As we waited in the lobby the hotel provided animal ballon maker for the kids. This was the first insight of the clientele here. An adult on line pushed my child off the line so she can get in front of her and told her to go to the back of the line. Hello red flag!!! Farm Animals in the house. I avoided confrontation and moved on. Unfortunately in the winter months it seems the ballon maker was one of five things available to do. The other four; basketball, swimming pool, free movie, 30 second pony ride. At an additional charge they have laser tag and archery. The first day here the kids did all five things. Room was clean but I found a little dead bug on the bed, maybe a spider. Only one dinning experience at theh mineral with no specials. If you want a change of pace you have to head out on your own. They do provide a shuttle to nearby resort but they stop Running at 10pm. Alcoholic drinks range from 10$ to 16$. I had a drink at the pool bar and the Austin the bartender measured the shot ... At these prices who does that ... BYOB. They don't have much to eat from so I ordered pizza from a local pizzeria. They will give you a hard time to eat it by the pool. Sneak it in. I'm doing a separate review for the dining experience--- on a whole the food is good. The pool is heavily chlorinated to the point that it stings the eyes and you can almost taste it. The outside pool had an empty can of beer and water bottle floating in it, no one bothered to come by and pick it up. When I returned from the pool, house keeping left the door to the room wide open. This is for the wedding venue aspect of this hotel. This review has taken me 5+ years to write, quite frankly because I am traumatized. I dealt with Nicole, the "day of coordinator" who was a glorified sales person. In fact, the DAY OF my wedding she was giving tours and didn't help me. Other than that, when I arrived at the venue they acted like they didn't know who I was. No one acknowledged my presence, no one helped me set up the decorations. I was able to book a room at Minerals for a short ski trip I attended this weekend at Mountain Creek. The weather was incredibly warm, so we spent less time on the slopes than I would have liked so I was glad that there was so much to do at the hotel. I believe that rooms can cost around $400 for a basic room and it may be due to the large number of amenities on the property. Our room was on the smaller end and booked through a discount site, but it was very clean with more than enough room for two couples and a decently sized bathroom. I had no complaints with my room or the noise level through the wall from neighbors. If you can get a room on the lobby level or pool level that would be best, the two subfloors can be a pain to get to by elevator. We checked in a Saturday around 4pm. Check wasn't incredibly difficult and they were very helpful with our annoying questions and were patient. Upon checking in, the first thing we did was go straight to the pool. It was January and weather in the high 50s, so people were in the inside pool and just as many in the outdoor pool as well. We loved the grotto, the jacuzzies, sauna and steam rooms surrounding the indoor pool. The amount of people walking inside and out did make for a dirty pool deck but it was clean enough I guess. Never made it to the outside pool, though there is access through the indoor pool which goes straight in to the water before go outside. The men's locker room was fairly clean, and there was an attendant always cleaning something in there every time I was in the room. Getting towels was a big challenging through the vending machine like towel machine, but I was able to get a wrist band and get some towels from the front desk. Lost a credit card in my swim trunks and I was able to retrieve it from the gym desk area without major issue the next day. There are lot of amenities here including indoor tennis court which looks like clay but seems to be carpet. A huge basketball court. We had dinner at the restaurant on the 2nd floor and the food was good. On Saturday night they had a DJ and we had fun dancing after a long day driving from NYC, slopes, swimming and dinner. Music was a mix of Hip Hop, Latin, Pop, and 80s music. We did goat yoga on Sunday. My loved it, I could have probably just watched her from the observation deck and spared myself but I attended and enjoyed. I felt like the goats seemed happy and were treated in a human way. I was annoyed that we asked for extended check out and they wanted $50 extra to extend to 1pm. We declined that and it did cut it close with the yoga class. So think ahead of time. This is a great property and provides more than I expected. My gf and friends were happy and I am sure we will be back again at some point. Especially if I have kids one day. The vending machines were a joke. They only took cash and the credit card option was disabled. And then the machines didn't take the cash either. WTH? Wish I could give this review zero stars. Where do I begin... First, the room doesn't come with a fridge so we requested one and they had the audacity to charge $25 pet night to bring up a fridge for us. In this day and age what hotel does not come with a complimentary fridge?!?!! Absolutely absurd. Secondly, we reserved tee time the next day at 8:27am and the front desk advised that there will be a shuttle running at 8am. Come next morning, we find out there was an issue with the shuttle at 8am...surprisingly, they were aware of this since 7am and they didn't have the nerve to inform us in advance and we could've avoided of having to rush. Thirdly, if you choose to pick a restaurant I highly recommend you avoid Kite. We ordered two rib-eye streaks, both medium, and one came out rare and one came out more than well done and overly dry. We also ordered the Foccacia and it was stone cold! Lastly, the many stains on the bedsheets and towels and the amount of dust accumulated in the bathroom rates this hotel to be by far the worst when it comes to cleanliness. The carpet was moist, the room wreaked of chlorine, the beds were hard as rocks and the bathroom was downright filthy. I'm honestly surprised I did not see cockroaches. I don't know where to begin. Coming here for the weekend with my family, we were all looking forward to an enjoyable weekend. Unfortunately, that's not what we got. Let me start with the pool area, 1. The outdoor heated pool was "out of service" and when we questioned the staff we got 2 different answers from two different staff members. 