Save your money and find a real luxury resort! They also say it's family friendly, but you can't get anywhere on the grounds without going up and down stairs. There are no ramps, so forget using a stroller or wheelchair. The staff is completely unknowledgeable and couldn't tell me simple directions to get to the pickle ball courts without going up and down at least two dozen steps. This is by no means a luxury hotel. Minerals resort was not what I expected to say the least. We pull up to what resembles a kids day camp. Screaming children swarming the resort like a tiny zombie takeover. We decide to keep and open mind and make the best of it. (Keep in mind the website showed none of this.) The room was perfectly accommodated for my sister who is handicapped, which was greatly appreciated. Rooms were clean and well kept with a spacious bathroom and plenty of storage. The pool area was all about seating. There's plenty of places to choose and we found that the closer to the sprinklers it provides enough space while still being close to the action. The tiki bar and the food outside was amazing! This was our saving grace. The food was delicious and service was quick. Drinks were strong which gave the screaming children more of a white noise ambience effect. The biggest downfall of the resort is Kites Restaurant. Understaffed, long waits, unhappy people. We stuck it out and sat at the bar instead of waiting for a table. Friendly bartenders and the food seemed to arrive quicker. I would suggest eating an early dinner or having some drinks and taking your food to go. read more

This trip has been a trip from hell. - When we booked our spa hotel package we were told we didn't need to schedule the spa yet and then when we called a few days before to ask they said no you needed to book it that day with the package so now our spa day is after check out on Sunday. -the girl who sang in the cabaret was great! But the comedian started his set making fun of Down syndrome and his show just continued to tank from there and he knew it. - they messed up our archery reservation and sent us on a wild hike all over to property to find the spot where this is supposed to be only to call back to the lobby and it wasn't happening it was actually at a whole other resort. - they ask when you book about any allergies and I have dangerous food allergies to which they messed up every meal for us. At the restaurant I couldn't eat anything which they told us when we got there and they made me a straight cheese pizza with nothing else on it but tons of olive oil which you could not eat. Breakfast buffet was cold and not worth the $30 voucher plus the money on top of that to cover the remainder. Lunch at the Kite, we decided on room service and told them about the allergy, the food comes back covered in what I cannot eat or end up in a hospital. I had to wait for them to come back with a meal cooked and they gave me a burnt burger with a side of gross Mac n cheese that was runny like soup. The dinner and show they didn't say anything about the fact it is buffet style which just led to long lines and people in cramped corridors while on line with maskless people with no mark enforcement. We asked someone if I could eat anything here, (again we were asked for food allergies when booking and alerted them to the fact they are dangerous) and the man comes back 15 min later saying everything is covered in my allergy. They were supposed to make me a whole new meal to which I waited about 45 min and they didn't even ask me what I wanted / could eat and came with salmon which is still a no no under my allergies. They came back and offered us a free bottle of cheap wine and we got fed up and left. We walk back to our room and our phone is ringing and they are surprised that we have left and offered me a rib-eye. Got the rib-eye which was not seasoned at all so we just ordered pizza and called this whole dinner a bust. -if you go to dinner at spring bistro, try to get seated inside. The tent situation they have outside is not safe. It was so windy we could not eat our meal without hearing metal banging together. A tall waiter came in to the tent, picked up a wine barrel and put it up against the tent plastic to try to keep it down from blowing against us. The supervisor on duty could do nothing for us and is having their superior call us tomorrow. We attended the new year eve 2019 at one of your resort/hotel dining room (mineral hotel) copper room. We paid a hefty amount of $ 58 per person for two adults. We are highly disappointed at everything that was organized there. The new year party never looked like a new year party. There were hardly any people attending it and everything was dark without any energy. The promotion of the place at resort's website was misleading. The promotion promised a live pasta counters and there were not any such counters at the venue. Everything was so cold and sad. We drove for 1.5 hours one way with an infant for this experience. Even at the time of the booking there was not any clear communication from the hotel about the confirmation about our reservation or the direction of the venue. Also, there was a champagne in house and we were not informed about it. The server only offered it looking at our disappointment at everything. However, the server at the venue were sweet enough which was the only positive takeaway from the experience. I would request the management to look into this and take a serious action. read more

