Five stars all the way! I have never encountered such professionalism and competency before in a business. I have had many challenging experiences at repair shops with my mini Cooper. In the end, they left my car in a state that was only fit for the junkyard. Edmond revived my car and has it running great for an incredible price. (1/6 the price of the dealer!) I had an absolutely fantastic 1st experience here. Edmond was super helpful with his time, support and knowledge. I had bought a used 2007 R56 and had been back to the used car dealer where I got it, my local mechanic and The local Mini dealership. I had 3 different (and expensive) suggestions after evaluations. Mini World is the world's last honest car shop. Every time I stop into an auto shop, a mechanic is trying to evoke fear that my car's timing chain is off or that my radiator is leaking and my engine could blow up if I continue driving. All I wanted was an oil change man... Not this place. I checked my oil levels, radiator levels, and brake fluids before coming. They never hustle me, the three times I've been here. This time, my timing chain really was busted and the metal pieces did go into the engine valves so I knew exactly what needed to be fixed. Edmund and his crew didn't try to upsell me. I researched that the timing chain kit costs around 2200-3000 with labor. I don't know how they charged me $950 and included an oil change. The job was done in 1 day! The other places and dealership usually finished in a week and would try to tell me I needed other things fixed. This place always answers the phone, it's like they never take a break. A true gem in this not so mini world of fraudulent auto shops. read more

After getting the run around and paying for things that never got fixed correctly from my old mechanic I was recommended to Mini World through another Mini repair shop for a 6 speed conversion for my "known problematic" troubled factory original 5 speed transmission. The whole transmission swap was done in two days and my mini is fun to drive again. The shifts are solid and smooth and now I gained a overdrive gear and better gas mileage. I also asked him to go through the car and tell me what it needs and got all the little things that were causing frustration fixed. The ac blows cold once again not just slightly cool, door locks that went funky one day now work as designed and it runs like a top, squeaks stopped and drives like new. I highly recommend mini world. The owner is knowledgeable and his crew are young but experienced. If he's doing a job and sees what could be a future issue that could leave you by the side of the road he picks up the phone and let's you know the issue. Much easier to fix while it's apart then to learn the hard way waiting for a tow truck wising you had done it earlier. Mini World is now my go to shop to fix both my Minis. Ed is THE BEST and MOST AFFORDABLE mechanic you will find! He will save you so much time and money compared to other mini mechanics. I took my 2008 mini coop to Ed after taking it to two different mechanics AND mini coop Irvine who could NOT fix my car from randomly shutting off. I was paying over and over and over again for these so called "professionals" to fix my mini. After my car had been in and out of shops for the past 3 months I finally found Ed. He correctly diagnosed my car the FIRST time and at a fraction of what mini coop Irvine was trying to charge me! Im SO THANKFUL for Ed at Mini World HE IS THE BEST!!! I was referred to Mini World by my Mechanic to figure out my Key Fob issue. Edmond diagnosed and fixed it and now I can actually open and lock my doors remotely. Then I ordered and replaced my broken Antenna Base. I also replaced my dried out left and right front Windshield Cowl Covers. Then, who knew that you have to register a new battery. I replaced my battery myself and did not know it needed to be registered. Edmond hooked up the computer and registered for me. The Prices were great and the Service is top notch. I was referred to Mini World & it's guru proprietor Edmund on 8/25/17 by another mechanic. I dropped off my treasured 02 Cooper S early the following morning. Edmund & his team greeted me & immediately started doing a complimentary diagnostics on my vehicle. It was determined that the head gasket was blown (which two previous mechanics in two different cities had concluded). Edmund explained to me my two options & I decided to go with the package deal of a completely new (low mileage) engine, new clutch, lower bushings & control arm. I was advised as to what the price would be, the amount of time to replace & repair items as well as the post-repair warranty. Mini World is off the beaten path & most definitely worth the adventurous trek from wherever you reside! Upon picking up my car today 9/2/17, Edmund went over the fianl invoice with me, explained specifically what was done under the hood & beneath the car & he gave me pointers on how to further maintain & sustain top performance from my car. Do you drive a Mini? Is it out of warranty? Then you must, MUST, go to Mini World. But it's so far away and in the middle of nowhere, you say. True. But I don't know if I trust anyone other than the dealer working on my Mini, you say. Okaaaaay. Go get in your car. Drive to the bank. Withdrawal a few thousand dollars in cash, give or take a thousand. Get back in your car, get on the freeway and start tossing cash out of the window. That's what you might as well do if you go to the dealer. You are LITERALLY throwing money away. The dealer will try to scare you and say that a regular mechanic will use inferior parts. And you won't get the 2-year warranty. This is b.s. and you shouldn't fall for it. As I mentioned in my previous review, I've been lucky and haven't had any problems with my Mini. Until last week when my stupid clutch went out. Nick Alexander quoted me $3,000-$4,000. UM. SERIOUSLY??? I remembered Mini World, so I had the car towed there instead. The repair took a day and a half. And most importantly, it cost about 1/3 the price quoted by Nick Alexander. I picked it up this morning and it feels great. It comes with a 1-year warranty on parts and labor. Edmond also saved the old parts to show me how it had worn out. That's something mechanics are supposed to do, but rarely do. After a nightmare with Universal City Mini, Mini World has been a dram come true! First off, they don't charge any fees for a diagnostic, which I love! And the guy is always really straightforward about what needed to be done to the car and the urgency. When I had taken the car to the dealership they couldn't tell me what exactly the issue was but recommended about 3k in work, that they said would fix it. Mini World figured it out in about 15 mins for $250. I'm so happy to have found my new mechanic! read more

