A few wins, a few misses. The really good: egg rolls and big juicy plump shrimp in shrimp with lobster sauce. The good: stir fried cabbage (a little oily but good!), wonton soup (a little salty but good), and the fried dumplings (although they steamed in the package so weren't crispy). I love this place. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff is accommodating. I highly recommend the Combo meal...a great bargain, and delicious tasting. The Combo meal comes with a cup of soup, an eggroll, rice (white or brown), and the entree. The spare ribs (boneless and regular) are VERY good, as is the Garlic Chicken. I was extremely disappointed in our recent order from Ming Feng. It was our first time there, and judging by the Web site and the size of the restaurant, we expected the food to be good. I was a little hesitant stopping at Ming Feng for lunch, given the less than stellar reviews, but we were passing by and took a chance. I'm glad we did! The food was great, the lunch prices better than most area Chinese establishments, and service was quick and efficient. Our lunch entrees were $6.05 each. Can't beat that price for an entree of your choice, which included fried wontons, hot tea, choice of soup and choice of rice. We ordered the chicken with broccoli and the chicken with cashew nuts. The chicken in both entrees was moist and flavorful. The broccoli cooked perfectly leaving a crispy bite; unlike other places where you end up with soggy broccoli doused in sauce. Do not ever order from Ming Feng chinese, we placed a big order and packed it all in one bag. They don't deliver so when we got home, we realized that 4 items were missing. The staff had the nerve to tell my mom that she was 'promised' by her staff that ALL the food was in the one bag. The nerve to give us a hard time about food missing. Now we have to drive back to get the missing items while the food will be cold when we get back. Terrible customer service, mediocre food and rude staff. Never again will they get our business! It only takes something like this to wipe out years of eating at a restaurant . We will never order from here again . Have only once eaten here before years ago. I remember it being tasteless and dry. Gave them another chance today for lunch. Walked into an empty place and was approached by an indifferent waiter. No smile or how are you. The menu had no combo that was for a vegetarian. If I wanted multiple items, I would have to buy separately at a great cost, or convince my husband to order what I liked. I decided to go for a shrimp combo. Waiter arrived and got impatient since my husband wasn't ready, so left. ( again, the place was empty) We waited quite a while then finally called him over. I asked if I could get veg fried rice instead of pork. He said no, told me to buy separately. I said that would be costly. My husband said most restaurants will substitute. No he said. So we apologized and decided to leave. He said we need to pay for table. We said ok how much are the noodles? He got annoyed and as we were walking towards register, he was mumbling the words jackass, don't come back etc My husband turned and said 'What did you just say to me? Don't be a smart ass." The lady behind counter told my husband not to talk like that. I could see my husband getting upset so I told him go outside. I tried paying for 'table/noodles' but she said just go. Nasty! We haIve been eating here and using take out for years. I give Ming Feng kudos for staying open for take out during the pandemic, however in the last 2 months, I have noticed the food is not as good as it was. I am not sure if they have changed chefs, or downgraded the quality of ingredients, but in any case, there is difference in the taste over my past few visits; actually, there is no taste and is bland. I hope Ming Feng goes back to preparing food with taste and quality ingredients, or they will lose a customer. read more

Solid choice for Chinese food in Monroe. Very consistent and reasonably priced. Staff is always extremely friendly when we stop in. Everything I have had there is delicious with one exception... the General Tsos Shrimp is not what you'd expect, VERY heavily breaded so beware. Other than that... all good, so far! read more

Have been a fan of Ming Feng for nearly 4 years. Hadn't been there for several months but learned that the restaurant was under new ownership. Decided to return for lunch today. There were two of us. The seating area is no different, rather dark and gloomy although the booths are relatively comfortable. The food is another story. We both had hot and sour soup. Very unlike the past ; it was watery, not very tasty, spicy nor fullbodied as it had been previously. The other person agreed with me about the soup. I chose the combo dish, consisting of the soup, an egg roll and shrimp in garlic sauce. The roll was less tasty compared to my last visit. The shrimp dish was ok, not as palatable as past experiences and not, at all, spicy as printed on the menu. Service was adequate by a mild mannered, pleasant server. My companion had mei fun with pork, a " luncheon special ". His dish was good but not as tasty as at other Asian restaurants. All in all, in my humble opinion, they've drifted down to 2 stars (from 5). I will be searching for other Asian/Chinese restaurants to try. read more

This is your Standard Chinese restaurant in a strip mall which is Very very typical with no taste food. They forget to give you part of the order never apologize never compensate just terrible owner. Food is really bland over cooked and tasted old! They cater to a very senior crowd apparently that have dietary restrictions! Dry,tough BBQ spareribs that not so much fell from the bones but had to be forcefully gnawed off in bark like strips with the additional risk of losing an incisor and incurring massive dental bills. Double sautéed pork that had a overwhelming abundance of cabbage but a noticeable deficit of both pork and flavor in a sauce that can best be described as "brown Wok water".