UNDERWHELMING. I was very disappointed with our stay at Minerals "resort". I had high hopes, after reading the website and speaking with 2 agents prior to booking. The devil is in the details and to always read the fine print; but, the website is misleading. The website omits key material facts, known in advance I either would've stayed at the Lodge or just gone elsewhere. We managed to make the most of it, but I felt duped (bait and switch). The hotel doesn't support cost/fees charged, and facility/service is below average quality. People are nice, but not professionally trained in service industry. Doing their best, but level of service doesn't support moderate expectations. Expect more at the price point. The accommodations were average/low quality (bed and pillows hard). vending and ice machines in halls (more mid level motel). The quality of the sheets, towels, products etc. do not support the rates and fees. Enter the hotel lobby and met with intense smells of chlorine and sweaty gym. No mid or high end resort put indoor pool/gym area off lobby. Worse, you must walk through gross indoor pool area to get to/from room. The only option is to go long way around through empty ballroom (creepy). I liken the hotel as the Spirit Airlines of hotels. Be prepared to pay for everything, including a game of pool (I was shocked to find a $5 charge to shoot pool - it's free at the Lodge). The website misleads people into believing your stay is "inclusive", but it is not no matter what they say. The game room and arcade are outrageously expensive, which is explains why they were always empty. Imagine charging $15 for 30 minutes of gaming per console with no flexibility in splitting your time to play more than one game. Parents have to be present regardless of age, but there is no seating except for a long wooden bench. The arcade games are $2-3 per game, which doesn't go very far. They even charge to use the small rock climbing wall in the gym area. Their pool policy limits the number of towels you're allotted, and I was even told if I wanted extras to return to my room as there are some in there! The pool longe chairs are low quality plastic and do not have cushions. The biggest flaw of the pool area is NO UMBRELLAS. If you manage to find a spot in the "shaded" area, you have no visibility of your kids in the pool (you can't see the "cliff" jump. They have very strict rules for kids (think anyone under 16), and doesn't allow for any flexibility. The website promotes Minerals as the family friendly option of the two properties, but fails to disclose the strict rules for kids under age 16. This age group cannot be in game room or arcade alone, cannot use the hot tub or be anywhere independently. Not everyone under the age of 16 is similarly situated nor should the same rules apply to teens as to those 10 and under. The hotel should make it clear what to expect, so people can make informed decisions. Do not bring your teens to this hotel under any circumstances. The website and booking agents do not disclose to potential hotel guests they will be surrounded by a large number of local residents who live in the surrounding areas/towns who are "members" of the facility. The hotel was at 40% capacity (or less), but the place was overrun with local residents and their guests using the gym, pool and activities. My intent was to spend time at the Minerals hotel, not the Hamburg community. There is a constant flow of outsiders throughout the day and evening, using the facilities, which isn't relaxing, takes up all the space at the pool area, creates lines to order food, and creates higher risks for security and safety. This also made using the spa next to impossible. There was zero availability and scheduling flexibility at the spa, and it's hard to manage the limited activity schedule with the spa schedule. Activities are only offered at certain times over the course of the day, which makes scheduling other things very difficult. The food was just average, considering the prices. There are no options, and Minerals has you over a barrel. The area has nothing to offer, (pizza place and limited fast food). The local towns are not cute and have nothing to offer (no cute shops or restaurants). You're stuck, so you pay. The best meal was breakfast, and it's painful when a side of bacon is $10! This is not a resort, no matter what they want to call themselves. Marketing and website mislead you resulting in over promising and under delivery. If I were to go back, it would be at the Lodge, and then a one night stay suffices. They want to be something they're not, and I'm not sure they can ever be given the location. The Lodge is certainly not worthy of a 5 star resort rating, which is what they call themselves. read more

