Coming to Mind Escape was on a complete whim, but I could not be happier that we stumbled across this escape room. There were four of us and we did the Thai Prison room. Thai Prison was one of the best rooms we have ever done. It was well thought out, challenging and different from all of the "pad lock only" escape rooms. We had such a good time. We also appreciated our Game Master, Aaron. He was very informative, helpful and supportive. We enjoyed how passionate he was about their rooms and almost got us to do two rooms in one day. Had my boyfriend and I not been on a time crunch to come back home, we definitely would have done the other room. I highly recommend this place. Had a great time with our group of friends solving the Jack the Ripper room. It was challenging without being impossible. Great, tense atmosphere, good narrative, and a need for teamwork. Our game master Dill was friendly, helpful, accommodating. I have been to many escape rooms and this is one of the best! One suggestion I'd like is to maybe give groups a sign that says if we escaped or not in pictures with the time taken to solve! Because it would be fun to know the success rate of rooms. Had an excellent time with my sisters. Went as a last minute fun activity to do and ended up loving it. The Jack the Ripper room was really fun and challenging. We didn't end up escaping in time but that didn't lessen our fun. Nat was an amazing game master! She kept us laughing the whole way through. Would highly recommend her as a game master! read more

We booked MindEscape for an after work social event. Vee was awesome to work with and set up catering from Milk Boy. We also brought our own goodies. The rooms were super fun and everyone had a really good time. Since a lot of us had never done an escape room before we didn't know what to expect. The rooms definitely exceeded our expectations and we are looking forward to going back and completing the other room. Our team completed the Jack the Ripper room and it was challenging but we were able to solve the challenge! Highly, highly recommend. The space was perfect for a work event as well! read more

I absolutely love this place. Today was my first time ever being in a escape room. I went here with my boyfriend & two other people & it was so fun...we almost made it out. This was my first time doing an escape room and I'm definitely excited to try out more! My team and I were able to complete our escape in 52 mins. The person that led the escape played her role extremely well. I love that if you are truly stumped you can yell out for a clue and the clue they give is actually helpful but doesn't completely give everything away. The location is also amazing. Our game master last night was really nice and informative. However, he was overwhelmed being the only person working that day. It messed with a lot of the groups coming in and especially us. I don't want to reveal too much, but a coworker and I were left alone in a vulnerable position without the game master and another group was messing with us. It threw us off but I wouldn't say I felt 100% unsafe. I am positive this only happened because they were so short staffed. In the game room, some of the pieces were off - such as, a lock we werent suppose to have access to was unlocked, causing us to get into a room that we weren't suppose to be in. We found pieces in the room that wasn't meant to be there, things that weren't put away from the last game. It messed with us because after a while, we didn't know what was a clue and what was a mistake. All in all, jack the ripper was really fun and difficult! There are some things you definitely need clues on from your game master... it's not overly scary and we did this with a 5 year old. The game master was great and we only wished he had more support so he could provide us with more support. I would suggest next time, please do a run through to update the rooms! read more

This was my first time, trying out an escape room, and it was an incredibly fun experience. Five of us tried Mindescape's Jack the Ripper adventure. The setting was eerie and immersive, though never frightening. The clues and puzzles were clever, imaginative, and tough. No single one of us could have solved it on our own but we worked through things together. The gamemaster (Cameron) was always on top of things. The creme de la creme of all escape the rooms. Hands down, the best service and the most receptive/friendly staff members. Thai prison was well thought out and required your team to be truly interactive and work together to escape. A special thank you to the MindEscape crew for allowing me to use their facility to propose to my now fiance. We were able to incorporate the proposal as part of the final puzzle. The team was very accommodating from the start and made this a special day for us. Although we were not able to escape Thai Prison, we are looking forward to their next Jack the Ripper Escape. There are some great room escapes in Philly and there are some that shouldn't be open. This is one of the good ones! We've done over 25 rooms in 5 different states and we had a blast escaping the Thai prison! There were 6 of us total in the room (we didn't know the other 4 people) and we escaped in 42 minutes. Our game master made it fun and we can't wait to go back and tackle their 'Jack The Ripper' room when it opens! read more

Came here for my cousin's birthday and had a BLAST! We were a group of 10 (the more the better for these, in my opinion) and we were able to escape with six minutes to spare. Excellent all round experience. My friends took me here a bit against my will. To be honest, I thought it was going to be lame because I was expecting to be locked in one room with a lot of annoying, overly complex word or number puzzles. But here, the game actually spans multiple rooms and most puzzles are "activity based" rather than word or number based. I had a ton of fun and would highly recommend it for friends, company team builders, or families. Great, friendly staff and a convenient location: it's easy to find good restaurants or bars nearby for more things to do when/if you manage to get out. read more

Mind Escape is one of the best escape rooms I've completed. I've done a few in Philly plus some in Florida and California. The Thailand room they have was a ton of fun and really clever. We had a team of six and it took all of us to figure everything out. The host got into character and the theming was on-point. Highly recommend this place! I did the Jack the Ripper themed room with a friend and one other couple and we had such a good time! Jon was an awesome game master and did a good job making us all feel comfortable and setting the scene for the room. Without giving anything away, there was a wide variety of puzzles that were challenging but not impossible. We def utilized the clues and redirection but we made it with 3 minutes to spare. We visited Philadelphia on vacation and while walking around we noticed MindEscape. We thought it sounded fun, so we went online and booked our "escape" which was a reasonable price; $30 per person. The rooms were challenging, yet well thought out and fun to do with a group. We had a great time, so much so we decided to do it again the next night! This place is amazing! Me and my family wanted to try something new and we came across Mind escape. The staff was Very friendly. Dill was our game master and he was so awesome. His acting was superb and made us so excited to start our quest. During the game he kept us motivated and on track with solving the puzzles. The Wonderland escape room was not your traditional escape room and takes a lot of deductive reasoning skills. This place is officially my favorite! I can't wait to come back! read more

We did the escape from Thai prison challenge and it was amazing! The challenge was a good difficulty level and we were able to get through in 40 minutes with 2 hints! Dillon was our game master and he was amazing. He made it really fun and went above and beyond what we expected. Also he's not bad to look at. The place is easy to find and very clean. However, other than that, this was not one of the best rooms in the city. Having 12 people in a room is a bit much. We came 15 minutes early as requested by the company, yet we sat and waited for the rest of the group for 15 minutes after our scheduled start time. We had another room booked after this one, and it really cut into our time. The game master just kept saying, "we are still waiting, we are still waiting." The room was DIY in comparison to other rooms we have done. Very basic set up and puzzles. read more

We had such a fun time. This was our first time and it was so exciting. We were a group of four so we were put in the room with two other couples who we had never met and it was just amazing how we all came together to solve the mind games to escape. I've done a few of these escape rooms and this one was absolutely the most fun and excitement. It's a jail cell so imagine the adrenaline pumping. We were looking for some a Christmas Eve fun and this took the cake. There was so much creativity in the room from a clues perspective. And just when you think you are done.....there's more to go. When we got stuck the host gave us clues to help us. She as incredibly helpful. Parking was a sinch actually right in 4th street at the corner of South. After the room we walked on South Street for a while. It's really located in a great spot. read more
