved it! Everything was perfectly prepared and tasted great! Great job to the entire team at Mimi's.