2. The indoor pool was cold. 3. The towels are small like hand towels and barley any chairs to sit on. The staff of the hotel needs training for customer service, and to learn how to talk to kids. And I usually don't write any names but This staff member named Norman is very disrespectful and rude to kids. And the "manager" of the pool Chris, very rude to us. When we asked them what activities we can do with the kids (because the pool was cold) they said there's many things to do but don't forget the ARCADE is not open do to making a ball room but they are relocating (at least put a temporary arcade) so that's out of the picture. They told us we can play basketball (Free, if that court is empty), racquetball and tennis. The only thing is tennis and Racquetball is not included and is an additional fee. When we opened the pull out couch bed. It was not comfortable, we called the front desk the first time to ask if they have another mattress or something to add on so we don't feel the Springs underneath the bed. We had to call 4 times for someone to come upstairs and assist us. They sent the housekeeping lady with thin sheets and no-one from the front desk ever got back to us. Horrible night. Not to mention the safe didn't work, the screen door to the balcony get stuck to open so you have to fight with it to get it open, and on or balcony there was a used cup with dirty cigarettes. If we knew that the arcade and outside pool would be closed we wouldn't of booked. We came with a big family and children looking forward to it. Save your money!!! $400 a night is a rip off for what you get. This is not what I'd call a resort. The negative reviews are true and the positive ones must be lies. Cons -Most things are falling apart -Paint is horrible and it looks like a kid cut in the trim in the hallways -Hot tubs aren't hot they're warm and there is so much chlorine it burns your eyes... I had to use the water fountain as an eye wash. The most disgusting "hotel" in America. Think Orchard Beach in the Bronx or Coney Island in Brooklyn. This is the "refind" atmosphere you will find in this Jersey low class horror. Did I mention I saw a group of young women eating a box of fried chicken wings in the pool then tossing the bones in the water? Worth 60 bucks a night no where near what they actually charge for what you get in return. Even from the beginning I get an email that says I'm at 50 percent off for a summer deal so I call and I swear it was like i was lying until I asked to speak to mgmt and suggested I send an email of what they sent me (how sad) until I get a "ohhhh your talking about that deal" I responded with what other 50 percent deals do you have ? Not balcony ? No nothing .. so they say "yeah we will get you a fridge but it's 25 dollars extra a day" how nuts is that ? I'm paying 160 n you want an additional 25 for a dorm room fridge. I say to myself the rooms sucks but amenities will definitely make up for it .. what a joke .. so everything complimentary is almost funny .. IE - "petting zoo" umm 3 rabbits and alike 2 baby goats .. IE. "nature walk" I swear you can walk to your backyard and back it's more fun filled literally nothing but a short boring park walk. Roaring marshmallows "here is a stick with a few marshmallows and wait your turn" it's crazy. Pool itself, tile was dirty and unkempt. We bought a package that included outdoor pool but outdoor pool was not open. Should have not been able to buy that package. Or should have been called and notified and refunded. Dining was subpar. Made reservation for 5pm got there hostess was nice and seated us. After 10 minutes no one came to get drinks or offer water etc. hostess informed us management was having a meeting with all staff. Absolutely unacceptable, if you are a manger it is s your job to make sure that servers are available when you open and or have patrons. We did not see a server until 5:30, if it wasn't the only restaurant we would have left. What a joke. Overall this place is low level compared to Grand Cascades. Would not recommend. The Minerals was dirty and not kept up. The indoor pool being under construction forced us to walk over scaffolding to get to our room - a hot steamy walk on scaffolding over the empty indoor pool. We were aware of the indoor pool being closed but didn't care because we're interested in the outdoor pool only. The outdoor pool and area was dirty, staff didn't clean up and arrange chairs until 10am. With kids it's kind of important to have a bathroom close to the pool area- the closest we're a bit of a hike - I'm sure kids were peeing in the pool instead of making the hike the bathrooms Because it was too far away. Reported a drain outside our room had no cover over it and if someone falls they are going to break a leg, the handyman left a note saying he couldn't find it. Re-reported it to the desk and the girl giggled and said " he's new" still wasn't fixed when we left. Room safe was by credit card only - I've never had to pay for a safe before. Stain on sheets food at Kites was decent but expensive Moonshiners was decent for Lunch. Paid extra for circus Ninja warriors which was very good - the instructor Ron was excellent - the path to the pay for activities needs improvement - it a worm out path and with Old picnic tables one of which must have gone on fire because there was a burn hole in the center - no escaping the sun for parents waiting for their kids. Also, the gym mats used for the Circus ninjas class had a big hole in it. Management should come sit at the pool one day and hear all the complaints from your customers. Everyone was complaining - everyone. We tried to make the best of it because we had 2 nine year old boys with us , but I feel ripped off. I am staying here for the theee day weekend , and it has surpassed my expectations . I am in the hospitality business for over 30 years and have stayed and eating at many places and have a lot experience . The attention to detail is John I have not seen on part of this place unattended or not cared. Parking lot os clean no pot holes , landscaping perfect noting brown noting dead, doors clean floors clean no dings or scraps on Elsa , carpets clean no tears no stations all planets in hotels alive all windows clean every room door closed and cleanly painted rooms also clean hallways smell clean every aspect is cared for noting seems neglected .. food at kites great also service .. also the people visiting here seem like upstanding people no ghetto people no load or rude people.. pools clean and bathrooms everywhere in this place is perfect reminds me of pre Covid days where people did thing correct and professional ... read more