I've been here 3 times for oil changes in my R56. Each time I've received exceptional customer support and they always take great care of my car. When I get my oil changed I ask them to not reset the service counter. I do this because I change my oil at the 7500 mile mark instead of Mini's recomended 14k. I'm still under my complimentary service so Mini will change my oil for free every 14k. Basically I pay for one, Mini pays for one, I pay for one, and so on. Last time they reset the counter out of habit but told me that if Mini would not change the oil in 7.5k miles for free to bring it back and they would. I didn't get it in writing or anything so I assumed I would be out of luck when I went back 6 months later. To my surprise, when I returned they honored their prior verbal promise and I received a complimentary oil change for their slipup. The point here is that they run an honest and reliable business. And I will continue to come here as long as I own my Mini! read more

These guys are amazing, life savers! I had originally taken my mini to Minitek because I had an oil leak, they barely looked at my car and quoted me $550+ telling me I need to replace my oil pump solenoid. I decided to bring it to Mini World for a second opinion. After carefully looking at my car, they found the actual cause of my oil leak which only cost me $55 bucks! I would highly recommend this place to anyone with a Mini Cooper. Their staff is very attentive and took the time to actually look at my car and explain to me what was wrong before quoting me a price. I will only be taking my car here from now on! read more

This was the first time I'd veered off from my regular mini mechanic but I moved to LA and was looking for a place closer to home. Whaddya know. A place in my neighborhood and all 5 star reviews?! FATE! I didn't make an appointment because I wanted to check the place out (my car is my baby and you don't drop off your baby to just anyone). The guy at the front desk (owner) was super cool. I told him what issues I had been having with my car. He took a look at the car himself, explained what was going on and then told me to call another place to get the work done for free. Whaaaaat? Well, apparently the issue was still covered by warranty. So he told me exactly who to call and what to say. Well, long story short, the owner turned out to be such a cool, genuine guy, I decided to get my oil changed while I was there. Cheaper than my last mini mechanic, fast, and great attitudes by the entire staff. I've decided to make Mini World my new shop! They've definitely earned this customer. read more

