It's not easy to get a five-star from me. I'm jaded. The food here is authentic. Every bite was delicious. We had vegetarian dishes, malai kofta and mutter paneer, and they were genuinely surprisingly fabulous. They were cooked freshly, not from a pre-made pot. There are ways you can tell if it's really fresh. There are a lot of selections, and they're about 10%+ higher than the small university town we live in, and worth every darn dime. I'm seldom completely delighted, and the food here was great. The restaurant wasn't crowded on Wednesday-- and they should be. The cook is priceless. Give him/her/they a raise! I wish this wasn't my first time, or I'd recommend it without hesitation-- it was really, really good, and I'm a harsh critic. I was in the area and was looking for a good Indian restaurant and tried this place on a whim and I was very pleased! They give a daily soup during lunch, today was a vegetable corn soup. It was delicious, with good flavors without being too spicy. In fact the soup was so good that I decided to order their samosa as appetizer. The samosa's were also excellent, so many good flavors. It was served with a chutney sauce and another type of sauce. As the main entree I wanted to try something different than the typical Indian dishes that are the most common in the USA I ordered a vegetarian dish called Navratan Koorma. It's a mix of different vegetables in a creamy cashew sauce with rice and Naan bread. It was good and flavorful. The naan was bread was amazing, I've been to a few other restaurants in the area that have really unflavorful bread so this was nice. I was pretty full at the moment but felt like trying one dessert to have tried something from all parts of their menu and ordered Gulab Jamoon. An old classic, it was very good as well. It was slightly warm and freshly made and was a perfect end to the meal. The service was excellent throughout, the server gave me updates when one of the dishes were close to being ready. March 2022 I'm a big fan of lunch buffet, WHY you ask? There's an assortment of dishes that you can try, from salads to appetizers and all the way to main course, be it vegetarian or meat, and end this epic journey with some desserts (plural, of course!), so I constantly look out for places that have this option. That's when I found out this restaurant. We were a party of 4 and were seated as soon as we went in. There's parking space available right outside the restaurant and more in the lot. The buffet had a few decent options and I'd highlight the good and the bad soon. They have a proper balance between vegetarian and meat lowers; we started off with some fried vegetable pakoras, onion samosa and chicken tandoor (these were all YUM and we just couldn't stop eating these). For entrees; mixed vegetable curry and paneer curry (the paneer curry was a little sweet but tasty and the mixed vegetable curry was fantastic), gawti chicken curry and butter chicken (both of these chicken curries were MEH). They also had biryani (chicken and vegetable which we couldn't try since they were out of chicken biryani by the time we went to try some) and for deserts, they had gulab jamun (which was cold and a little hard to my liking) and halwa which I didn't try. Overall, for the price of $18.99/person, the buffet is a little expensive and I'd give this place a solid B; We thoroughly enjoyed the appetizers and had a decent run with the entrees and the garlic naan, but I'm surely gonna cut some points for the lackluster taste of the chicken entrees and the the cold and hard gulab jamun. read more

Delicious Indian food in kind of unexpected part of town. We were shopping down the street from here and didn't want to drive too far during rush hours so decided to give this place a try. Super glad we did. Both the outside and inside are not much to look at. When we first got here, there was only 1 other table besides us. This made me a little nervous wondering if the food was good or not. My concern was quickly dismissed once the food started coming out. Indian food is known for using lots of different spices, but not so much being very spicy. Not this place. We requested all our dishes (at least the ones that spicy level is adjustable lol) to be spicy, and boy were they spicy! This was the first for both of us when it comes to Indian food lol. Definitely did not expect that. We have only been here for dinner so not sure how their lunch service is, but beware that they're kinda short staff. The restaurant started to almost fill up completely right before we left, and the whole time, there was only 1 person taking order, being cashier, answering phone. He didn't have to serve food and had some help cleaning up tables, but they really needed more servers. I called once we got home to let them know I was coming back and once I got there, they told me they were out of chicken and could not provide a refund immediately. My hubby brought home Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Vindaloo to eat for dinner along with their Roti. The roti tasted like pita bread and wasn't what I expected. The chicken tikka masala on the other hand was so freaking good. They give you a great amount of chicken with curry. It was spicy but it had great flavor. Also it wasn't greasy at all. It had to be one of the best I've had in a long time. The Chicken Vindaloo was really good as well but it was super spicy. I think we found our favorite indian place since our last one closed. I have been a frequent customer of Minerva for many years now, and after visiting probably close to 10 other Indian restaurants in the north DFW area I can say they are my absolute favorite. I'm sad they haven't been able to open up the buffet yet (they said they just don't have the staffing for it, hopefully that changes soon!). I'm pretty basic in my favorites - tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, naan, green chutney, sometimes I'll get rice kheer or gulab jamun (usually almost all of these are on buffet, except naan which is brought to your table) - and they are great at making all of these so well. The woman hung up on