We haven't been here in a while and thought we'd head back. Food was bland and service abysmal today and they still don't serve malai kofta anymore. They brought naan to the table when we were pretty much done eating. We waited for them to brew the chai and asked for it in to-go cups (they used to have them!) since we needed to return to work. They refused although we pointed out they didn't serve it until almost an hour after opening. Ugh. Sat there and drank it. There was only one other table and the servers were just standing around talking to each other. For better service, more food choices with better flavor in HEB, try Herb's. I really really wanted to enjoy this restaurant, unfortunately it did not meet the standards I had set for it. The complimentary papar was great, which you can't go wrong with. The papri chaat was also very good - which can be a hit or miss. So I was very much looking forward to the main course. Unfortunately the grill platter had seekh kabab that was completely inedible. It was so over cooked and dry that I took one bite and left the rest. The malai chicken was good, it was flavorful but a little bit on the dry end, and the tandoori chicken was just okay. I would recommend that a quality check is done before the food leaves the kitchen. I could tell right off the bat that the seekh kababs were incredibly overcooked. The service was great outside of our server taking quite a bit of time. Our drinks that we ordered never came out so we did have to ask again. It also took us quite a while to get the check - which I ended up asking someone else for. While the staff was all incredibly kind, with nothing but smiles, I will have to admit that our server specifically was just a little spotty. The sitar player was the highlight of the evening. Mastering the sitar is very difficult and they had an expert performing at the restaurant. I recommend that the performer has some sort of QR code presented for tips, because I would have loved to tip if I had cash. I think that this restaurant has great potential, papri chaat is difficult to make well but they did a great job. With the kind service they have, I'm hoping they can tweak a few things and continue with success. read more

Alright, I went on a limb and decided to stop by this restaurant. To start, it was very clean and the waitress was sweet and pointed me in the direction to place my to-go order. Being a new patron, I was not familiar with their menu and again, the waitress was very helpful with her suggestions. I started off with the Chicken Tikka Nachos: I was so disappointed, actually, I felt worse than disappointed. The chicken was beyond dry, and I mean, dry. I got there around the time they opened, I can only assume they were still trying to get rid of the previous days food. I dipped the chicken in the sauce that came with it, hoping that would help, it didn't. Stuffed Naan: Again, the chicken was dry. I actually was very surprised, I've never had a naan that wasn't cooked perfectly. Mango Lassi: That is the only RAVE I can give about this visit, that drink was delicious! Overall, I can't say I will not go back. I believe I chose to go at the wrong time, and chose the wrong thing. Their weekend brunch is fantastic - veggie noodles, biryani, tandoori chicken, curried goat and amazing vegetarian sides served with bottomless, hot naan. Nice choice for Indian and Nepalese cuisine in the Glade Parks area. Behind the strip mall facade lies a spacious dining room with a bar that must be 12 feet high - still not sure how they get the bottles down from the top shelf. They've got a few beers on tap, but the main attraction is the food. Several varieties of Naan bread are available to start your meal - I like the butter or garlic. Vegetarian meals are outstanding - one of my favorites is the yellow daal tanka, which they will spice to your preference. Palak Paneer and Paneer Tikka Masala are also really good, although wish they were a bit more generous with the paneer. Ordering takeout can be a bit frustrating. As far as I can tell there's no way to order online - the "Order Now" button on their website doesn't seem to function - and they don't always answer their phone. Whenever I've gotten through, though, my order has always been correct and ready at the promised time. Worth a try for Indian food lovers. read more

The food is pretty good and the service is very nice. However, the portion size is small considering the price. I had the shrimp and peppers and it seemed like a child's portion. I went to Nanglo for dinner for the first time to tonight and was not disappointed. Unfortunately they were out of lamb so I couldn't get one of the 2 dishes I had been considering, but I was able to order Butter Chicken, which is always a favorite of mine when I go to Indian restaurants. This one was excellent - one of the better I have had here in the DFW area. Next time I'll order it a bit more spicy! The ambiance was very nice, pleasant music playing softly in the background, tables candlelit. Our server was friendly & kind, helpful, and informative. There were not very many tables occupied on a Monday night & we didn't get to experience the sitar player I've read about., so next time we'll go on a weekend, order our food a bit more spicy, and hear some wonderful sitar music! We had stopped by Nanglo for dinner and were a little disappointed overall after reading all the reviews. In summary; food was OK, portions were small considering cost, and service was awful. The service- this was the most disappointing part about Nanglo- from start to finish service was not good. From getting our food ordered, to getting drinks, and even our utensils, we (and several families around us) had to flag our waitress down in order to get the ball rolling. From walking in, we waited almost 40 minutes to even get our appetizers. The only time our waitress showed and initiative was getting us our checks. The food- not great, especially considering the high price point. We had started with the Momo, which had good flavor, but the dumplings themselves were overdone and tasted rubbery. For our entrees we had gotten the clay pot sampler, which had fish, chicken, shrimp, and kebabs- the chicken and fish were flavorful, but the shrimp and kebabs were dry and overdone. We had also gotten a soup, which was supposed to have noodles, vegetables, shrimp, and chicken. It was a real shame because the soup was very flavorful, but there was only piece piece of shrimp and very few pieces of chicken. I want to give this place another chance, but our first experience was not great. read more

First time having Indian food in Dallas. Pretty good first time. Check in on yelp for a discount! They offer a flat bread when you are seated. Looks like it is fried with flax seed. Nice and tasty. We ordered their special today shrimp tikka masala, a tad sweet for my liking so I changed the flavors with a bit of hot sauce to cut the cream. I absolutely adore this location. The buffet is always a good time, and I highly recommend trying the saag paneer, garlic naan, and pakora. If you choose to dine in with the menu instead, you have to get the butter chicken. It is one of my favorite meals of all time. It comes in your choice of 5 different levels of spice and it is always so creamy, flavorful and pairs perfectly with the garlic naan and rice. One of the coolest things about this place is that they have live music on the weekends! They have a sitar player come in and he is incredible. It adds a whole different vibe to your dinner date. Service is always 10/10, all the employees are so sweet and the manager actively checks in on you if he has capacity. I proudly consider this one of my regular dinner spots. read more
