Went there last Saturday and it was fully packed. The atmosphere itself is something to experience--I've never been to a diner that almost ran out of parking spot. Everything was good, from food to service!

We haven't been to Minella's Diner in ages but we were in the area and decided on a late lunch early dinner. The place didn't disappoint. As old as it is in beautiful condition and the architecture is authentic and classy for an ageless diner. So on to the food, everything was excellent. The menu is endless and the food was delicious, well prepared and fresh. I had the breakfast burger delux and my wife had the open face turkey sandwich. Both were excellent. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. Excellent experience

The food is actually awful. I grew up here, I know it's a really classic spot, but the food is just awful. No complaints about the service, just the WORST food. If you are under the age of 75, go elsewhere. I got a Reuben, and it was the worst reuben I've ever eaten, no exaggeration, in my life. It wasn't even on rye, even though the menu said it would be. The meat was rubbery and lukewarm. My husband is REALLY easy to please, and even he said his burger was "really bad" and he "powered through" to get it down. My cousin got the Greek salad with chicken, and it looked decent enough. Nowhere near worth the price, but probably the best of our orders. But definitely not worth the price.

My family and I have been coming here for many many years. The quality came down right after the pandemic, and now I feel the quality went back up again (thankfully). The service here always has been stellar with super friendly servers. The quantity of food they give you is always plenty. I can easily just eat half, and other half home, but I always end up eating everything The place looks full most of the time, but the space is pretty large so they always have tables for us. Just a side note: during Villanova University's school year (especially weekends) this place is very busy.

Can't sit down until your entire party is there. Big menu with plenty of options. Very busy on weekends so be mindful of potential wait times but food comes out pretty quick. Pay at the front so it's convenient if you're in a rush during busy hours.

2 eggs over easy. Country potatoes. White toast.

Good comfort food cooked perfectly. Usually I ask for my corned beef hash BURNT, well done and crispy. I forgot, I was sleepy from taking the red eye from LAX. It was cooked perfectly! Eggs were eggactly how I love them. Potatoes were a little crispy and soft on the inside. I wanted sourdough but my only choices were white, wheat and rye. The toast was Texas toast little sister. Had a thickness to it but very light and fluffy. The server was very hospitable. Although I saw 3 people standing at the counter and I desperately wanted more water. It took a couple of minutes. Place was clean and well kept. Bathroom was very clean.

Hosts weren't very friendly but our waitress was. Chicken noodle soup of the day was good and so was my tortellini Alfredo (which the waitress was ok with adding green peas to). Yummy rice pudding. Would definitely go back.

Delicious food with great variety. Been a customer for years without a problem. You can't go wrong with Minella's for a good 24-hour diner.

Hot Turkey sandwich is decent. I like to ordered takeout. Soups are decent too, I like them as well.

I'm sorry I missed her name, but she definitely made our experience even better! The place is mostly cat-themed, which makes it extra cute, and it's such a nice touch that they have cats there. We tried the special French toast with mango butter (very sweet, but absolutely delicious!), blueberry pancakes, chicken quesadilla, and turkey panini. Everything we ordered was tasty! It can feel a little pricey, but knowing that the profits from the meals go directly toward supporting animals makes it totally worth it. Such a wonderful initiative, and overall, a great place with great food and a great cause!

Today we ordered an item so new that it's not yet on the printed menu: Waffle Sticks. What in the free world are they? Well, picture a waffle shaped like a corn dog, except it's a waffle. I have to say this is like having fun carnival food without the hassle, heat, lines and crazy pricing. I got mine "plain" (you can get chocolate chips inside them) with sides of maple syrup and Nutella for dipping. Yeah? It's Heaven. Lovely little cafe, great service, and the money you spend goes to a nonprofit animal rescue. What's not to love?

And the ambiance is really nice -- fancy farm to table with plush seating and pillows. If you're going to get an appetizer, I would highly recommend getting the snack board to share (unfortunately this was eaten before I got to take photos). It includes delicious biscuits paired with the most perfect sausage gravy, thick cut bacon, fruit, croissant, warm donut holes, deviled eggs, and dips/jams. THEY ARE INCREDIBLE. The gravy is jaw-dropping and perfect with the texture of the biscuit -- trust me, you have to try it!!! The donut holes are fluffy and soft fritters. I also really loved the deviled eggs' flavor. For my entree, I got the breakfast pot pie (in the photo) which had the same incredible gravy and biscuit crust as the appetizer, topped with a crispy fried egg. My sister had the Challah French Toast (peach compote) which was also incredible -- perfect without being too sweet. Both were huge portions. Service was also excellent -- our waitress very kindly brought out our toddler nieces' kids' meals first along with our appetizers. She even brought out a little sorbet on the house for my sister's birthday (which also was very very good!)

There was…read morea lot of snark and attitude detected, and we were a big party, which means she's automaticaly raking in 20% on a substantial bill. And we all got alcoholic drinks, and many with desserts. The Smoked Old Fahioned was very not good. It smelled nice, but tasted like cherry cough syrup. It was like smoked cherry cordial with a splash of well-shelf bourbon. It's probably not literally well-shelf... just an emphasis on how unpalatable this was and therefore expensive for what it is. I didnt pay $15+ for some cherry cordial. Waitress vocalized distaste when we wanted to spit checks - which we told her before placing orders. Then she gave sh** about seating arrangements; since we wanted to split checks she ordered us to sit by how checks are being split. That's a new one... She said she would have to write separate checks... an obvuous approach... I endorse that plan smh. Wouldn't that be easier when it comes to "splitting checks" when all is said and done? To treat us as separate tables but still tack on 20% per check? As we are wrapping up dinner and everyone else was looking over dessert, I told her she could bring mine now since I have a 45 min drive back to CC and I have perishables. People are now eating their dessert and she's still fussing aroundat her kiosk. I eventually approach her and asked for mine again. She got super frustrated and unprofessional, and said us wanting to split bills is (exact words) "tumultuous." Does she even know what that word means? "I thought you wrote separate checks?" But she's trying to figure out how to split like $8 rolls among like 12 people. She was like, "Then who is paying for the rolls?" That is her job to find out. I am a guest, not the host of the party. I only know three other people there. She walks to the table and says (again..exact words), "Who's paying for the rolls?" As if we are planning on dining and dashing with basic dinner rolls. Why? Because we are a table of minorities? Had we been a table of all white, would she have asked HOW we would like to have it split? I was in the dine-in food service industry for several years. I had thought splitting checks was a very common practice, and I absolutely did NOT ask patrons to sit in specific order. White Dog in UC didn't do that either (or anywhere else). Perhaps White Castle is more within her playing field. Some courses in sensitivity training may aid in her professional development. And they wanted to charge like $4 per person since someone baked cupcakes.... reminder that most people also ordered dessert on top of all this. They can go pound the sand.