Absolutely mortified. Here for a wedding and I feel totally disrespected by the staff and manager Tim. First of all, the hotel is incredibly dingy. Towels had yellow stains and walls were dented and scraped. It is extremely run down and upon staying here I requested a late check out. The manager Tim said he can extend the room for a late check out for an additional 50 dollars!! He said this is standard hotel policy (it's not) and was extremely short and rude over the phone. Unbelievable. You either CANT do a late check out or you can. It's so tacky to say we can't accommodate it unless you pay 50 dollars. Yuck. He contradicted himself and said since there isn't availability he has to charge (if your charging for it and offering they have to have availability. Arrived in the evening to a house crawling with lady bugs. They sent a maintenance guy to vacuum them out but more of them kept coming back. Next day we went to get breakfast at the minerals restaurant at 11 am and were told they can not serve us because it's between breakfast and lunch. Turned away and walked down the road to Dunkin' Donuts. Inquired about the tennis and racquet ball courts. It turns out that tennis is an astronomical 48 dollars an hour and racquet ball is 10 for guests of the resort! The interiors of the homes are severely outdated, like stepping back into the 80s and 90s and the whole package is complemented with the lowest quality soap and shampoo package in the bathroom. Booked the hotel two years ago for a wedding. Now wedding was to be off site and just blocked the room since this is the only big hotel in the area. Dana helped with the block and was good. Made sure guests had rooms where it was possible and mostly answered immediately (weekends and after hours was mostly when she didn't and understandable). Two weeks before the weekend we booked we were emailed that they doubly booked the Presidential suit and that they were "upgrading" us two a two room suit which was literally a one room suit with a connected second room that has a door in the rooms to access. This room wasn't an upgrade. When we checked into the hotel we were handed the welcome bag we put together and was told it's compliments of the bride and groom. Now our names were on the bags and the sign in front of the bags yet the staff couldn't take the two seconds to realize that. Just felt none personable. The day of the wedding the girls got ready in our room and the hotel told us they were going to clean it before we got back that night. Needless to say when we got back it wasn't touched and we had to call the desk. They did clean while we went to the bar for an hour for the "after party" but again it is the attention to detail that wasn't there. Hotel felt a little outdated and definitely was not worth the nightly rate. The stay was fine and did it's job but basically got the vibe you are paying the price only because they are the only name in the game in that area so they can charge that. read more

TLDR: Minerals Hotel booked my room for the wrong night. They were unable to accommodate and sent me up the road to the Quality Inn, where I had to book and pay for the room myself. They comped one night on their property, told me I couldn't use the facilities until noon on my check in day, couldn't get into my room until 4 PM, and then proceeded to give me one of the worst rooms on the property. I originally booked during August 2020 when my friend's wedding was to occur. The wedding was pushed back to 2021 and I was told my hotel accommodation had been moved. Since we were receiving the hotel block rate, I thought, I would extend my trip. I went into the system and changed my reservation to include Friday evening, August 27. The bride notified me she did not see my reservation for Friday evening. I called the hotel on August 24 and confirmed the reservation dates with them. They told me despite what I was seeing on my end, they did not have my reservation for Friday, but were able to quickly accommodate and I was back on track for the weekend. Friday evening, my husband and 5 year old head up. We check in and are told that our reservation is for Saturday and Sunday, not Friday and Saturday as we were previously told and they have no available hotel rooms for Friday evening. They tell me to call reservations as it is a separate department from check in and see what they can do. I called to review my booking. I am told when the supervisor returns from lunch, they will review the reservation phone call made to see who had made the error. An hour and a half later, I receive a call confirming THE HOTEL HAD MADE THE ERROR. While the hotel had made the error, they still had no rooms available for Friday evening. They offer to comp Sunday, or I can use a comp for a future visit. For Friday evening they tell me I can stay at the Quality Inn up the road for a discounted rate. I just had to call and make the reservation. I request the comp be used for Saturday because if they think I am ever coming back to one of their properties they are mistaken. They agree to let us use the comp for Saturday, but we would still need to pay for Friday and make our booking at the Quality Inn. There were some additional issues I had with the "resolution" of the situation. The pool opens at 10 so I asked if I could come in the morning and use the pool. I was refused and told I could come at noon. Also, I had to attend a wedding which started at 5PM and check in was not until 4PM. How was I supposed to get my family ready in that time? I was told I would be put on a priority list, but they could not guarantee my check in until 4PM. Saturday morning, we head back to Minerals. I checked to see if the room was ready. There was a room available and the clerk asked if there were any special circumstances regarding my room. I proceeded to tell her about what happened the night before. She said, "well they put you in a poopy room; probably one of the worst on the property. Let me see if I can change that". Thankfully, the front desk clerk was able to move us out of a "poopy room" and give us a normal queen room. Review of the room: door did not lock, bedding was damp, bathroom was moldy, faucet was coming off the wall in the tub, bathroom sink was cracked, runner on our bed was melted, room window opened, but it was so low a child could easily fall out. Swimming area: light hanging above the hot tub that had fallen out of the broken tiles and was about to drop into the hot tub at any moment, possibly electrocuting people using the tub, broken tiles in pool, hot tub area, concrete in the pool is busted up. The food was very tasty, but food and drinks were way overpriced. Thank you, Minerals, for turning my dream trip into a horrific nightmare. You will never see a penny of mine again and I hope this review will warn others not to spend their money with you as well. You are a disgrace to the Hospitality industry and are just money hungry inconsiderate fools. read more

