My friends and I stopped in last weekend. We were craving a fresh salad and Opa's did not disappoint! It was my first time there and at the recommendation of my 2 friends who love this place. We ordered 2 Greek salads, one with grilled chicken and one with lamb. Let me just say they were so delicious!!! Service was top tier and the salads so very fresh. We were in a tour group of 53 and were lucky enough to eat here. They even opened on their day off to accommodate us. We were greeting with many friendly faces and the food was excellent. The best Greek food we've encountered, to date. Interestingly, it's a Friday at 5:00 PM and maybe four customers in the place. We had a wonderful experience so it's most confusing. The Saganaki was fantastic. The flame almost reached the ceiling! Definitely getting that again. Considering the location and the price, my gyro was a terrific value and tasted great. They loaded up on the meat and the tzatziki sauce. The Spanakopita were like little spring rolls filled with spinach. Not the best I've had, but better than average. They certainly were worth bringing home the extras. Heated-up wonderfully the next day! This is an extremely clean restaurant, including the restrooms. There is plenty of parking and our server was both friendly and efficient. Saving the best for last. The lighting was just enough to see our food and function easily, but dark and intimate. ~and~ The music was perfect. Popular hits from the 70's, 80's and 90's performed by smooth jazz artists. The Stella Starlight Trio covering "Don't You (Forget About Me)", Apollinare Rossi's "You're So Vain" and "Smoke on the Water" by The Coltrane Quartet contribute to the place's smoky, cocktail lounge atmosphere. The guys at Knitology recommended that we go to Opa! for lunch. The waiter was great and the food delicious. My husband had the Cajun fish sandwich. He said it was excellent, probably the best Cajun fish he ever had. I had the open faced Gyro which comes with a Greek salad. So very good and more than enough to eat. The restaurant is clean and fresh looking. The restrooms were also clean. There is plenty of parking, even though the parking lot is kind of convoluted. I understand that they also do catering. Unfortunately it's not what it used to be. I'm wondering if Paul is on site any more. I gave a 2 for servers because it wasn't all their fault. However, nothing on our order was correct. It was a Friday night, but only 3 tables were occupied (including ours). For simplicity's sake we ordered a simple hot dog w/mustard and onion. What we got was a cold hot dog and cold bun with no mustard or onion, but pickles instead. Our waiter didn't even recognize that there was a mistake. A lady in our party ordered a glass of the house red and it was obvious to all at our table, that it was "corked". Waiter claimed it was freshly opened, but it smelled like vinegar and she couldn't drink it. If you order Greek food, it's great, but a significant downgrade in everything else. read more

A friend had been after me to check out OPA. We went together today with high anticipation of a great lunch. We both ordered the traditional gyros. Sorry to say that the waitress didn't have much expression or joy in her but maybe she had a bad day. When our lunch arrive it looked really good. Our extra crispy French fries were perhaps the best #10 fries EVER! The gyros certainly had adequate toppings but when we tried to fold it up and take a bite, the bread cracked apart. The gyro meat was cold and a tad dry, in fave the entire gyro was not only cold but there was no real taste that stood out. My friend is a rough critic and I cringed a bit as she complained to the waitress but the bill was $30 and we had only had water to drink. That's a chunk to pay in contrast to Arby's gyro which I hope to get soon because I've heard it is delicious. The waitress asked if my friend wanted some baklava and she told her sure, but I felt a definite Dismissal from her that nothing can make up for bad meal when we had been visiting at the hospital all day for 6 days in a row. The 3 small pieces of baklava better be good because my friend took them home for later. I don't prefer to have a bad meal as much as I don't enjoy giving a poor review but because their restaurant had a lot of vacant seats at dinner time I know this review is spot on. Excellent food! So glad there were gluten free options! The service was very good, and the waiter was especially helpful. The restaurant itself didn't exactly have a homey atmosphere, and the prices were a bit high. I would recommend this place though, and I'd probably want to go back. read more

