I had to pull over in Ladysmith and a friendly local man directed me to winding brook and said they were the best in town. I had my car towed there and was greeted by Dan at the front desk. He was knowledgeable and friendly. What I thought was going to be a long drawn out expensive process was resolved in under 24 hours with an amazing price. Turns out it was overcharging, and we ended up needing to get our alternator and battery replaced. No other nearby shop was able to fit us in last minute, but these guys luckily were able to! And they have a beautiful waiting room with TV and bathroom, and the cutest pup. Another plus was that there is a yummy restaurant nearby where we had some lunch. Thanks again for saving our day! Visited this car wash on a Saturday afternoon. About four young adults were running the place. They didn't have the proper cleaning supplies the staff needed to actually deliver a full service. You could tell everyone was rushing because it was getting busy, and the workers looked pretty inexperienced. One of them was openly complaining. I didn't see a manager anywhere--if there was one, they weren't managing. Customers were also struggling with the kiosk and figuring out how to line their cars up on the ramp and place the tires correctly. The employee working the entrance couldn't communicate clearly or get cars into the right position and had to pull another worker over to help. It's a Saturday, so of course it's packed--that's when everyone wants their car washed. This place just wasn't managed properly and didn't have the supplies needed for the full service they advertise. If you don't equip your employees, you shouldn't be offering it. Two out of five stars.

Fuel…read moreprices are reasonable, the store is always clean, the restrooms are almost always in good shape and it's a plus to have a Denny's right next door (although I'm not a huge fan of Denny's), just someplace to sit down and have a meal after several hours on the road. With the store having a vast parking lot area, I really don't like the parking right in front of the store because of all the traffic from the fuel pumps using that area to get in and out of line, but it is what it is. It would be cool to see them add some options at pumps for non-ethanol fuel.

I was skeptical about food from a gas station, but Legacy Market does not disappoint! Everything is…read moremade fresh with quality ingredients. The sandwiches and sides are absolutely delicious. I haven't been able to try the chicken or catfish, but they looked delicious as well! My favorites are the Mulberry, Washington, and Louisa. The menu I've attached is an older one, and the newer menu does not include the Louisa, sadly. But they will still make it for you, and it really should be added back! It was damn good, especially with the added tomato slices I requested!