Utterly disgusting. My family and I had originally intended for a 4 day vacation at this "resort." However, we were so disappointed by the hotel (motel). They spent more money on the amenities than the rooms themselves. There were blood stains in our room, the beds were as hard as rock, the showers made loud screeching sounds, the doors are too thin (we heard some things that we definitely did not want to hear), there were no smoke detectors, the service was horrible (besides for a couple of waiters). From the outside it seems like there's numerous activities for a family, but in reality they have the same activities everyday. It is definitely fair to say we will never be coming back to this motel. read more

Not sure where to even begin...this place is WAY overpriced for what you get! My husband planned a nice romantic getaway for us here, and we did have a nice time, but there were so many issues with this place. Let me start with the good because I truly hate giving negative reviews...the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was really nice, the view was pretty, the pool area was awesome (2 hot tubs, a cold pool, 2 warm indoor pools, 1 heated outdoor pool, a sauna and a steam room!), and the spa and massages were incredible (request Kristen R...she's amazing and works miracles on your back!). Ok...now for the not so great. We stayed in a Presidential Suite...we really wanted to enjoy our stay. There was salt spilled all over our bar area and hair in our jacuzzi tub...and I was surprised that the bar wasn't stocked...no food or drinks in there. No big deal though. I went to get a nice view of our balcony....it's barred off, so you can't go out there to enjoy the scenery. There were barely any drawers for our clothes, and no closet in the bedroom...and the 3 drawers they did have were broken, so we couldn't even use them. The tile floors ok the main room were cracked and ugly. There's a fireplace in the bedroom that is double sided to go into the bathroom...cool, right? Nope...not cool...the fireplace makes it so that you can see right from the bedroom into the bathroom...awkward! Also, if you have to pee in the middle of the night, the light shines right into the bedroom! There is only one restaurant in the whole hotel...if you go, make a lot of time because it takes hours to get your food. Service is super friendly, but super slow. The food is amazing though, so that's good! Oh, but do NOT order room service. We ordered a Caesar salad and a personal sized margarita pizza and 2 sodas, and it cost $50! They charge a $5 delivery fee and add in a 21% tip...and the food that they delivered was so small and terrible...not worth it! Also, we put the tray outside of our room at 2:30pm, and it was still there when we left to go skiing the next morning! We took the shuttle to the ski place and the guy who drove us there was very nice...when we called for pick up, they said 15-20min...it took them 50min to get us! So, there you go...that's my full review. I wouldn't stay there again, and I'd never recommend it to anyone I know, but the positives are that it was conveniently close to skiing and snowboarding, and the pool and spa were amazing. read more

Love the intimate settings of the resort. Cute outdoor heated pool left so much fun memories! Indoor pool has jacuzzi and steam room and sauna next to it. All are in the same building of the rooms. Wonderful setting in the mountains. We hiked for 4 hours to the top of Mountain Creek behind the hotel. Restaurant is good. Cannot ask for more. There are areas for improvement but with their price it is a great choice. We also went on a hotel affiliated Vernon Valley Farm tour with Kirk. So educational and unforgettable! Also had a lot of fun with laser clay shooting. Tons of activities. Will definitely be back! Highly recommend it. read more

Very disappointed. Family was hoping for family-friendly fun weekend getaway. Lots of kid-friendly stuff, and we were happy about that. Great buffet and magic show delighted kids and parents alike. Great pools. But two huge issues: (1) blaring rock-concert volume outdoor weddings ran til 10 PM Friday and 11 PM (!) Saturday night, ruining our family's ability to sleep and be rested for long travel the next day, and the front desk was snippy about it; (2) extraordinarily expensive and not nearly worth it, and they nickle-and-dime you for everything. For super-expensive luxury, breakfast would have been nice, and coffee in the morning for guests would be appropriate. Instead paid $500+ per night for room and nearly $6 for coffee and another $6 for a cup of orange juice. There are so many other options, we'll never go back. read more