I'm new to the area and have been curious about Opa! because every time I drive by the parking lot always seemed empty. I went for lunch and had the bleu cheese burger w/fries and my husband had a flatbread with a side salad. Everything was surprisingly great! Wow. Let me tell you. I NEVER write reviews, but I feel like I've been robbed . Fries were $ 6.99 . Who charges that much for fries? When we got them , I think I counted 15 fries. Over fried , greasy. They were spread out on a small plate and you could see the bottom of the plate. Flint Coney? Joke. I wondered if there was an onion shortage. 6 or 7 small pieces of onion graced the top of my dog. The bun was hard . How can you screw up a bun? The meat was not a Flint coney, although I believe the hotdog was a Kogel. The waitress was so lazy , she couldn't even walk up and get us to seat us. They weren't even busy. She pointed from across the room. I was looking for manners that might be an up charge on the menu , but didn't see it. She did the same with a group of 8 and they turned right around and left. I am at a loss for reading the bad reviews. I have had gyros at many places even in Greece and the gyro is so delicious. Definitely one of the best tzatziki sauces I have sampled. There was plenty of meat on my gyro. I am surprised at the amount flavor of the vegetables in the winter. It's $15 for a gyro and fries which is pretty much the going rate of burgers and sandwiches in the area. I only wish I had taken a picture of the gyro before I ate it. I don't do too many reviews but the food was so good that I had to give them a good review. I will definitely be back! read more

Not very good value. The open faced chicken gyro was quite tasty, but not enough chicken and too much tzatziki, so it was drippy. Maybe it was their 'off' day, so hopefully they'll see this review and do better. Needs more chicken, less sauce. read more

First time visit - ordered a rueben sandwich with fries. Sandwich was loaded down with kraut and a few scraps of corned beef. Over priced $13 sandwich (and charged $1.00 for two ice waters). I took the sandwich back to the restaurant. The server indicated that the owner weighs all of the meat for the sandwiches. Get this ... a "generous" 4 ounces of corned beef. However, the worst part of our experience was the rude waitress, Amanda. Okay, I was born and raised down state and when I heard about Opa's I had to get over there and get my fix. First appearance; its clean and has ample parking that matches its seating. My wife got here favorite appetizer SAGANAKI which she was very happy with. I tried something new CHILEAN MUSCLES and was pleasantly surprised on how much I enjoyed them. So much so that i didnt even share. Our lunch order was a Gyro with Greek salad (which never showed up) and 2 coneys. The salad wasn't really missed because the wife already had her appetizer. She said her Gyro was good but not the best or worth bragging about. I'd have to say the same about the Coneys. I'll still go back as it's as good as it's going to get this far north. read more

Solid Greek food; if you're homesick for diner food from out east, this is where to go. Been here over 5 or 6 times over the last year; it's my go to for a Lunch meeting because it has big tables and I can order a keto friendly gyro salad without making a big fuss about dietary restrictions. I've had friends rave about their hot dogs, fries, and dumplings. (Sadly I have not sampled these myself, but no one is unhappy when I suggest going here for a working lunch!) Wide selection of local brews on tap if you drink, and non alcoholic beverages range from the traditional soda, ice tea variety to peach flavored kombucha. I forget the name of the other server I've had, but all are great. Shout out to Selena K who is always a delight. The BEST curbside experience I have had! The order taker was clear and courteous on the phone, with no background noise. Repeated my order back to me and took payment over the phone. The food was mediocre at best and overpriced for Dutch a little portion. The service was alright but our waiter never asked for drinks and generally didn't answer our questions but at-least we got the right food. And the ambience was weird there was no one there but us two other parties of people and around 4 workers we should of known by nobody being there about what we were in for. I ordered a Gyro sandwich for take out as that's all you can do right now with Covid. I was shopping and wanted to just grab a quick bite to eat in my car you can't eat in the restaurant these days. Extremely disappointed with the supposed sandwich, which it was not. It was a flat open face mess that you absolutely could not eat sitting in a car so I could continue shopping. I have NEVER ordered a Gyro sandwich at another Middle Eastern restaurant and been served a sandwich this way. They also added feta cheese which I have never had on a gyro and sadly I do not like feta whatsoever. My fault I guess for not looking at a menu and just assuming it would be like most gyros I've had in the past. I will not be back there to order this type of sandwich again! read more
