    Summer Concert Series!

One of the most beautiful wineries I've been to in the Sacramento Valley! And the wines are fabulous! Live music in a beautiful setting! Fabulous wines!

Beautiful venue for outdoor concerts! Love that they allow you to bring your own food AND offer a food truck. We had a little issue with wheelchair accessibility initially, but we're more than taken care of with a simple email before the event. We will definitely be back for more outdoor concerts this year! Good wine & friendly service.

I called Miner's Leap on a Tuesday or Wednesday to reserve a spot. They were closed but by Thursday evening they called back and I was able to reserve a table. Before reserving I had to make sure to ask if they're kid friendly, with Covid going on and all, and they are! I reserved for 4 adults and 5 children up by the "hill". This place isn't hard to find coming from north bound, there's a pretty big sign that directs you to the winery and parking areas. There was a good amount of parking spots and open space. The area we were seated at was next to an open lawn area so the kids were able to run freely. There was no wine tasting due to covid but they did offer outdoor seating, flights of wine, 5- 2.5 oz pours, glasses, or bottles. You can also bring your own food to eat and there was also live music from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. The service here is excellent! We were always checked up on and made sure that we were doing fine. The kids each got to get an otter pop, which I thought was so nice of them to do. About the wine.. I'm a red wine drinker but... the whites here were amazing. My favorite was the Delta Breeze which was a white blend if Chardonnay and something else. It was refreshing and had a fruit/citrusy taste to it. The reds weren't my favorite but maybe because I'm used to Cabernets or Merlots.

Found this lovely little winery along the river in Clarksburg. The people were very friendly and the wine was delicious! Grounds provided plenty of seating options a stage for live music and a location for weddings or renewing your vows.

"Oh YUM!" On A Chill "Chill" Day! SITREP I've been hitting the Old Sugar Mill - along with it's bevy of about a dozen or so wineries and wine bars - several weekends over this past 2017 Holiday Season. And EACH TIME, I've *blitzed* by Miner's Leap Winery ("ML"), which is about a mile past the draw bridge - a couple miles before The Older Sugar Mill. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/miners-leap-winery-clarksburg?select=Ga90EYGAYc1ai5UBarDrsQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w This time I decided to stop in, especially since they were OPEN, and I could see blazing fire pits all around on the ground, with gaggles of wine connioseurs enjoying some tasty vintages in their glasses (and why yes, I could see all this from the road in a split second's time!). https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/miners-leap-winery-clarksburg?select=giRJ5S2CIcQGyc3yWz-oAQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w THE SETUP Set upon a gorgeous plot of land on the Delta, just adjacent to the river (the levee just abuts their line from which the road is upon), ML has all the rustic charm of a New England Farm. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/miners-leap-winery-clarksburg?select=vUOGFpV_Tcb_md4ziFfROg&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w It is complete with a barn structure within which the wine bar is hosted, and surrounded by a number of lovely fire pit nooks, radiating out like a number of different planets revolving around their star - a virtual Constellation of Wine! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/miners-leap-winery-clarksburg?select=foLV9bJSFwtE-lMjt_hqZQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w THE MUSIC LAWN! But there is so much more to this little bit of Eden beyond the wine bar. Today's wine tasting was only $5, and the vintage-treats included: * Their Champagne, NOT on the tasting menu! * 2016 Verdelho * Rose of Tempranillo * 2015 Pinot Noir * 2013 Petite Verdot; and, * 2013 Cab Franc Actually, the Champagne, the Verdelho and the Rose of Tempranillo were my clear favorites, as they were light, fruity and refreshing. I just LOVE this winery the grounds are so beautiful and manicured, there wins are very delicious!! My fiancée Michele particularly love's the Rose. We have attended two of there concerts that they have there on the grounds and they were awesome, we brought our lounge chair and kicked back while sipping on a bottle of there Renegade cabernet witch is my favorite, we danced the night away. I particularity loved that Loyal the owner was there talking and mingling with his guests. Best winery I have attended in a long time. Sal

A wonderful blend that quenches your thirst!!

Beautiful Friday afternoon with a couple bottles of the blended red wine spring boards you into the weekend!!!

