What a great place to hang out if you want great pizza or need to kill time due to flight delay. The pizza is delicious, their salads are big, and the mozzarella sticks were good too. Their pours were generous as well. If all of this doesn't convince you, then there is the epic staff! Barbara became my friend by the time I'd left. Personable, sincere, efficient and kind enough to suggest I ask for a voucher for my flight delay which made my lunch almost free! The woodsy decor and high-top view of the airport doesn't hurt either.

Disrespectful, rude. Made us feel like a bother. Our 69yr old family member was appalled. We won't be back due to him.

Had dinner there . Really enjoyed walking around looking at the building and attention to detail. The food was very good. However the service was very lacking . Our waiter, (never got a name) was very crass. Didn't acknowledge our family coming in. As we have never been there, it was not busy one table at the time. We were not sure if we were to seat ourselves. It seemed we were an inconvenience to him. He was rude at our table. We thanked him upon bringing things, he didn't respond, acted as if we didn't say anything. Again seeming like we were a bother and really putting him out. Did not ask if we wanted refills, took sons food without a word , not knowing if he was finished . Ignored my partner completely when he spoke to him. Extremely off putting . Not welcoming whatsoever. If management had been around and came and did an entree check, they would have been told this, and more. Having someone represent your establishment that requires people skills. Even if he had to fake a smile. This older gentleman perhaps should be behind the scenes and not with the public. The cooks did a nice job however with our meals , give credit where it is due. Not sure we would go back, where you do not feel welcomed.

A friendly bar that serves food too. I saw people ordering pizza and burgers. I don't know what else they have on the menu. Hoppie's Landing is in the terminal for Pellston airport. What I loved about the place was the rustic decor... with a lot of taxidermy pieces including a huge aquarium of taxidermy fish. Prices are reasonable and we enjoyed the hour or so we spent here.

Great place for a quick bite for the area. I recommend the pizza. It's located on the second floor at the Pellston Airport.

We had some extra time when we were flying out of the Pellston Airport, so we opted to get lunch here.

The atmosphere was so cute and decorated with beautiful art. We tried their famous poppie, which is basically a giant homemade pop tart. They rotate daily flavors and our flavor of the day was cherry. We also split the brie mine toast, which was good. Definitely stop by this spot if you're ever on the island!

My smoothie standards are sky-high, and the smoothie that I had a Watercolor Cafe was amazing. It was so good that I made everyone at the table taste it, and we agreed: superb smoothie. The Blueberry Bliss has blueberries, banana, white chocolate and oak milk in it. I wish there were a little more nutritious (maybe throw in some flax, hemp seed and/or chia), but maybe that's why it's so delicious. Another delicious thing: the Peanut Butter Deluxe Toast, which is creamy peanut butter and sliced bananas with a drizzle of honey on wheat bread. Super tasty and filling! I got the avocado toast, and it wasn't my favorite. The avocado tasted more like packaged guacamole, and I got it with an egg, which is literally a hard-boiled egg that sits on top. Also, the toast was more like just a soft piece of bread. I mean, I guess technically, all of the components are there, but the execution needed some work. The breakfast burrito was super tasty (it came with chorizo), and one of my kids got the kids' mac and cheese, which came with a cookie. When these guys say that breakfast is served until 11 a.m., they really mean it! We visited around 10:50, wanting to order off of the lunch menu, but they didn't let us. I think the only lunchy offerings during breakfast time is the kids' menu. The seating inside is very cute: There's a craft station with paper, coloring books, and all kinds of colored pencils and things to create something at your table. Outside, you can sit on the patio and enjoy the view of the lake. Dogs are welcome on the patio and given water and a treat!

They have a variety of sandwiches from healthy to not so healthy but all are delicious and fresh. Their shop has some outside seating but they no longer have inside seating. You can call or go online to place an order, or head to the shop as well. Their menu is extensive and inside the shop they have a selection of assorted sides like chips, crackers, olives, drinks etc. it is fun to peruse and pick up some local kettle chips or a snack to accompany the sandwich deliciousness. On a non-busy day it usually take 10-15 minutes to complete and order, but on a weekend give it 45 minutes so as to provide enough time for your meal to be perfect. The sandwiches are fresh and hand made per order so you get all the goodness of right now packed with flavor. My husbands favorite has chicken, cheese, avocado, mayo, red onions and an assortment of yummy spices that keep him coming back again and again. He honestly tried to make this at home a few times but it never matched and so he decided instead to book an annual trip to Lake Street Market instead! I've tried their Miss Fit Attends Services which is a vegetarian option that is very hardy and full of taste. I also like their salads and assortment of chips! All in all it is a must visit if you are in the area, or worthy of a day trip if not!

An older lady (who…read moreseemed like the owner or manager given the way she was barking orders to the staff and treating customers) said it in a snarky nasty tone. We said ok no problem. She had to add that it was sometimes a 1-1.5 hour wait so we should be happy. Some people (apparently locals) walked in and got their sandwiches right away. After 45 minutes, we asked and it turned out they stuck our order in a bucket at the back of the line and had not even started it. They claimed they would put the order at the front of the line and it would take 15 more minutes, even though they were new customers walking in and it was less than a 15 minute wait. We asked if they could make them faster. The young man apologized nicely but the older lady owner/manager stepped in and said rudely that's all they could do. She did not apologize let alone offer us a discount for their mistake. We understand they were busy and people make mistakes but there is no excuse for treating customers so rudely after their clear error. We planned on spending over $100 but apparently our money was not good enough for them. This was 4th of July week so I was wearing a USA t shirt and we are convinced this is why they "lost" our order and treated us so poorly. Avoid this place at all costs especially if you love America!

But it turns out that you…read moreshouldn't judge a restaurant by its name, because Chuckwagon served us what was probably the best meal we had on Mackinac Island. And it was the cheapest, too! Blessed from all directions. A patty melt was on the menu, so that's what I got. I can't not get a patty melt if I see one on a menu! This one was beefy and melty, with caramelized red onions between two slices of rye bread. All of the burgers and sandwiches come with plain potato chips and a pickle spear. We also got a regular cheeseburger and bleu cheese burger. All of the burgers are served on a pretzel bun, which is not my favorite type of bun, but I wasn't eating those burgers, and the eaters didn't seem to mind. Chuckwagon has a small kids' menu (the Lil' Buckaroo's Menu), with four items on it. Your kids can choose from a pb & j sandwich, a hot dog, a grilled cheese sandwich and mac & cheese. My little buckaroo chose the mac & cheese, which I believe was Kraft mac & cheese. Kids' menu items don't come with anything additional. This is a small restaurant with limited seating. You can sit at the counter and watch the action happen, or if you're lucky, you can find one of the few tables lining the wall or located in the back of the restaurant. Either way, depending on when you visit, you might encounter a crowd! But I think it's worth it to visit this old-school diner-type restaurant.
