After some beginning exercises, you get to pick whatever you want to paint. I have never seen anyone leave with a bad painting. I don't even know how Tom does what he does, but he manages to coax the best out of every student. I've been going for three years now. I had never taken painting lessons before. I'm always surprised by how good my paintings look. My classmates have all created really excellent work. Some of my fellow students are art teachers. Some are art students putting together portfolios. Most of us are just hobbyists. The classes are de-stressing and fun. They always go too fast, even though they are 3 hours. I highly recommend these classes for anyone who has ever wanted to paint. I can't speak for the other classes, but there other types of art taught like sculpture and fashion design. The work I've seen from those students is really terrific too. I'm no Monet, but I've included three photos of my work so you can see what to expect in the way of results. Some of the mixers were pre-poured, and others we poured ourselves. The instructors walked us through the entire process, even how to properly shake a shaker. I didn't think we'd need an in-depth tutorial on that, but we definitely did because spills happen. Lol. The drinks were very tasty. I do wish there had been a bit more instruction on adjusting sweetness levels. They offer different classes at the studio, including candle-making, body butter, perfume, and mixology classes. They offer tons of classes (blacksmithing and other crafts like leatherwork and welding), as well as studio time along with your sessions to come back and practice. I had a little trouble with the heat so I think I'll need to wait until things cool down again to give blacksmithing another try, but I can't wait to come back and try knife-making!