I had my wedding here and it was an amazing experience and memory. The staff is great and everyone was in love with my wedding weekend. This last weekend I stayed one night to have a ladies night with two friends. We had a great time. The outdoor heated pool was so hot it was great! The room was nice and clean and very big. The picture from the other site is indeed a marketing partner and was provided to them from Crystal springs as it IS a picture of the room they're advertisement. I've also included the pic from their actual website which shows a nice bottle of champagne and sweet note, none of which was there. Also it shows a direct view of the tv and nice views out of the window. He's insulting as always with his need to state the obvious as they cannot predict the view. Surely they don't expect to give a construction view on a room marketed as "romantic or suiteheart". But they did and offered no warning nor compensation. Regardless, with the noise/thin walls and floors and awful views, there was absolute nothing romantic nor "suiteheart" about it. Don't trust this place. They're full of false promises. Rooms could be in better shape first off. Was there for a wedding and the room across from mine had a toilet overflowing so much that I had to build a dam with towels to stop it from reaching. It took about 7 phone calls and 25 minutes for someone to come up after a friends who is a plumber made it there first from a different floor different area in 2 min. They closed the main pool outside without giving prior knowledge when booking. That's the most fun pool so big difference in having it. Probably would have stayed one less night in that case. They claimed lack of lifeguards as reasoning but we saw a ton of them walking around the entire time. More walking around then life guard chairs around every pool. Wedding was gorgeous though but that's different then hotel stay. Golf and food were also very very good. Poorly run is probably the big issue. read more

Members of the spa and gym. Has its ups and downs but a great place to hang out considering the local area doesn't have much else to offer. Pools will be very busy during the summer and school vacations. Don't expect the lifeguards to be focused...most will be on their phones but some do a great job. Tiki bar and food hut is a nice touch. Very pricey though. When you sign up you receive many small perks plus guest passes, however you have to also pay if you bring a guest during the holidays and peak times. Quite ridiculous! Had massage at elements and it is the best around. Very relaxed and great atmosphere. A really good job! While area is being renovated (locker rooms, basketball courts...etc...)...it was much needed and I hope they maintain them. Mixed review. It's gotten better in recent times. read more

Stayed here for a wedding, was a beautiful place driving up and first walking in. Kathy at the front desk was so personable and helpful, very outgoing personality and professional. Walked into our room and was very disgusted. Dead flies on the window sill, previous occupants lipstick on the chair. No fridge or microwave like the room description had originally said we would have. Not having those two things with a toddler was very rough. Broken cabinet doors in the bathroom, stains on the walls. For the amount of money that was spent i was super dissatisfied. No towels in the room and we had to walk all the way back to the lobby to get them. read more