    Cheers :)

I decided to go to Miners Leap Winery because I received an invitation for an evening with live entertainment, catered food, and new release fall crush wines. Who in their right mind would turn an offer like that down? The Sony Blues Bland provided the live entertainment, and the food was catered by Sandra Dee's BBQ restaurant. It was a beautiful fall evening to enjoy this event under the stars. Sandra Dees was serving chicken, chopped, pork and tri tip. Naturally I chose the tri tip, which I thought would go well with a bottle of Miners Leap Res Ipsa Red. The Res Ipsa red wine is very jammy and complex. It paired nicely with the BBQ tri tip. The bouquet of this red blend was very full and the balance of tannins were delightful. I love the linger this wine left on my taste buds...warm and well rounded...there was a taste bad party going on in my mouth. The band was also very entertaining. I happen to love R & B, with preference for the blues. And Sony blues Bland plays some real Kansas City style speakeasy bluesy blues..real Kansas City style speakeasy blues...all in all, this evening at Miners Leap turned out to be just what the doctor ordered.

    How much is wine tasting?

We have a $5 and $10 wine tasting option

Are they kid friendly for tasting? Kid friendly for live music?

I would be concerned about bringing kids to Clarksburg right now..a really difficult area.

Is there food for purchase on the property?

Sometimes..during concerts..there are mobile food trucks. Not best to sneak food in.

    Are dogs allowed?!

    Yes we are dog friendly!!

Shoutout to the West Sacramento/ Clarksburg area…read more... The Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg is a historic beet sugar refinery from 1934-1993 that has wine shops and tasting rooms for local wineries. They have over a dozen wineries. Wine tastings average $15 and most wineries waive the fee if you buy a bottle. They have wine shops in the main building and in the other building. Don't forget to walk back and to the right to the shops in the separate back building, there is 3-4 more wineries. Each winery are literal walled shops with their own seating areas. Temperature controlled which is nice on hot summer days. Each have their own wine tasting, food offerings, and special events. Old Sugar Mill is less than 15 minute drive from downtown Sacramento. The buildings are beautiful. They kept the historic brick walls and exterior. It has a modern shabby chic look. Three different brands owned the refinery. It all began in 1934 with Amalgamated, American Crystal Sugar Factory (1936-1982), and Delta Sugar (1983-1993). The sugar was refined by local Northern Californian grown beets. The buildings was renovated in 2000 for its current use. Awesome concept and beautiful architecture design. They also host weddings and events. They have a banquet room with slideshow equipment. There is also an outdoor lawn and adjoining paved patio area that is shaded in the afternoon by the buildings that would make for a gorgeous wedding venue. On hot summer days, the Delta breeze kicks in for instant cool down. No outside food are picnics are allowed. On the weekends, they have food trucks. Plus the majority of the wineries sell food (appetizers) as well. Also no pets are allowed (excluding service animals). The restrooms are located right by the front entrance.

They have many events here, including private events and wedding. The upcoming event is Port and Chocolate for Valentine's Day. That sounds so delicious. I loved chocolate and my husband is always up to trying another port. Parking- They have a private lot and we were able to easily find a parking spot right in-front of the entrance. Bathrooms- They have many stalls in the bathroom located to the left of the entrance. Temperature- It's cool inside, a little too cool for us today. It was 63 degrees out today and warm in the sun. I bet in the sweltering heat of our summers this is the perfect place to be. The Sugar Mill is an indoor venue. They have three different building with different wineries at this time. So, there is a little walking outside. Wine Barrels- You can buy half wine barrels for your garden for sale. Seating- They have lots of little seating areas. Inside they have a whole room with seating and nice decor. The tables are draped in white table cloths and there are stacks of wine barrels as the back drop. They have a palm court in the back and it's so quaint and beautiful. Perfect for sipping some wine slowly and chit chatting with friends. If you are looking to sit in the sun there is are a set of tables and chairs out back near the food truck. Ambiance- I love the location and building. It's an old Sugar Mill that produced sugar from sugar beets. That industry has now ended and it's now a place to visit many wineries. It's the only place that I know of that have numerous wineries and offer wine tasing for a minimum fee.