For $300 a night, I had expectations that I wanted the hotel to meet... unfortunately, they have not met it. Pool -Area surrounding the pool was dirty. -Steam room is in terrible shape and sanitary spray was never refilled. -Ping pong table is broken. Room -Hair in the shower and sink. -Sticky counter tops. -Pillow sucks (unless you like flat pillows). Staff -Lifeguards are always chatting. Granted, there aren't too many people swimming but the outdoor pool had no staff and should be kept on a lookout. -Front desk clerks are all nice (but one man) and friendly; however, they are always in the office and would not notice the line waiting for their assistance. -Upon check in, the front desk clerk did not provide my group pool bracelets, leading to unnecessary interrogation from another front desk. Lastly, I booked 3 weekdays because of their free ski pass (2). Not only were we not informed that the mountain was closed until the weekend, we were told to call Mountain Creek for reimbursement/extension of the passes. Upon calling Mountain Creek, they claim no liability and advise us to seek reimbursement from the hotel. There are hotels and motels around the area... probably from $70 and up. First of all, I want to make it clear that we did not stay at the hotel. We went to see Annie Mash play accompanied with her guitarist. We went to where they were told to set up by a woman with a clipboard. We found a table and went to the bar to order overpriced weak sangria. We had to order food from a different location. Tried to place our orders and were told they had run out of propane. How does that happen on a holiday weekend? While we were eating, the band played one song and were told they were in the wrong location. They had to use a golf cart to move them from the bar and pool area. There were a lot of people enjoying them. The food was barely edible and very over priced. My husband's cheesesteak was served on hot dog buns with cheez whiz?? Since there was no propane, the other 3 in our group had to order chicken wraps. UGH! Also, the tables were filthy. One of the staff was kind enough to clean ours. We finished our food and went in search of the band. They were at the bar-b-que. You had to prepay for that which we didn't know. We gave up at that point. All I can say is, I am so glad that the rest of our group was not with us this time. We normally have about 12 people with us. People with clipboards and other staff had no clue. Total chaos. The front desk said it was the band's fault that they set up in the wrong location, but we were standing there when they were told by the woman with a clipboard that they were okay there. She was obviously one of the staff with no clue. By the way, our meals with one beverage(2 sangrias, 1 coke and 1 seltzer) each cost $125 for four people. Unfortunately my mother passed and we had to reschedule from January to March( with of course 3 days notice). We check in and get to our room where our chocolate covered strawberries where supposed to great us to NOTHINg. We had to call the front desk twice to get them. Sunday comes and we get to the spa tor our couple massages to find out that they moved the reservation from January but forgot to "uncancel" it. And that they are fully booked and cannot accommodate us at all. We are told the best they can offer us is separate massages tomorrow and a later check out. I was not the only unhappy guest. Met many by the pool that have shared stories and experiences. Some have been coming for years and have expressed how down hill the place has gone. I went here with my three children and husband and loved it ! The front desk staff answered my questions quickly. My kids were extremely excited for the pool. The staff saw this and pointed us in the right direction and supplied us with towels and wrist bands quickly . The locker rooms were clean and very spacious . The pools were so much fun. There was a man made cliff for my older son to jump off and an amazing warm pool outside that connected to inside. At night my kids were totally pooped and my husband and I got to relax and enjoy the clean and comfortable room . I will definitely come back ! Great family fun read more