The hotel also offers so many amenities, such as a spa, pool, basketball court, for example. Keep in the mind the spa costs extra. Absolutely terrible. Disappointed to say the least. Booked the sunshine, swim and sip package only to find out upon Checkin that the outdoor doesn't open until Memorial Day weekend. The pool Was dirty. The layout/design to get to our room on the 3rd floor was bizarre and ridiculous. We had a family member with a knee issue and the elevator was past the pool deck balcony deck and then 1/4 mile walk to the room. Kites restaurant was terrible. Upon arriving for our 5pm RESERVATION, we were seated and then proceeded to have to 25 minutes for a server bc they were in a staff meeting with their manager! Manager should be aware of all reservations and if it says opens at 5pm. It should be OPEN not make people wait until 5:30pm for any type of service; ie. water! This was a very disappointing birthday trip especially for $ 435 a night and considering we have stayed at Grand Cascades before we were expecting better. Wow, will never return to or recommend this hotel. From start to finish (making reservation to checkout) was completely disappointed and flabbergasted at how you are able to charge over $400/night for a stay at this hotel. My family made reservations and included in our reservation was a Sunshine, Sip and Stay package (with hats, sunglasses and drink voucher for pool). Well, how can you offer said package when your (outdoor) pool isn't even open?! Poor and dishonest marketing. Secondly, we were given a handicap accessible room (which we did not ask for) which had no balcony or countertops in the bathroom. That is something that should be disclosed at time of reservation or at the very latest check in, and the price should have been adjusted accordingly, seeing as how room amenities were lacking. Aesthetically, hotel is old, and unkempt. We flushed the toilet after being in room for a mere 5 minutes and toilet was filling up with water and not flushing, at which point someone had to come and plunge to fix. Third, the hotel set up/layout is completely confusing and at no point in a persons stay should they have to leave (go outside the hotel even for 10 feet) to get to the indoor pool from our room. Fourth, on two separate occasions your hotel restaurant (kites) was found lacking and unprofessional. I called to place room service order on Saturday morning at 8am, at which point I was told by staff member "you're gonna have to give me until 8:30am" and to call back then. If your restaurant says it opens at 8am, I should be able to order food at 8am. We called back at 8:15am, at which point spoke to a different person, who kindly explained that room service orders were at least an hour wait, but we could come to the buffet. We thanked her and did exactly that (which would have done after our first phone call had that staff member been helpful and professional). Fifth, my family and I called and made dinner reservations for 5pm at Kites restaurant. Upon arriving at restaurant promptly at 5pm, we were seated and proceeded to have to wait 25 MINUTES until a server finally came to our table?! There was only one other table occupied in the entire restaurant, so there was no reason. Upon explanation from the hostess, she apologized for the delay and informed us that they were all in a staff meeting at other end of restaurant. We gave it 10 more minutes and then went down to front desk to complain, at which point the front desk was appalled to hear this and called the restaurant to find out what was going on. About 5 minutes later our waitress came over and proceeded to give us water etc. My family obviously knew it was not the wait staffs fault but rather the manager and poor organizational skills. We also had a toddler with us, so you can imagine that 25 minute wait for mere water in our world or anyone's world for that matter, is absolutely unacceptable. My family had stayed at Grand Cascades a few years ago and we loved it. We didn't realize how substandard and downright disappointing the Minerals Hotel would be in comparison. Obviously recognizing the price difference per night, we realized it would be a slight downgrade, but we never imagined how much of a downgrade it would be, considering you still charge over $400/night and a two night stay cost over $1000 when all was said and done?! Absolute ripoff -needs a complete overhaul of entire hotel and accommodations from the ground on up. Will never stay here again and will deter anyone I know from staying in the future. read more

We had a great time these last few days.... We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Plenty of things to do. Room was fine, all was clean. The view of the mountains from our room was spectacular. Staff was friendly and happy to help. Had a great time at the pool. Lower rating because of the quality of items in the room itself. The entire resort is quite beautiful and fun! They have basketball courts and pools and the kid in me wanted to stay here all the time however our room was mediocre. The sheets and towels were the roughest I have ever felt at a hotel, the bed was lumpy with a horrible dent in the mattress, and as I'm writing this I am shaking some ants off my feet in the bathroom which seems to be infested with them. Where to start. The one star is for the outdoor space and bar. That lawn is pretty and the drinks were OK. We enjoyed that space, but it was pretty, not resort-like, so do not be fooled. It also helped that the weather was AMAZING, so anything outside would have been good for us and really had little to do with the venue. The rest?? Yikes. Firstly, we were there for a local wedding and the bride and groom blocked off a bunch of rooms, including ours. The wedding started at 3:30, but I guess check in is at 4PM. Super, late, people! However, while the check in is pretty late ( considering checkout is 11AM), the issue lays with the communication. First, when we booked in Feb., we were expressly told we could check-in early. This is standard...I dont think I have ever checked-in at the actual check in time at a hotel- they always let you check in a little early ( say, an hour early) We get there at 12:30 and tell the front desk we know we are here early and DO NOT expect to get into the room now, but it would be soon, right? Well, NO....not right. They put us on a list and we never got to check in... we told them we were there for a wedding that started at 3:30, in a RESERVED block. Guess that did not matter. We told them that we were told something different over the phone, and guess what? They did not care. This is the kicker....we did not assume we could check in early, we were told we could over the phone! Side note, they also lost our wedding favor. nice, right? a-holes. We had to get dressed for a formal wedding in a locker room. It freaking sucked. Worst part? guess this was an issue for other guests and they let them check in early?So nice to hear that little tid-bit. By the time we checked in that night, the room was sub-par at best with a dirty blanket. We paid almost $400 for about 5 hours at a crap "resort". Stay away...far away. Not worth the money or hassle. Train your staff and train your call- center folks. Giving the wrong information causes issues fro your guests who are paying GOOD money to stay. You are not doing us a favor, you are providing us a PAID service. Get it together. PS- the locker room is not a spa...stop telling people that shizz.... read more