My bridesmaids and I loved spending the morning there. It has two make up stations that had great natural lighting and is great for making tiktoks! The guys had the Airstream, which was really unique and fun, though on our 100-degree wedding day it was a bit stuffy since the AC couldn't quite keep up (which is understandable for an Airstream!). Still, it was a cool and memorable space for them to get ready in. I cannot rave about Scribner Bend enough. And it is a source of great pride to find our local, Greater Sacramento-Delta Bogle wines when we travel outside of California or USA. In fact, we were thrilled to enjoy a bottle in Shanghai, China! But we had never been to the Bogle Family Ranch and Vineyards outside of Clarksburg, CA. We finally reserved a couple of hours to visit the winery - and can't say enough good things! We enjoyed several, terrific wines not available in our local stores - such as their delicious Sparkling Rose! But more importantly, experienced a lovely afternoon on the BEAUTIFUL Bogle Family Ranch grounds! Everything around us was green and gorgeous; with cool breezes due to the surrounding water of the Sacramento River. The picnic tables were warm and inviting. The snacks were great (we brought a picnic lunch). And EVERY employee with which we spoke was excited to educate and inspire us - taking great pride in Bogle Family's six generations of Delta farming; sincere commitment to sustainability and the community; and vision of how the family plans to continue the winery's growth and international expansion, while maintaining its commitment to winemaking excellence. Every staff member that we met had been Bogle employees for over 10 years at least (a couple over 30!). I think it really says a lot about a company and family when their employees promote and compliment - even when the bosses are not in the room! While we had originally planned just a one-time visit to the Bogle vineyards, we left as Bogle Family Wine Club Members. The wine and property are lovely -- unfortunately the welcome at the door felt like an audition for "Most Judgmental Winery Greeter." When we walked in, the woman at the front greeted us with a slow head-to-toe scan before even saying hello. For context, we weren't exactly stumbling in from a river float -- Patagonia, designer black jeans, nice casual wine-country attire. My partner was dressed similarly. Completely normal for a winery visit. Since it was my first time there, I asked where we should go. She informed us -- while continuing the visual inspection -- that upstairs was reserved for more formally dressed guests with reservations. The upstairs area, by the way, was completely empty. She then told us we could "go help ourselves around the corner." The tone was less "welcome to wine country" and more "you appear to be beneath the staircase." Honestly, I've been to plenty of wineries, from casual tasting rooms to higher-end spots, and I've never been greeted with that level of instant judgment. It was oddly hostile for a place that literally sells a beverage meant for relaxing. The ironic part is that after getting past that moment, the rest of the experience was actually nice. The wine was good, the grounds are pretty, and the other staff we interacted with were perfectly pleasant. But that initial interaction? Brutal. If first impressions matter (and they do in hospitality), someone might want to let the front door know that sizing people up like a nightclub bouncer at 1am isn't exactly the warm, welcoming winery vibe most people are hoping for. Great wine. Beautiful place. One spectacularly toxic greeting.

Service: friendly, decent speed Wine club is also very accessible: no membership fee to join, with 3 tiers (4, 6, or 12 bottles), and complimentary tastings for up to 4 guests. Restroom: 2 (two) (all genders): spacious, clean. The atmosphere is what really makes this place stand out: well-manicured grounds with fragrant roses, apricot trees, a charming chicken coop area, and a beautiful open event space with hanging lights. Live music every Saturday and every other Sunday adds to the experience. They also offer private event spaces where you can bring your own food (just purchase their wine), which makes it a great spot for celebrations. Overall, a perfect little weekend escape if you're looking for a relaxed, intimate winery experience. Bonus: they even have a cozy corner dedicated to adoptable cats: each with their own name and personality profile. Currently 3 boys and 1 girl, $150 per cat.

The waitress took it back once I showed her the bottom, but it never should have made it to our table to begin with. They replaced it, but that was also disappointing. Bland & completely lacking flavor. I am glad they took it off our bill, but they've got some work to do before continuing to serve pizzas.

My friend and I were originally there for an event at i their tasting room but since we had the afternoon free I had to introduce her my favorite spot. It was the middle of a Saturday afternoon and we were able to be sat immediately. They had recently partnered with Country Roads and offered a tasting off of that menu which I consult resist since I taste Clarksburg Wine Co all the time. I was so excited and the wines lived up to my expectation. The list offered 8 wines of which I was able to pick 5 for $15. The tasting is waived if you purchase a bottle to which I bought two. We had a wonderful time enjoying the chill atmosphere and tasty wines. Very impressive as always and I can't wait to go back.

They claim to have the best Chenin Blanc and admittedly it was very good! Got a bottle of that and the Delta Rose at reasonable prices after the tastings. They appear to keep the place very clean with hand sanitizer abundantly available and have a nice large space with several tables for tastings. Chad was a great host and very knowledgeable about all of the wines that he poured for us and we got to sample several of them off the list! I would absolutely come back and visit again after the great experience I had with my friend.
