Loved it. Great beers and fun atmosphere. The Oktoberfest was particularly tasty. We got 2 flights so we could try all of the beer selections. Bartender was cool. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Also, a mini museum. Lots of interesting merch. read more

It's hard to ignore the political implications of a micro-brewery that makes Biden Beer, AOC IPA, Mandela Mash, Bernie Brew, Tammy Shandy, Ever's Ale, ,la, Fair Maps IPA and "Choice" hard seltzers. Many will trash a business like this in their reviews strictly on the basis of their politics. Others will praise it for the same reason. But what about the product? Isn't that the most important thing? At the Minocqua Brewing Company the politics AND the beer are "the product." Just think about the names of their beers -- and look at the murals on their building -- there's no doubt about the company's intentions. If one doesn't care for either component of the product--especially the politics--then just spend your money elsewhere -- And be honest about it in your negative Yelp review! If one supports the politics--the beverages are worth buying even if you find them underwhelming. Personally, I'm on totally board with their politics AND I find the beer to be quite good -- so for me supporting the Minocqua Brewing Company and enjoying their beer is something that I'm happy to do -- and I recommend that like minded folks do the same. We were in Wisconsin visiting relatives, and decided to stop by the brewery. Somehow I had made it onto their mailing list and I wanted to support what they were doing to make Wisconsin a more equitable place. The brewery is in an old gas station that has been tastefully turned into a shop selling beer and some brand clothing. I was able to sample a number of beers before deciding on which ones I wanted to purchase. The people working there were welcoming and helpful. Had family visiting this week so after a few hours of shopping and lunch, we stopped in for a beer. I love this building which I believe is on the National Register of Historic Places. Stopped by their location on Front street that's under construction. Got some Tammy Shandy and it was very good, a nice balance of flavors. They have a good amount of brewery swag available. Hope they are finished with renovations next summer when I go up north. read more

It's hot out, but this is the spot if you need a "cold one." I prefer the Tammy Shandy because who doesn't love a shandy in the summer?!? If you prefer reds, try their Extinct Elephant. I haven't had the wines yet, maybe next time. I don't make it "Up North" often, but when I do, I make it a point to get some Minocqua Brewing beers. I checked this place out today. I had a great time, felt comfortable and thankful for a local safe haven. The stories on the back of the beers are a nice touch. I love the fun aesthetic in an old converted gas station and the customer service was exceptional! I will definitely be back while I am in town and every time I return to the area!! read more

Before I start my review I'd like to add my own disclaimer to say that I don't make my reviews political and I don't talk politics, so my review is of this establishment. That said, Minocqua Brewing is political, or at least the ownership/management is. I don't think a product can be political, so either you like the product or you don't. I don't think those that lean to the right would like this establishment. This establishment leans to the left and their beers are named after current Democratic leaders. The main beer is Biden Brew and has a picture of Biden on the can. They have a beer with AOC on the can called AOC IPA. They have many more. I happened to be there when the owner was there and he did a free tasting for a group of maybe 30 people, and he said it was the biggest crowd he had so far. As part of the tasting he gave background on each drink and why he named it what he did. They also had wine so all-in-all I probably tried at least 10 drinks and had a bit of a buzz when it was done. The whole demonstration lasted about an hour. I thought the drinks were good. I would buy it and drink it. I will end by saying I don't think establishments should publicly broadcast their political views.... actually I don't think anyone should. When you do this you know that other people will pick sides. I think as a brewery you are limiting your audience by doing this. After hearing the owner and his stories I do understand why he is doing it, and I commend him for his persistence. read more

Stopped in here during a visit to Minocqua to try some beers. It's a small operation while they try and get their beer garden up and running but the staff is very friendly and walked us through all the beers available. Everything is in cans and they're willing to open up any you'd like to try. I went with the Lady Justice which was a solid Weiss beer. We sat outside where they have a few tables and enjoyed our drinks there. read more

Finally able to make a personal visit to the brewery. Beer is fantastic and we walked away with an assortment for ourselves and family as well as some t-shirts. Oh how I wish this establishment was bigger it would have been great to sit and have a draft beer after driving all day. We did however pick up food from Wild Berry Market a mile or so away and had a nice lunch with a good beer at the brewery. Keep up the good fight!! read more
