My family has been coming here for a few years now and it looks like Ming Wah regularly improves their buffet selection! Super happy with their new ice cream flavours! TIP#1: Seniors get 10% off TIP#2: Sit closer to the far back for more shade & cooler temperature. Overall, there was a vast selection of 'typical' Chinese fast foods, some American foods (like ribs, fries, etc), a sushi bar, desserts, and a salad bar. After tasting a lot of their dishes, here's a list of the good & not-so good. DO TRY -general Tao chicken -fried white fish -grilled shrimp -teriyaki salmon -fried chicken wings -green tea ice cream and the pink-orange frozen yogurt? Just had lunch here today at 11:45am, just after they opened. Everything was fresh and hot. They have 3-4 soups, dim sum...hakow, siu mai, and couple steamed buns. California roll section, salad section and I think 3 steam tables with good variety of seafood...shrimp, scallops, squid, mussels, fish... Also have chicken and beef dishes, French fries, no onion rings. Green beans, broccoli and beef...Desert table with various assorted selections. Service was fast and efficient with water refills, napkins and used plate clearing. The restroom was clean and tidy. Overall for the price, on the high side but you get a wide variety and selection of food that is of more than reasonable quality. Would recommend this establishment to everyone...and will return...just remember to come soon after opening to get freshest and hottest food. read more

Best Chinese buffet I have been to in the Windsor area. Great service, great selection. Good for large groups also. Dinner was $22.95 Sunday. Only thing I did not care for was they do not accept debit. read more

Went on a family dinner and This isn't the place to spend your money, there rice is no taste, like nothing, There soup is OLD and the best thing they had was there grilled shrimp and it was good. Nothing tastes fresh Sushi was EeGh! Costumer service wasn't good, EvErytime you ask something or talk to them, they look annoyed and in a rush to finish up the conversation, and wouldnt ask at all if we were done with the plates, they would just take them, one of which I was still eating from!! I went to Ming Wah Buffet a lot when I was a kid for family reunions and birthdays. The chef changed a lot and the staff got a bit ruder? The food used to be fresh, tasty, and a lot of people would keep going back up for more. I struggled to snatch some onion rings, oysters, etc. Now? Well they added the sushi bar so that's an improvement but the rest of the food? Not fresh. Even if there's a full house (I don't know how but there is) there's not a lot of people racing to get some food. I go there when my dad wants to go. I wouldn't go there by my choice. I've been to Ming Wah a couple of times, and really enjoyed the food. They have a lot to offer at a good price. I really liked the sweet and sour balls, salads, rice, and sushi. I found that most of the food does not look very appetizing. My first time at Ming Wah, the ice cream was all melted, the jell-o was hard and not fresh, and the vegetables had a bad taste. My second time there wasn't as bad, but there was still a lot of food that nobody wanted to touch. The biggest downside was that we felt very rushed to pay and get out. I went there a week ago with my sistes since we hadn't been there for a long time and their food was terrible. I'm naturally not that picky, but everything just tasted bland, dry and just oily. The only good thing was their mint icecream. Even their fruits looks like it been out for a long time. Their dessert was dry; like it had just been there for a long time. It had lost its moisture. Don't get me wrong their waiters were nice and it was nicely decorated but the food was the downfall. My sister wanted a straw since she doesn't really trust drinking right from a glass cup and the waiter gave her the straw but it had no wrappers or anything. The lady held the straw with her bare hands and expected my sister to drink from it. You don't know where her hands had been or what she had touched prior. I went here and the prices are pretty good. The Rice is really dry and taste gross. They are soya sauce is gross. They don't put labels on some of the food so you don't know what it is. The only good thing that I ate was the deep-fried shrimp. read more

The new owner (Filipino) unfortunately can't carry the great quality of food that this Chinese buffet used to offer. I haven't seen the two Chinese owners around for a very long time. I have been to this place twice, and both times I have gotten sick. This place reeks with bacteria and germs. The food is awful, not appetizing, not fresh. The staff is rude and watch you like a hawk. Seriously spend your hard earned cash somewhere else! read more

While it is no Mandarine, this is a very good buffet. The sushi is fairly good for a buffet, I appreciate that they have a decent variety. All-in-all, it is your standard buffet, slightly larger selection than average. Quality is par or better. I really enjoyed their Shanghai noodle. read more

Where do I start.... if you are looking to fill yourself up with a variety of food this is a good place. The quality of the food however is not good. My main issue is how un clean they are. They use the same colorful plates for the past decade (as it was a popular restaurant my parents would take us since i was young). In fact, I always inspect my glass, utensils, and plate to check that there is no leftover food.. Not to mention that creepy sign they had displayed on each table stating "to preserve the quality of our food please do not waste food" uhm.. what does that mean exactly ? My wife and I have been here twice in the past month. We both have enjoyed the quality, taste and variety of the food, and the friendly waitresses and the welcoming maitre d lady with the beautiful smile. POSITIVE: We've always been seated quickly. All-you-can eat sushi is also a plus if you enjoy sushi. The staff are very friendly. NEGATIVE: If you arrive at the wrong time, the food isn't fresh. The staff are friendly but not always super attentive. You also have to pay for a soda on top of the buffet price. I feel like it's really too pricey for the amount of food I eat, especially on the weekends. The crab legs are not very good and the bit of 'extra' seafood and the other dishes they offer isn't worth the raised price. BOTTOM LINE: Offers good, not great, food at what seems to be the going rate for Chinese buffets in Windsor. ADVICE: Go during the dinner hour and fill up on prawn skewers! read more

My husband and I just got home from our first visit to Ming Wah and we were very satisfied. The food was good, the staff was friendly and we didn't feel rushed. The only reason I went with 4 stars instead of 5 is that I'm a big fan of chicken and I didn't see any chicken skewers or fried chicken like I usually get at the Chinese buffet we frequent in another city. read more

Went to ming wah for lunch last week and NEVER again !!!!!! I don't know what happened to this place or it has new management BUT it was very dirty !!!! As I was eating my meal I had occasion to look up at the lights and the light grates looked like they were never cleaned, Heavy dust and grime hanging down from the grates and the air vents were even worse !!!!!
