Great alternative to the typical bar fare you find in this area. The food is fresh, flavorful and interesting. We had the hummus, original gyro and chicken curry kabob. All wonderful! Large portion sized that would have been plenty as leftovers had I been able to stop filling myself with the great tastes. The owner was pleasant, helpful and gracious. Love this place. We eat out quite a bit, even through pandemics. Even though seating wasn't an option our orders were always spot on. My husband loves the gyros and I usually get perch (Thur/Fri). Totally worth trying. Plus, the fiery feta cheese sauce is A-mazing. read more

We found this cute place on the way out of town. The parking in the back is easy to get in and out of for regular sized car or small SUV. There is limited seating inside with additional tables on the back deck. We arrived a lunch time and the staff was friendly. The items are nicely priced and are made with fresh ingredients. Placed our orders and waited about 15 minutes for our food. Very yummy and will try other menu items the next time. While we were eating two separate customers tried to pay with $100 bills. Please be kind and bring smaller bills or pay with a card. It is hard to make change for bills that large. read more

Super safe and friendly service and the food was out of this world! I had the Greek power bowl with gyro meat and all I could do was eat continuously while occasionally pausing to exclaim how good it was. I wish I'd taken a pic because it was so beautiful! My husband had the chicken shawarma- he loved it too. We just sat in the parking lot in our car and ate to our heart's content...and it is indeed, contented. An excellent gem just outside of Petoskey. A cozy cafe style setting that pairs well with great food. Portions are large and the menu variety is just right. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was the hummus- it was incredibly thick, more of a spread and not very dippable. We will repeat the next time we are in the area. read more

No debate, if you're reading this, go to Mim's. I live in NYC full time, and even by comparison to my gyro shop there, Mim's wins. The food is incredible (Original Gyro, Mediterranean Platter, the fries), great variety in Petosky, and friendly service. Mim's was the main place we ventured to for pickup during Covid. They are super diligent about safety and their staff is kind. Please don't forget to tip! I heard some people giving the staff there a hard time bc the phone line is busy, but they're busy for good reason and it wouldn't hurt to have patience for a small business that is managing to serve its customers so well during the pandemic. Counter order. Few tables. Garlic hummus. Came quick. Hendrix on the radio. Back to the hummus....warmed pitas a lil salt and pepper both fresh ground and yummy. Weakest gyros I have ever seen in the meat department. But tasty. Spicy feta fries were crispy. Feta sauce on the side was delicious. None of the pitas were grilled in butter so I guess a little more healthy. Wasnt a big fan of the chicken gyros, as were the children who ordered them. I loooooooooooooooooooooooooove this place!!!! Yes. That many o's! Friday is there specialty fried perch basket day. Do yourself a favor and hop on over and git you some. Listen, fried perch is plentiful up in Petoskey, but I bet you ain't never, EVER had perch that is seasoned and fried like this. It's truly an incredible experience. The fries that come with it....fahget about it! It's actually a Mediterranean restaurant! Yep. The menu is incredible and the food runners, cashier are super nice!! So helpful. He explains the menu and what's good, and how they cook it, season it...etc. There were 5 people in my party and 4 of us got the perch plate and MP and I split a lamb gyro, because...how can you not?!?! MIL got the salad trio plate. Uhm. I tried every single one and I'm surprised I didn't end up finishing her plate! It came with hummus, whitefish salad and a red pepper something or other. Served with fried pita chips, but not as crispy as chip, but not as soft as a regular pita. Can't really go into more detail as my head might explode. They have a great back patio if you like, it faces the woods. The inside is super cute and homey. I cant wait to go back next summer....not just for Perch Fridays! After touring Mackinac Island, we decided to drive a bit out of the way for some Greek - and we're sure glad we did! The food was fantastic and the staff were extra helpful! The falafel and gyros were tasty and fresh. We loved the hummus too. Everyone agreed that the meal was great and vegan/vegetarian friendly! We even went back for seconds.