me. She answered referring to the restaurant as "Foodistaan" I asked her if they used to be called Minerva. She said yes. I asked, " Or are you a completely different business because your address is the same." She said they're now Foodistaan. I told her there was a Yelp review for Minerva w/ three pictures of baby roaches, one that was in the Saag Paneer and asked if they have a roach problem. She said, "We don't have roaches." I asked, "But did you used to? Do you know when your last health inspection was and what you scored?" Then she hung up. I was hoping she would say something like they are a completely different and new restaurant, not associated with/ Minerva, under new management, and scored highly on their last health inspection or say something, anything to prove they have safe health conditions like they ensure their food is kept at safe temperatures, they have regular pest control services or inspections, etc. but hanging up the phone is so rude and unprofessional. Our family comes here once a week and are always very very pleased. There's an assortment of about 15 different items, all seasoned beautifully, and plenty to eat. Some of our favorites include the Tandoor chicken (deliciously seasoned and very moist), the Saag Paneer ( so very tasty), Tikki Masala Chicken (just great) and many many more (they sometimes have an okra dish and a cauliflower dish that is simply delicious). We've come before in the evening, and I must say the food is just wonderful. I've seen some reviews were people made comments about the food at the lunch buffet time, but I've eaten it at dozens of different Indian restaurants in the Dallas and Southlake area (yes we LOVE Indian food), and this is by far one of the better ones. Management is always very friendly and very attentive. When you come, be aware that they get rather busy during their lunch buffet. Was craving for some spicy Indian food late in the evening during my stay at Grapevine. Came across Minerva through google search. Popped in for a quick bite. Ordered some Kulchas and vegetable Jalfrazi. Ordered spicy instead of mild (should have known). It was spicy. The Kulcha was soft and the subzi was very spicy, but delicious. Loved it. The serving size was too much for a single diner. I had to leave a lot of food behind, mainly because I had to fly out the next morning. I wish they had smaller servings (for A la carte) so that I could try out different dishes. The restaurant was quiet, probably because I went in late. The hostess was very friendly and offered free masala chai. The best part - The bill was very reasonable - the whole dinner cost me less than a sandwich in NY. read more

We have been coming here for a little over a year and unfortunately have witnessed the decline of Minerva. On average I have to wait an additional 10-20 minutes on my pickup orders regardless how far in advance I schedule my order. Service has severely declined along with the food. I was wowed a year ago. I am having a struggle with this review. I really was leaning towards 3 stars but decided to go with 4. The food at Minerva, 5 stars. Every thing we had was excellent. The flavors, the presentation, the aroma, all superb. Why the leaning towards 3 stars then? Slow service. Yes, it was that bad. As everyone else has stated the staff is very nice, but they are on their own time. I don't know if there is only one person working the back which is why it takes forever to get the food out, but whatever it is, it needs to change. We ordered a samosa appetizer and two curry dishes. There were couples at the restaurant. We were told upfront that it would be about 20 minutes for the meal to arrive. No worries, we've got time. Because I had read the reviews about the service, I tracked how long it took b/c I was interested to see if the reviews were true. 47 minutes and 53 seconds later our samosa's arrive. So...a little more than the original estimate for the entire order. At 58 minutes our actual meal arrived. Like I said up top, the food is seriously delicious - its not the best I've ever had, but its some of the best in the area. I strongly suggest that if you're going to eat here - do takeout, and arrive 20 minutes later than they suggest because they clearly can't keep up with their current workload. Food was easily 5 stars! Some of the most flavorful Indian food that I have every had. Service was 3 stars for being pretty slow when we were there, although the staff was extremely kind and friendly. We ordered Samosas, Gobi Manchurian, Masala Aloo Gobi, and Naan bread. The samosas were perfectly fried, light and crispy. The potatoes inside were soft, and had an amazing array of spices. They made my mouth very happy! The Gobi Manchurian was a delight. Fried to perfection, just the right amount of heat, and oh so flavorful. One of the best Gobi Manchurians that I have ever had. The Masala Aloo Gobi, was really good as well. Large portion, and very full of flavor. The naan came with four slices and was delicious too. The only negative about our visit was the wait. They were short-staffed and our food took quite awhile to come out. The server apologized numerous times and was as nice as could be. We were not in a hurry so we were fine. I still believe any naan but plain isn't worth it either. Glad to have good Indian in the neighborhood. We had tikka massala, chicken korma and butter chicken - variations on the same and they were all excellent. We got both naan and rice. After 15 minutes, we asked two different people if anyone was going to take our order and just received blank looks. So we left. Also, the menu is useless. The best food I have ever eaten the garlic naan was to die for, the curry was amazing. We had to take extra home with us. I don't know what's wrong with Fort Worth because we cannot get this kind of Indian food close to us. I asked for it to be medium spice and it was just right please open one close to Burleson Texas, we need something like this or even in Fort Worth and if we are close to you again we will definitely go back if you live close to Dallas you definitely need to try this place.