Let me start by saying if you're going to this hotel cancel your trip and get a refund. This place is disgusting. The moment I walked into my "clean" room there was flies and a smell that someone must have spilled a whole case of beer that wasn't properly cleaned up. That's just first impression. Nobody at the front Desk besides Tracy (who is very sweet and honestly should get a raise for dealing with all her coworkers) gives a crap about how your stay is because the staff must all be under 20 years old during the day. I called to get a vacuum and a clean set of sheets the young man who came to help (who was actually very nice but didn't speak a work of English) smelled like he hasn't showered in days. It was horrible. There is a restaurant and a bar food. The restaurant is who makes the room service and it will come ice cold, takes over and hour, and as you can read in other reviews it's some of the worst food I've had in my life. It's not hard to mess up a Taylor ham egg and cheese on a roll but somehow again this staff continues to do the impossible. Once you're done with the food put it in the hallway like any other hotel except here it will stay there for 12 hours(probably why I've seen PEST CONTROL everyday I've been here).... not directly in-front of your door anymore they just move it down the hall around the corner and let it sit there. See pictures. While I was writing this review my wife yells "there are ants all over your children's sneaker!!!!" Let's add this to the laundry list of what a horrible place this is. See pictures. The bar food is decent I'll give them that. If it rains or thunders and lightening there is absolutely nothing for children to do here. Obviously they close the outdoor pool but they close the indoor one as well. Now I have no problem with this but my kids they do. That's why we picked a place with an indoor pool... but wait they almost saved it with "movie night". Moved indoor .. into a 100 degrees racketball court with a projector that does not work. In the racketball court they have a leak where the drop ceiling is falling down and a bucket is placed to catch the water ..... RIGHT NEXT TO YOU!!! See pictures. Nobody mops the hallways. Yikes! What a dump! My friend and I came up from NYC for a quick girls weekend (without kids). We didn't have super high expectations but this place is one of the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Similar to many reviews here, we received zero details about the facilities upon check in. We had no idea what amenities were available. Note to management: put together a welcome packet.... no brainer!!! Once we walked, what felt like 3 miles to our room with all our bags, room looked decent but the beddings smelled stale and musky. Kinda gross! The pools were SO packed with kids, filthy dirty and murky. There were hoards of people taking up all the chairs, smoking, being So loud. This is not the place to come if you are seeking any kind of relaxation. For dinner we tried to go to the ONE restaurant on the property. It was so unbelievably understaffed; the hostess was completely flustered, the place was packed with tables with no drinks or food.... we left immediately. Went to the front desk for advise and the woman was helpful recommending places in the area. We had to drive to a restaurant for dinner. For $300 a night, we would have liked to have stayed there, had some wine and not had to worry about driving. How can you just have one place open for dinner at a place that large? We learned that many people are members and go there to use the pools since there's nothing else in the area- people can also buy day passes. It obvious there isn't a cap- it was ridiculously crowded. Overall this place is super weathered, grossly understaffed, unorganized and just overall dirty. Not a touch of class (their website is completely misleading). I would not recommend this place to anyone. Do NOT stay here. read more

