Con: "Today's" list of buffet choices not accurate, all buffet meat dishes but one was chicken and limited & boring vegetable offering choices. Chicken dishes consisted of very small meat pieces, tea was Walmart gallon premade tea where I expected Tea India fresh tea. Price high for variety and quality of buffet offer. We arrived midweek at 1:15 PM and buffet dishes were not refreshed. Best arrive closer to opening. I'm so glad we found Herbs Indian Cuisine! When you arrive there is plenty of parking in front of the building. The outside may not look like a restaurant but you'll be surprised when you walk in. As soon as you walk in the interior of the restaurant feels upscale. We stopped by during their lunch buffet which is 7 days a week @ $17.99/person. The buffet rotates each day and has several options from fruit, to tandoori vegetables/chicken, soup, rice, curries (butter chicken, paneer tikka masala, goat curry, etc.) The quality of the buffet is good, though I felt like the chicken can be a little dry in some of the dishes. We went out with our friends who are expatriating to Mexico and they suggested Herbs. It was delicious, we had the Butter chicken , cucumber salad ( mostly chickpeas ) and garlic naan. Everything was very good so we'll definitely be back. Atmosphere was casual, quiet and clean with crisp white table clothes and upholstery. What a pleasant surprise. I definitely did not expect the atmosphere nor the exquisite cuisine to come from such a quaint place. I have driven past this place countless times going to Ollies but never did I think to try the food let alone glance in this direction. Well this is NRH best kept secret. Parking is ample but the inside is small, but definitely big enough for an intimate gathering of 30 people. I haven't had the chance to try their buffet but it's on my to do list. Wow this restaurant is beautiful. Would not expect the interior from the outside which isn't to say the outside is unappealing just definitely a hidden interior gem. Warm welcome immediately upon walking in from the front staff. I chose to do the buffet which I believe is $17.99. A lot of items much more than I expected. Sampled a bit of most of the options all of it being delicious. This is definitely not as spicy as most Indian meals but it's very flavorful. Beyond the food though it's the restaurant and obvious pride they take in the food and appearance. So clean, so attentive. Cloth table cloths who does that in 2024?! It's amazing!!!!! We came here to meet a friend in the area and this restaurant was a hit! We ordered the mango lassi, samosa chat, butter paneer, tandoori chicken, cranberry naan and one of the desserts that I forget the name of but was a sweet carrot dessert. The staff was incredible. Polite and attentive, to a level that I only experience in very high end restaurants. Props to their staff! The restaurant at dinner time wasn't too busy and they were very kind to the children. I don't usually eat Indian cuisine but this place was pretty good. Since I can't pronounce many is the dishes I can only say what we tried was good. The lamb, fish, fried mushrooms were all pretty tasty. I'll have to go back and take pictures of the dishes so that I can really say what was a hit or a miss. We will be back. I met a few friends here on a Friday night and we were seated in a booth, right away. The place was very clean and the service friendly. Now, I am no expert on Indian cuisine, as I have only had it a handful of times. I will say, everything we ordered, we enjoyed. Together we all ordered the chicken vindaloo, Tikka masala, and a fish curry. The chicken dishes were ordered spicy and the fish, mild, though we all tried everything. The vindaloo was my favorite, it was also the spiciest. By a lot. That was what I was going for.The pieces of ginger on top were a refreshing aurprise. The others were very flavorful and cooked well. The rice comes out family style and was very aromatic, though I don't get the veggies in it. In all cuisines, I don't see the point in putting peas in rice. I reviewed "Herbs" three years ago and gave it 5 stars. But slowly over that time they have resorted to making shortcuts on anything involving a curry gravy (butter chicken etc). All of their curries are overly bitter, sharp, salty, metallic and spicy(but not in a pleasant way). They suffer from the same taste disfunction as a jar of butter chicken/masala that you would buy at Kroger. The naan and tandoori chicken was great. The waiter was super friendly, made great recommendations for us. We started with the spicy fish tikka; it came sizzling hot on a stone plate. The fish was very tender and it carried some heat! Also ordered the chicken momo, the fillings was excellent. We ordered a side of garlic naan, it's a must if you're ordering any kind of curry. It's the perfect bread to dip in. This review is only for the lunch buffet. Currently, that is all I've enjoyed here. Customer service was great. Staff was polite and checked on us appropriately. The buffet items were fresh and hot. This is a moderately sized buffet with plenty enough variety for both meat eaters and vegetarians. For me the standouts were the mixed vegetable pakora, curry fish, tamarind sauce, pickled vegetables, naan, and the rice pudding. The pakora was some of the best I've ever had. My hubby said the curry lamb was his top pick. He ate two full plates of it, so I have to believe it's delicious. LOL! Between the two of us, we sampled all the items on the lunch buffet. Each dish was good, but the aforementioned were a reason to return. The interior decor is very fancy and high-end styled, but all diners were dressed casually. I think they host events here occasionally which explains the lovely interior. The restaurant is pretty enough for a nice date night. The restaurant is in a strip mall, so there is lots of free parking. I took a paper menu home and noticed that they have many dishes to do a take out order that were not on the buffet. I'll try some takeout and update my review when I do. The lunch buffet is offered 7 days a week. You can also order off the main menu during buffet hours. We took the whole family and they had enough approachable options that only one kid had to have chicken nuggets (which they serve). They have a good variety of delicious food. It's thoughtfully prepared, and not oily. I've been three times, and there's been a different variety each time. One time there was fish. Today there was lamb. I haven't seen those proteins typically offered at Tandoor or Nanglo. Lots of vegetarian options. It's a bit more upscale than other Indian buffets. The interior is lovely and pleasant. The service has always been accommodating and fast. The bathroom was very clean. They serve alcohol, and have several cocktails you can choose from. This place is located in a strip mall with other stores which was a surprise for it being a highly rated restaurant. Inside however is lovely and simple. The service was polite and quiet. I was able place my order quickly. The dining room was only about a third of its capacity. I barely got this written when the food appeared. I got the chicken tikka masala and it was very good. The sauce was delicious and plentiful so I could liberally dip my naan. The chicken seemed a little dry, the manager said that was the nature of chicken breast meat but I have had more moist. But that is a little picky and overall a very good meal. They offered me dessert but I am walking distance from a highly rated ice cream place that is beckoning me. read more

I was excited for find an Indian lunch buffet near the Fort Worth area and decided to give it a shot. I was not disappointed by my decision. It's tucked away in an unassuming strip mall but the interior was clean, quiet, and bright. There weren't that many people for a Saturday lunch. They had a good selection of items in their lunch buffet and garlic Naan which comes with the lunch buffet is brought to you fresh from the kitchen. I love the Naan as it was fluffy and flavorful and not stale at all. Some of my favorite items from the buffet were the goat curry which I've never had before. It didn't have an overwhelming goat taste and the meat was chewy which I preferred. The Chicken Chilli and Veggi Pakora with is a fried veggie dish was up there as well. Service was okay and it looked like they were continuously checking the freshness of the food in the buffet which was great.
