We have enjoyed the food at Mini Mango in the past so decided to pick some up some take out on our way home tonight. I gave my order to the woman at the counter, repeated it and pointed it out on the sign. I ordered the Lemongrass Coconut Chicken and my husband placed his order. We drove the 20 minutes home and sat down to eat, his order was correct, mine was wrong. I tried what I received and didn't like plus the chicken was really dry. I called the restaurant to ask if I could take it back and the woman on the phone told me I got what I ordered. I asked again if I could bring it back and get what I ordered and she told me once again that I got what I ordered and that was the end of it. We won't be back! read more

As per our phone conversation, you insisted I had to return the sauce. Which was wrong in the first place, by the next day. I informed you I was in the far westend but you obviously didn't understand why I wouldn't travel across town for the $5 refund and return the sauce within 2 days. A touch pricy once you factor in the amount of food you get and the gas used to get there, but totally worth the extra 10 minute drive south after venturing to IKEA. Their fish sauce is fresh and not too 'pungent', the spring rolls are nice and crispy, and the lemongrass chicken has that perfect amount of char on it. (I usually opt for the two colour vermicelli bowl.) Don't be afraid to eat in - the decor is modern and the dining experience is very laid back, so you can get your food, pick and table, and do your own thing without being bugged by a server. I love Mini Mango! I often order from here for myself and/or my nephew when I babysit. I love the 3 color bowl-you get so much food for a really fair price. I always get beef, chicken and spring rolls. Their kids meals come in a mini version with an onion cake which happens to be my nephew's favorite. I usually call for pick up when leaving work, in the time it takes to drive over (about 15 minutes) the food is ready-always hot and delicious! read more

I went to Mini Mango for the first time a few days ago. I ordered the Saté Skewers (Chicken) and Pho Chay. The service was fast and friendly, the food tasted excellent and was served at the appropriate temperature, and the price was pretty good for the portion size. Not sure why this store got high score. We ordered noodle for their top one on the menu and a spicy one. Few beef in the bowl and the spicy noodle made by instant noodle and all broken piece. We also ordered the one coke, but fill too much water in their machine and the taste is weird. And the kids' meal is put into a very small bowl, and probably it only can feed a 2 year old kid. Btw, their price is higher than other Pho too. The worst thing is all of us got diarrhea after 2 hours....Actually the one Pho called Pho Hoa is much better than theirs, you guys can give a try and compare. read more

I've gone here a couple of times since I live in the area. Tried the pho once and never again. The broth tastes like water with no flavour. Otherwise tried the coconut broth soup and the hot and sour soup both tasty but lack the seafood it's supposed to have in it but are smothered in largely sliced vegetables. On the other hand the viet subs are good but from reading the other reviews they've been cheap on the fillings lately which I would much rather go somewhere else and get better sandwiches for a cheaper price. All in all they need to step up their food or lower their prices. read more

I eat here frequently! They have great Vietnamese/Thai food! The also have several gluten free options! The mango salad is pretty good! I ate here last night and had the Thai red curry with the coconut rice. Really good flavor! They also have lots of vegetarian options well so there is something for almost anyone! The people are really nice and friendly! They also have take out and if you phone ahead it alway ready when you get there basically walk in and walk out! They can also cater for large groups? The company I work for ordered from here and they were great to work with! They also rent the hot pans as well! It is a smaller place so it might not be great for large groups! I usually go to this place on weekly basis. My wife likes the Tom yum soup. I went for a take out today and ordered Tom yum to go. Food was prepared promptly and I picked up the food and left. When my wife opened the lid of the container she found different type of soup, believe it was won ton. I drive 15 minutes to return the food and politely mentioned that they gave me the wrong soup. The response from the sever was pathetic. I was expecting an apology but none received. They were adamant that I ordered what they packed. I was asked to pay the difference, seems like the one the packed for me was 1.98 cheaper, which I paid. Business needs to work on the customer service and communication. Food is good so I will keep on going back but I was bit disappointed today. read more

After reading the reviews from Yelp, I decided to give it a try. It is more like a fast food restaurant. You order at the counter, but the staff will bring you the food. When I desperately need Vietnamese food and want take out this is the place I go. The vermicelli bowls with wok fried vegetables rather than grilled is a good bet. The pho soups are not to the quality of the more authentic Vietnamese restaurants in the area. I really enjoy their spring rolls with rice paper outer wraps. This makes the spring rolls extra crispy. Try to order ahead or you will need to wait 15 mins at lunch hour. The prices here are about 25% too high in comparison to most Edmonton Pho places. Lunch normally costs me $15 plus without a drink. read more

The food is absolutely divine. Their Pad Thai comes with a great portion, good for two sittings! It's also ideal that it already comes with chicken and prawns. The menu is quite versatile as it evidently explains their gluten free options, extra spicy or vegetarian choices. The location is fairly small as it does not accommodate a large group. However, it's great for take out as the quality of flavours stays consistent. Their peanut sauce for the Vermicelli is a bit of water downed than other Vietnamese restaurants as I do enjoy a stronger, thicker peanut sauce. The food is pretty good I've had better Pad Thai in Nyc. But it's a good compromise. I've ordered delivery a few times it's a bit expensive considering the amount of food you're actually getting. I just moved nearby and I really wish my experience was more positive! I ordered the Pad Thai and the coconut seafood soup. The flavours were definitely there but I was taken aback by the lack of meat in both dishes. The pad thai had 3 small chunks of chicken and 3 shrimp. The soup had 2 pieces each of mussels and shrimp. The serving sizes were otherwise great but my leftovers will only be good once I cook up my own chicken and shrimp... I'll probably return, but I'll stick to vegetarian dishes! read more

We have been going to mini mango since it first opened and love it every time! The food is incredibly consistent and the staff is very friendly. We go there often and some of the staff remember who we are and what we order which is nice too. I love Mini Mango. The restaurant is really small so I would recommend getting takeout for that reason. When it gets busy the lineup can go all the way to the outside door and can leave you feeling pretty cramped if you are eating in. I really appreciate the vegetarian options at minimango. The peanut soup is amazing. Super spicy and super delicious. Their green onion cakes are flakey and beautiful some of the best in the city. The only thing I wouldn't recommend from this place is the Bhan Mi. Definitely not the best in the city and left me disappointed but that's okay because everything else on their menu is delicious. read more

My wife had her usual Vermicelli Bowl and spring rolls she orders whenever we eat Vietnamese and she equated it to the very best she's had. She ate it quite quickly and exclaimed that she was very full. Success I'd say. I ordered the Tom Yum See Fuut (Thai Hot and Sour Seafood Soup) and it was delightful. Sour? Yes! Hot? Yes! And enough see food and veggies to call it a meal. Portions were standard, which with this cuisine means very large. Our daughter had a cold so we ordered her the Pho Ga (Chicken Noodle soup) and she loved it. The venue is quite small, but clean and cozy. The service was excellent, greeting us warmly and handing us a menu. Brought a smaller bowl for our daughter, packaged our food and promptly but not rudely interrupting to grab our dishes. We arrived at 7:30, they closed at 8 and let us enjoy our meal. Overall a very pleasant experience and a very filling and nutritious and fresh meal. read more

Mini Mango is a great Vietnamese restaurant, that also offers some delicious Thai dishes. The Mango Salad along with the Tom Yum soup are my favourites! I also recommend the Red Thai Curry, and the Pad Thai. We get takeout from here quite often, as it is usually the only take out place that we can agree on when we feel like Asian food. read more
