He's been brought to court for this changes the company name and starts again. We started a project with Brendan Kurtz who is the owner of the local company Celina Concrete (now known as Chicago Decorative Flatwork) in Sept 2021. We agreed upon concrete patio extension with overlay as well as side yard work. It is now February 2022 and we are still left with a mess and out thousands of dollars. Brendan and his crew failed to get the overlay and new concrete to match multiple times over the course of 3 months. We were patient and understanding as he continued to move on to other projects and would stop by when he had a lull in schedule - all while asking for final payment multiple times. (Mind you, by this point we had already made 3 payments to him). By December, he even sang a sad song about how he would have to close his business after he completed our project and another. Brendan hired an outside company to come sandblast our patio in order to start fresh again with the staining and sealing. This is the last we have heard or seen of him. We are now left with an unfinished patio with ruined overlay, ruined sod that he claimed he would replace, and stuck trying to find another company that can fix his mess. Instead of "closing his business", Brendan has now changed his company's name to Chicago Decorative Flatwork and continues to post new projects. He has also failed to respond to our report with the Better Business Bureau. We have given him plenty of time to do right by us, but alas - he is choosing to look the other way. I hope this post helps someone steer clear of a company who has caused us so many issues.

Our company was contacted by All Hands on Deck (AHOD) to perform repair work at a Kohl's in Tucson,…read moreArizona. We completed the requested service work and submitted a quote for additional permanent repairs. Despite repeated follow-ups since September 2024, our invoice for the initial service remains unpaid. We used their official work order numbers, documents, and IVR system, and our communication with them was consistent throughout the process. After the quote was declined, we were informed that internal issues within their company may have affected payment processing for certain vendors. We have documentation of these interactions, including recorded calls, but as of today, our invoice remains unresolved. Based on our experience, I would advise other vendors to request payment up front.
