I brought my car to Mini Corsa this morning for a scheduled brake service. I arrived on time at 8am, but I was finishing an important and unavoidable Zoom meeting in my car and needed more time before I could hand over the keys. The business looked very slow when I got there and there were no other customers when I showed up. While I was still on the meeting, I was approached and gestured to as though I was late. I politely indicated that I would be off in a few minutes. When I finished and went inside, I apologized and explained that I had been on a Zoom meeting that I could not simply disconnect from. Unfortunately, instead of just moving forward with the service, I was chastised for not getting out of the car sooner and for not "disconnecting Bluetooth" and bringing the keys in immediately. The tone was unnecessarily confrontational, particularly given that I had apologized and was only delayed by a few minutes. I understand that shops have schedules and that appointments matter. But customer service matters too. I did not feel comfortable leaving my car after the way the interaction was handled, so I chose to leave and have the work done elsewhere. I can't comment on the quality of their mechanical work because I ultimately did not have the service performed. My review is specifically about the customer-service experience. read more

I've actually known about Minicorsa for quite some time and have been fortunate to be able to do most maintenance myself or had friends that could lend a hand. We were running errands a few Saturday's ago when my wife's Mini started to shake a bit and the instrument cluster lit up like a Christmas tree. Quickly turned on the hazards while I tried to make sense at what was wrong. Shut off the car and started it right back up which reset most of lights minus the CEL and low battery light. Though it was hella hot, decided to turn off the ac where the low battery light shut off. Limped my way home and hooked up obd2 reader. Quick search on the forums and came to conclusion that the crank pulley finally failed. Reached out to Danny and though he was on vacation, he suggested I tow the car in the following Monday. Danny was at the shop early and performed a quick visual inspection where he pointed out a few lingering issues I've been procrastinating on resolving. The worst part is that I swapped out the axles with a friend a month prior and sadly discovered the driver's side kept popping out and the passenger side already developed a hole (never buy non oem parts. I have been having a hard time locating a decent, honest mechanic for my 2003, 325i. Since my car is from the mid-west, it has a bunch of rust on the bottom which freaks out the mechanics here in LA. Long story short, I had a leak in my brake lines. The hydraulic lines run from the back to the front of the car. I took my car to a few places to see if they could replace the lines. Some places wanted to charge me a fortune, while some did not have the experience or some places were so busy that they did not have the capacity to take my car. All in all, Minicorsa was recommended by another shop and I had my back against the wall so I decided to go here. At first, I was not too sure but I also had no option. The owner called me and informed me that he could not replace the entire line but could fix the issue by adding a compression fitting which would do the trick. I gave him the go-ahead and he called me the next day and the work was done. It's been 3 weeks and the car is holding up. I am happy with the work. I just cannot find a decent mechanic who knows how to fix BMW around the Burbank area. I need a hundred shops but I am not sure they can fix something out of the ordinary. I understand people never like coming to a mechanic since they have to fix their car and they end up spending money but I would like to find someone I can depend on and know is honest and does a great job. I guess it's too much to ask. I wish I could beam my mechanic from the mid-west over here when I needed his services. read more