Overall **** Based on the Yelp reviews perhaps I went into this with super low expectations which allowed me to be pleasantly surprised by Minerals. We showed up with a group of 26 for an overnight trip, the kids loved the pools and jumping off the cliff and the parents loved that the kids were so busy that we were able to chill. All in everyone enjoyed themselves so I'll push my 3.5 Stars to 4. Setting *** The Hotel itself is older so it's not perfect but I found the grounds and common areas to be very well maintained and the pool area was borderline pristine. The rooms themselves are not 5 Star and there are little things here and there I could nitpick but in our party nobody had any real complaints outside of one room who thought the beds were too hard. My main gripe is the layout of the hotel. It's spread out and the trip to your room could possibly be like going through a maze as well as some elevators don't go to the floor you need. Other minor issues, they do not provide morning coffee in the lobby and they do serve breakfast I couldn't tell as there is no signage. They seem to offer a myriad of events but we couldn't really figure out where they were being held. There is the outdoor pool with cliff jumping and plenty of lounge chairs as well as trees for the shade seekers. There is also an outdoor hot pool, indoor pool, jacuzzi, cold pool, locker rooms and a complete gym rounded things out. The people watching around the pool was generally less interesting that I anticipated as most everyone there were just everyday normal people enjoying themselves. They seem to do a brisk wedding business as by late afternoon it was one bridal party after another rolling out. For what it's worth we got to talking to a few people that are members there and they all were over the top with their praise. Service **** If not for the overly stern and unfriendly lifeguards I might give 5 Stars here. One housekeeper I spoke with didn't seem to have a high opinion of the hotel but outside of her everyone else I interacted with was very friendly and pleasant. Food/Drinks *** Arriving at 11:30 our group spent the day lounging, eating and drinking by the pool in absolutely perfect weather on a Saturday. The pool area operates with sort of Southern Moonshine type theme with the bartenders wearing overalls, the bar like a makeshift still and the food predominantly BBQ. The mixed drink "buckets" were enjoyed maybe a bit too much by the ladies as was the "Cocoa Chill". I mainly stuck to beer which they had a decent assortment of and most importantly was very cold. Regarding the food we sampled Ribs (too much sauce and fatty), Wings (says smoked but we couldn't tell), Burgers and Grilled Chicken Sandwiches. Everything was pretty good but we decided against having lunch there the next day so it wasn't something we really desired. Value *** It's not cheap but what is these days? $250 for a large room is pretty good, food by the pool is going to cost you $15 pp which hurt, drinks seemed reasonable with $6 Beer and $14 Buckets. read more

This place is over-rated! We stayed here for 2 nights, and we could not wait to leave. Their main attraction is the pools. At night the indoor pool area is very scenic. The first evening we had dinner at the in house restaurant, Kites. The food was sub-par to say the least. I ordered a salad the chicken was cold and seemed as though it was placed on the plate directly from a frozen packet. The hotel itself seemed empty, but the pools and pool area was packed with locals. Itdefinitely was not a relaxing resort feeling I was expected. The lobby of the hotel is well maintained, but the rest of the hotel, not so much. Next time we will try Mountain Creek. read more

Wonderful hotel, we did a little getaway for the thanksgiving break and it was such a smart decision of staying at Minerals. We had such a nice stay. The room was super clean. We went to the aquatic center and it was amazing. There is outside pool which has hot water and it's open till late. People swim there, hang out and it's so nice. Then there is pool 2 hot jacuzzis and sauna s. All of the aquatic places were cool and clean and not to packed so was nice good times . And it's very near a lot of other stuff like towns, wineries, hikes. I d definitely recommend this hotel. It's kid friendly as well. There is a bar on 2'nd floor with fire place too. It's a nice place to stay for upstate experience. read more

After being promised a quiet Mountain View, I was given a room that faced the street that was infested with lady bugs. When I called and informed the front desk, they said their was nothing they could do. I had just booked the room an hour prior and despite the fact that Tom promised me a quiet Mountain View, he said he could not do anything about it. It was so loud in the room that I could hear the cars splashing by in the puddles four flights down. Yes, there are fun things to do for the kids, but, unfortunately, it was very loud in the room! How thin must the walls be if I could clearly hear the motorcycles and cars four flights down? If you want peace and quiet, you shouldn't stay here. What's more, be prepared to bring your own food. The only restaurant on the premises was booked solid for dinner and they didn't offer any alternatives. read more

The pool area .. from the locals who manage to sneak in, constantly drunk, degenerates who are ex employees of the long ago action park ( you know who you are ) to the management non existent because now you have our money so you just don't care about the fact that your bar runs out of mint at 1 in the afternoon you run out of towels the locals are horrible to the lifeguards, smoking in the pool around the pool. The crap they allow in the pool the inflate able balls and trapeze lines simply ridiculous. You pack people in to the point that people have to put down towels in the grassy area that now turns muddy muddy. It's ok you have our money. I am a private member of the pool. I went there today for the first time since COVID. It was absolutely horrid. Bronx boys or Paterson boys were there with their big "boom boxes" (yes remember those). They were blasting - taking over pool . Even security didn't handle it. After complaining 4 times we left. People were publicly smoking including maryjane with kids there playing. It seems it's the new Paterson Poconos. I was told "I don't give a F@&&@& !