So I'm new to this location. I like that it's so close to home, but I get this feeling that they don't care for women customers. Reason being is that I've been there twice. Looking for specific parts. Actually 3 times. 1st time the guy was helpful. 2nd time he was in a hurry to go home. 3rd time a different guy helped me. I was put on a list to be called for specific parts. I don't know. I could be wrong. Of course I have nothing to compare it to because there were no other customers. I hope I am wrong. I guess I was just looking for a little more customer service. I mean the reviews are great. I guess I was just expecting a little more urgency. Especially when I have money in hand. It's rough being a woman in need of automotive services. Over the years since I bought my 2005 Mini hardtop, I've paid plenty of mechanics too much to leave hoses unconnected and caps unscrewed, setting up another expensive set of repairs. Enter Edmond - and not a moment too soon! I wish I had found this place years ago, but here is what happened when I finally did: Edmond did a thorough assessment of what needed to be done and got back to me quickly with a very reasonable estimate of the cost of the service and parts. He clearly explained to me in layman's terms what I need to do to keep my beloved little car running smoothly. He got the work done going into the holiday weekend so I would have my car for the holiday. He was polite, respectful, and to the point on everything. The car is running well, and I feel confident about driving to my further gigs in it. Mini World is worth the drive out to Sunland. I will definitely be returning. So I came back again as my EML light up. It was cause by a bad throttle body and I canvas around for price and only Edmond gave me a reasonable price. It was $250 with a warranty.Fast forward two months later and EML light lite up again. I made an appointment and Mini World replace the throttle body at no cost. I was referred to this place by another mechanic that promised me a part they didn't have. I was stressed out, angry, and trying to fix a car that I needed to sell the next day. Thank you to Edmond, who ended up saving me twice in 24 hours. The first time, someone had stolen one of my custom side mirror caps and I needed to fix the situation before selling the car. Both the dealership and another parts place failed me, giving me replacement parts that didn't fit my model. I was referred to Mini World, where Edmond dropped the work he was doing and replaced both of the side mirrors for cheaper than the price of buying one new cap. He is very to the point and honest and gets the job done. The very next day, I wound up at Mini World again. Less that 4 hours before I was supposed to trade in my car, the latch on the back door broke. No reason, no warning. The dealership said it was an electrical issue and quoted thousands (yes, thousands) to repair. I went to Edmond for a second opinion. He again dropped what he was doing to help me, knowing I was on a time crunch. He installed a new latch and charged me 70 bucks. He also took the time to advise me on what to expect for my trade in value and how not to get screwed over by the dealership. Thank you to Edmond. I can't recommend this place highly enough, and I've already text all my friends with Minis to pass along his info. I have a 2002 Automatic Mini Cooper with over 100,000 miles. All of the sudden my transmission broke. I towed it to my mechanic, and he said a rebuilt transmission would be $8000 not including labor. WHAT?! My car is only worth about $6000, so how does that make sense? I decided to sell it for parts, and get a new car. Thankfully before I did that, my dad got on Ebay and found Mini World. After a short phone call, Edmund said he could do everything for under $4000. EVERYTHING! So of course we sent it in, and 3 days later I was back on the road. Not only did they fix my transmission, but they replaced some broken mounts, my radiator which had a crack, and my breaks that were wearing thin. And I just paid for parts because they were taking the car apart anyway to get to the transmission. I am SO thankful for Mini World. They saved me SO much time and money, and my car drives better than it did when I got it. I can't reccomend enough. I'll be a customer for life. read more

I can not give Mini World more than 2 stars, here's why. I purchased 2 things from Edmond and both items, a sun-roof cassette and a hand-brake cover, I've had to do the logistical work that they were supposed to do. It's not my job to continuously call to make sure that these items I paid for were shipped; especially when Edmond said that said items were shipped. At 2:30pm I called Mini World and Edmond claimed (without any doubt) that the sun-roof cassette was on the truck and on its way to my guy for install. It never showed up. Instead, my installer calls me to tell me that Edmond never shipped it. To Edmonds defense, he called to tell my installer that the cassette was defective and can't be installed, however, Edmond placed the call an hour AFTER I called to check on the shipping. Did he ship it like he without any doubt said he did? No. It eventually arrived late 3 days later. The other item I ordered was never shipped....period. Edmond said he shipped it on 2 occasions. Each time Edmond acted as though it was 100% for certain on the truck and on its way to my installer. Never showed up because it was never shipped. I had finally had it. I called Edmond today at 9am. He still acted as though it was shipped until I told him to reverse the charge for the hand-brake cover. Without even missing a beat or asking why, he said "okay, I need your card number". He NEVER SHIPPED IT! So why did I not give him less than 2 stars? Because the prices are unbeatable. Now I know why his prices are unbeatable...I feel that since I've been doing all the logistics I must be getting the "employee price". read more

Love these guys! Especially Edmond. Went through a really rough patch where my oil wasn't filtering through the head of my engine, due to the make and model of my Mini (2009 Convertible.) Bought it used from MINI Universal. Fast forward months of back and forth between Pep Boys and MINI Universal trying to figure things out, nothing was getting solved. Nowhere else to turn, I was referred to Mini World and haven't had any headaches since. Edmond welcomed me and bestowed upon me a new engine and a 1 year warranty for a reasonable price. We stopped by Mini World in Sun Valley on the way home to the SF Bay area. My R56 Mini had a missing power fold mirror cap. The Staff at Mini World are very courteous and knowledgeable. They found a solution for my missing power fold mirror cap and had it installed within 15 minutes ! Wow ! These guys are a great !