Stayed here for a wedding nearby- it was booked by the bride and groom. Our room was clean but the beds were rock hard and there was no fridge despite the website saying there were kitchen facilities. The linens are low quality and the radiator made so much noise that we had to leave it off the whole time. Other relatives staying there reported dirty rooms. Not sure why this place doesn't have good reviews, I love this place! We go at least once a year during the winter and enjoy the indoor pools and spa services. A few years ago, the rooms were outdated BUT this year the hotel did renovate most rooms. There's something for everyone at this resort, a spa, gym, basketball, pool, restaurant, etc. I'm not crazy about Kites restaurant or room service, but there is a bar so we manage. read more

The hotel itself is a little run down especially for such a high rate, but I really enjoyed the fireplace in the room (in the junior suite). Lots of amenities, including an indoor and outdoor pool and a basketball court, and the Christmas Corner was really enjoyable at night. I didn't realize there would be so many children and child activities at the hotel, so keep that in mind if you're coming for a couples retreat! I am not quite sure where start with this review. So I will begin with the cons: 1.we arrive at check in to the luxury king suite. We specifically requested a crib for my nine-month-old daughter. We got to the room changed and headed out to the pool came back around 6 PM and still no crib. I attempted to call the front desk and it just rang and rang with no answer. I then attempted to call the restaurant on site to make a reservation for dinner again no answer. I gathered my daughters and we walked down to the lobby to inquire about the crib and the restaurant. At that point they radioed in and someone brought her crib up to the room. While it wasn't the worst thing it was really inconvenient as my daughter was unable to take a nap while we were in the room and we paid an extra $10 to have the crib to begin with. 2. We arrived at the restaurant and the hostess proceeds to tell us that there are no available tables at 7:30 PM I point in the direction of booths that were clearly open and she indicates that she cannot seat us however she could see us 8 PM. I suggested to her that anybody that was arriving for 730 surely would not be done eating by the time eight rolled around but she insisted. I explained to her that we tried to call several times from the room and I tried to call from my cell phone and no one would answer to even attempt to make reservation however she didn't want to hear it and told us to return at 8. Again, I had to tow my 2 daughters (10 month old and a 3 year old) back to the pool to burn some time. We finally returned at 8 and she sat us in the EXACT same booth she said was unavailable half hour before. Made absolutely no sense and was absurd to make us walk around for 30 minutes just to seat us somewhere that was clearly open and the restaurant was absolutely not packed at all. 3. The final straw was the couch. I traveled with my young babies and my mother in law. Once we finally ate dinner (which was super late thanks to the whole restaurant drama) we pulled out the couch to reveal a mangled mess. It was so bad that half the mattress wouldn't even come out of the couch and there were metal shards sticking out of the bed. I called downstairs and they did send maintenance within a few minutes. He looks at the couch and says it's broken and would we like to be moved to another room. It's 10pm at this point, the babies were sleeping and we had everything unpacked for the one night. Seriously!?? He the proceeded to bend the metal pieces inward to keep them from poking out and we ended up having to sleep on the floor. If my girls weren't sleeping I would have probably just left at that point. Pros: it's a calm environment worth warm water pools which my kids loved. I will likely not return back, it's hard enough to do things with young children but the absolute insanity of the pullout couch was absurd. It's a king luxury suite get it was dated and falling apart. On top of that, we had to sleep on the floor since the pullout was useless and the baby scratched her leg on the metal piece!!! They were awful about answering the phones at the front desk or at the restaurant. I am super disappointed. read more

I kid you not, AS SOON AS SHE CAME OUT OF HER OFFICE she was extremely rude and yelled (yes, YELLED) over us whenever we tried to explain our situation or ask a question. She stormed back into her office only after she threatened to put a warning on my boyfriend's membership account. Really? This is a terrific getaway, as the room was very pleasant, the array of amenities and activities impressive and entertaining. The spa, swimming pools and indoor hot tubs were wonderful (atmosphere and service). They have a problem when it comes to service. The service at the restaurant Kites was substandard (45 minutes before my salad and entree arrived -- together -- and the check was left at the table with the dessert order...long before it was served). Writing this here because it is the only place to eat on the property and there are not many nearby options. Our room was not cleaned after the full day out with more than one call before it was done while we were at dinner. Fitness staff was very helpful, as were a couple of the front desk staff. Not sure if it was a seasonal staffing issue, but the hotel management really needs to do a better job training staff. read more

I stayed here for 2 nights this past weekend with my wife while attending a wedding in the area. The layout of this hotel is a bit weird in the fact that they make you walk through the sweltering pool area in order to get to your room. However, once we were in our room I thought that it looked pretty nice. The bed was really comfortable and I had a good night's sleep both nights that I was there. Now lets get into the good and bad things about the hotel. The Good -The room was nice looking and ended up being rather comfortable. -The gym and pool area were both quite large and nice. -The outdoor pool was really comfortable even whenever it was freezing outside due to the warm but not hot temperature. The Bad -After turning out the light to the ceiling fan for our room via the light switch, it would intermittently flash about every 10 seconds. We would then need to turn it off manually as well. -The TV was a pain in the butt to get to work. To make matters worse, after fiddling with the dumb thing for a few minutes in order to get it on the proper input, the response time was about 10 seconds behind my pressing the buttons on the remote. -The layout is just miserable. This was especially bad for me whenever I was located really close to the pool and instead of walking the 50 feet to it had to go up the stairs through the upper part of the pool area to the other side and then down the stairs there in order to get into the pool area. -Speaking of the pool area, I had to show a little piece of paper in order to get in. The first time I forgot it so I had to go back through the miserable layout to my room to get it. Why couldn't I just scan the key for my room? Wouldn't that be easier than a piece of paper which I could probably recreate? The Ugly -They let a drunk guy that they kicked out of the club upstairs wander around the lobby of the hotel. He knocked over and broke some empty beer bottles and eventually passed out in one of the concierges chairs. Why wouldn't you get him our of your property/lobby and get him into a cab or something else? The bottom line for me is that I probably wouldn't head back here again in the future as my own choice. While the rooms themselves were decent, there were just way too many hiccups for me especially whenever you take into account the price. read more

Here are my list of grievances: -For 250 a night, you are not getting much value for your luxury room. It is dingy and still uses CRT TVs. -We could not get a reservation at the spa ALL WEEKEND. Ridiculous! -Earliest reservations for dinner were at 9:45 when I made these at noon same day. -Room service took over 1 hour and 30 minutes. -Horrible service at Kites Restaurant . 30 minutes for a beer. Beer was skunky and they don't clean their taps. -Room service did not give us clean glasses or bags for the ice bucket. -Pool had scaffolding in it which made half of it unusable. Avoid going to this place - it is a rip off of epic proportions. read more

After having a very stressful month my boyfriend booked a room here for us for a couple nights. Bless his heart as his efforts are appreciated. The stay was underwhelming. Locks in the first room was not working so they moved us to another room which had the same issue along with a broken table, closet door and filthy refrigerator. Staff said they would have a manger contact us as well as send someone to fix the table and door. This never happened. A complaint led to the promise of a refund of 1 night. Whether this happens remains to be seen. Would not visit again and would not recommend. read more

Nice location. Bad service all over. Very disorganized. Costumer service is the worst. Food is average to low. The only good thing is the pool. But someone crap the pool twice in our stay. Did. I says twice? Indeed it happens. All the activities are expensive. The only neat thing is the gym system and the classes. Nice cardio and group classes. Everything else is far. Family ski trip took us here this year. We had a great time skiing at Mountain Creek (will post separate review). This review is based on our stay and experience at the Minerals. It is one of their hotels. First impression / encounter = fairly unhelpful front desk employee, whom we shall called "Chippy". He was as unhelpful as he can be. Guessed he wasn't happy to be working during the holiday. Thanks to Chippy, we then played an unplanned game of treasure hunt, with kids and luggages in tow.. (The treasure was our room.). We found out that in order to reach our room, we have to go through a set of doors leading to a passage way above the pool, exit another set of doors, go through more hallway, then make a right to find an elevator, but only this elevator does not go to our floor. So after the elevator tour, we continued down another hallway to another elevator. Yes, this one takes us to our level. Upon existing the elevator, we are faced with 3 choices, straight, left, or right. After 10 minutes and 5 different climate zones, we found our room. After a full day of skiing, we are hungry. Went back to the lobby to investigate our dining options. Chippy was once again as helpful as a stature. After finding out that the restaurant above the lobby was fully booked, I tried to yelp a restaurant from the lobby (btw, lobby is the only location with wifi in the entire hotel. Yelp was blocked by their firewall. Luckily, we remembered that we have driven by a supermarket, and a few restaurants earlier, we went out for our dinner. They offered indoor tennis(for a fee), basketball, and the swimming pool. The architect must thought it is a great idea to design the entrances to the pool through the freezing cold front lobby, or through an outdoor passage way (only 25 degrees). These were the only means to enter the pool area. There is no direct interior access from a heated hallway to access the pool. It may work like a charm in the summer, but not so well when it's below 30 degrees outside or that the A/C is running on high in the lobby. The pool itself is quit nice once you are there. It offers an indoor and an outdoor pool. Couldn't enjoy the pool when all I was thinking about was how to my kids back to our room without freezing and/or coming down with pneumonia. EPIC FAIL. Like the rest of this hotel design, the architect must not have taken soundproofing into consideration. We can hear our next door neighbors and can get instant notification when our upstairs neighbors return. FAIL. The gas fireplace is a nice feature, however, placing a tv that pivots over the fireplace is another design FAIL. The TV and its stand got pretty hot, surprised they didn't burn. I am no snob, but having to wait a long time for the elevator and then having to share it with the maintenance crew and housekeeping staff is not really what I had envisioned of a ski resort. You'd think they can have a service elevator for the staff. Another FAIL. The only saving grace was the service and the food during our New Year's Eve dinner and the pleasant housekeeping staff. The dinner buffet offered lots of choices. The shrimp, oysters, and crab claws were fresh. The ribeye was cooked perfectly. Our waiter from Brooklyn was very attentive and friendly, which made our dining experience enjoyable. The entertainment was also good. They had a DJ, a MC, and a lady making balloons for the kids. Unlike the front desk staff, Chippy, the housekeeping staff was very pleasant and helpful. read more

ABSOLUTLY DO NO BELIEVE THE POOR REVIEWS. We love it! Came here for a quick mid-week get a way for our 25th wedding anniversary. The staff could not do enough to help me find the best rate and nice mid-week deal. We got a great room and the bed was SO comfortable, best sleep we have had in a long while. The dining for breakfast was a bit pricey but the service was good and the food was delicious. The pool area is so nice and relaxing. we dinned off site for dinner and got great recommendations. I would go back again! We were skeptical after the bad reviews but I am glad we went! read more

Totally not what I expected I went for a romantic weekend at a 3 star spa with my wife and now wish we would have considered another place. We were greeted with a smile when we checked in but that was the last pleasant moment. After checking in we attempted to call for room service but after several attempts all we got was a voicemail. We ended up going to Kites and again they fell short for a "3 star spa". We were seated and waited almost 10 minutes before someone came to take our order. The price was $$ and the food is really nothing to brag about but the staff is what made it a terrible experience. Waiters rushing past you to avoid being asked for help food arrives but nothing to eat it with but the check sure got there nice and fast. The next morning we attempted to order room service and get some breakfast and sure enough...voicemail. We dragged ourselves to Kites since it's the only thing open to have some of the tasteless eggs, oily sausage, and half cooked potatoes. I couldn't even finish it and after we checked out, pretty quickly, stopped at the nearest McDonalds. -Aesthetically it looks nice 6-10 -Customer service gets a 3 out of 10 -Amenities could be updated 3-10. (No wifi) who carries a laptop anymore so sorry Ethernet cable you're useless to me. -Staff all around needs a SERIOUS overhaul and that always starts with management. Overall this is at most a day trip location save your money and go somewhere else. read more

I don't understand why this place has such low ratings. Me and my wife were considering going here for our short Jersey honeymoon and after seeing the low ratings we were skeptical. However we had a good feeling about the place and decided to go with it anyways. Oh man, am I glad we did! The staff was very friendly, the rooms were nice and clean, the pools were very awesome and clean, the arcade had some fun games, they had a nice basketball court, the outdoor hot pool was amazing since it has a nice view of the mountains, and overall we had a great experience. Also, I ordered some drinks at the bar upstairs to enjoy at the pool and the price was surprisingly not that bad. By the way, we didn't eat at the restaurant.. Didn't seem worth it. However, if you're a fan of hibachi YOU HAVE TO go to Yamato Hibachi only 10 minutes away. Also, for breakfast I recommend the Mixing Bowl and for healthy snacks go to Thyme market nearby. After a while we noticed that some of the bad reviews were more about personal preferences.. For instance some people were mentioning how they didn't like that you have to go through the pool area to go to the rooms, however we thought it was kind of cool because it gets you into this nice and relaxing ambiance. Also, some people were complaining of it being too crowded. We stayed from a Wednesday to a Friday and it wasn't that full, maybe on weekends it fills up? We also had a massage at the spa and it was an amazing experience. The staff was friendly, the massage therapists were thoughtful, they had complimentary teas and granola, and you didn't feel rushed off after the massage. Overall would recommend this place if you're looking to get away from the city and escape into the mountains by yourself or with your loved ones. read more

There's just no value for your money. Outdated, understaffed, spotty Internet, terrible food And substandard service. No point in mentioning names and instances. Very surprised how this place is still in business, but then again they got us to pay for it. P.S. There's so much chlorine in the pool, even walking next to it requires a follow up by an ophthalmologist. read more

Let me start by saying not one employee that I have encountered has had a smile. Never have I been in any hospitality establishment where the employees just don't seem like they care about people. I always feel like I'm bothering someone every time I need something. Even when I'm a paying customer at at restaurant or bar. I have stayed at motels that have better service than this "resort" Also everything shuts down at 9:00pm. No bars, no food, no anything after 9:00pm except very over priced vending machines. When we went to the front desk to find our options we were told to order Dominoes!! The grounds are very nice and so are the spa, gym, and pool areas. But the rooms feel very dated. This is the first time we have stayed here and it will be the last. read more

While we loved the NYE party and food, we felt that we were misled when it came to our room and rate. We booked the corner luxury suite because we were told it had more space and divide for a family. Not only were we not given a corner room, but it was no larger or compartmentalized than the standard room. It also felt dirty and run down. We paid a significant amount for an upgraded room and were extremely disappointed in the room and service provided. Specifically, we had to request our pre-booked crib be delivered 3 separate times before it actually came at 9pm (we checked in at 4pm), we waited an hour for the shuttle from Grand Cascades to actually pick us up after the Crystal Tavern called it for us, and the indoor pool was drained so we could not swim in it. Unfortunately, the service provided definitely did not warrant the price charged. read more

Hotel looks nice but the walls are too thin you can hear every single conversation in the other room. I'm up late posting this because of the loud mouth next door. Probably would not come back here again. Update: I called at the front desk and they handled the situation accordingly. As far as the walls, you guys still need to take care of that. My luxury room is FAR from the room promoted on their website. When I checked in to my "luxury" room at 5pm there were several room service trays what looked like breakfast stacked on both sides of my room door....and where STILL there 4 hours later well after 9pm. What amazes me even more is I've seen staff pass several times and not even call a service person to clear away. The bathrooms had long hairs on towels and the floor when I first went into my room. Besides me being disappointed in the cleanliness and service of this place, here are the positives of this place: it's a kid heaven; nice indoor basketball courts; okay indoor/outdoor pool area for kids; "luxury" room has a lot of sq ft with a breakfast bar, sink, microwave, mini fridge; free wifi; free shuttles to mountain creek; far enough yet close enough for a mini-vacation; better and nicer restaurants at neighboring resorts. Other cons: very pricey for what you get; limited room service menu; resort layout is odd; 10-15 minute drive to the nearest store if you want to buy snacks or eat off premises. read more

If you don't mind kids running all over making noise this your place especially if you drunken company also.Took forever to check in.Their shuttle buses don't run a regular schedule so you never know how long it will take to get one.He heard other patrons complaining about the food and the lack of service so we went off site.They shuttles went take you there you have to take your own car.The drinks and food from what I saw were over priced and of poor quailty.Dont was your money going here. read more
