Visiting my SO's family from California and we don't have this out there so we had to hit Minos for roast beef. Hands down one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. My SO ordered the roast beef and I ordered the cheese steak. I wish I would have ordered the roast beef. The philly was really lacking in flavor like the meat wasn't even seasoned. Well from what I could taste the roast beef is still very good. Unfortunately, the point of from what I could taste is that my jr beef qas very lacking in the amount of beef. And it cost $5.86!! I mean for almost 6 bucks throw in some beef. I even noted in my previous review that they had a great beef to bread ratio; cuz I don't even like it over stuffed. The food was ok- not great- lacking in beef on the sandwich. However, This review is about the experience I had while picking up a TAKEOUT order. It was the most uncomfortable experience. If you're a women definitely keep reading. This all happens within about 5 minutes of me being there. It's kind of long but detailed. Now I had never been to Mino's before but my husband and I eat a lot of roast beefs in the area and thought we'd try it out. I order some food over the phone for takeout. When I go inside to pick it up it's not quite done yet. I walk in and immediately see that there's one women behind the counter and two men on the line making the sandwiches, one youngish and one much older. I can see the woman behind the counter is handling another order in front of me so I kind of daze off waiting to be greeted so I can say hello and pay for my food. The younger man immediately says hello, so I greet him back as any person would. Then when the older man tried to ask how I was going today, the younger man interrupted him and said "back off". So already a little weird, but I walk up to the register and put my hands on the counter waiting to pay. As I'm looking around the restaurant, waiting patiently again kind of dazing off into space, the younger man says either " I don't see a wedding ring on your finger... or I don't like the looks of the wedding ring on your Finger" (clearly I do have a wedding ring on, and I am taken back for a second- So I look down at my ring- fiddle with it- and say "it's nice, I like it" not really knowing how to respond. The man immediately responds by "so can I get your number?" At this point I'm already really uncomfortable and was like " I'm flattered but no thanks", and am now just wanting to pay and get out. Sometime in the next minute or two he asked what my name was. I hesitated to answer, and because all three people were looking at me I told them my name was penny. Now I am a very friendly person and usually like to make small talk but this was not the small talk I was expecting to have. The other two people working kind of laugh at him and he says it all part of good customer service. Finally the foods done and the woman is ringing me up, and as I'm trying to focus on the price and getting money out of my wallet- the man holds up a red marker of some sort and goes "hey this is for you". Confused I'm fumbling to get my money out. All While he's motioning that he's going to throw me the marker to write my number down. I say no thanks. And while I'm taking the money out, the women behind the counter puts a piece of paper and pencil on the counter and says this is for you. I ignore it, and pay. As she's giving me my food she's like "are you gonna write your number down for him" I'm like no. Ok Bye. Grab my food and bolted out the door. So idk about any one else, but I found this super in appropriate. Needless to say I can now never go back. read more

Prior to meeting my now husband I've never been to Massachusetts. Last summer he introduced me to Mino's let's just say that last summer I had to have the roast beef on onion roll with sauce and cheese at least twice a week. I understand everyone is struggling with business right now due to Covid but........ Super Beef was not a lot of beef, more like a regular. Ice cold french fries and cold reheated onion rings soaked in grease with almost no batter on them. We picked our take out order up within 15 minutes so the fries and rings should have at least been warm, not ice cold. When you are struggling during these times you should at least make sure your customers food is hot or at least warm and a Super Beef has Super Beef amount of meat in it. Five stars because what they do they do the best! There is no better roast beef. No better Greek salads. No better steak subs. Average prices, good service, it can be very busy, same owners for years. I think they can fit four or five cars in their lot. Mino's also has lots of late night muchie memories for me. read more

I give Mino's zero stars! I've lived in Lynn for over 30 years, and Mino's has been one of the most reliable take out places around...until now! I called in an order for two chicken kabobs in pita. The woman who answered the phone was rude, and I knew she had mixed up the order. I knew I was going to get the wrong thing. Sure enough, we went to pick up the order, and it was incorrect. AND, the people behind the counter seemed to think it was funny and laughed at us on our way out. Got the food home and it was awful. The chicken was so tough, i think they cooked it this morning. We just tossed it all down the disposal, and made ham sandwiches. Never again, will I give any business to Mino's. Not all Greek Salads are created equal...and Mino's makes AWESOME Greek salads!!! I have tried some other items and I am also a fan of the Spinach Roll and the Onion Rings...yummy!!! Yeah, this place is the real deal. Almost worth making a special trip to Lynn for! Great atmosphere - I walked in and the first thing I saw was a white-haired old lady totally going to town on a large steak and cheese sub. Awesome! The roast beef, sauce and cheese was divine. ahh, Mino's. Anyone who attended Pickering Middle School knows that Mino's is *the* place to go afterschool. Just their french fries are amazing--golden, crispy and delicious. The roast beef subs are the best though. I wouldn't go to any other place to get them. Parking is tight, as is expected from a small restaurant/take-out place. I've driven by here twice a day to/from work. There doesn't appear to be adequate parking from the vantage point of making a left turn st the light. I was wrong! There a small parking area behind the building that is accessible from both streets. Also it's clearly marked what is the neighbor's space and what is Mino's. Counter service was prompt and courteous. Got a large roast beef sandwich to go. Very good. Generous portion, tasty sauce and bun. I believe it's cash only. Give it a try! I'll be back. read more

It's ok - do yourself a favor and get a roast beef or a souvlaki sub. Just had a lamb souvlaki and the meat was soft, tender, feasible, flavorful. Plenty of feta and not overloaded with onions. I wouldn't order anything else from here. Sometimes it can be hit or miss, but tonight was a hit. French fries, I didn't care much for. Mino's is classic roast beef and pretty consistent but has fallen off as top dog in my book. My wife loves their chicken Caesar salad and I believe their best offering is their chicken finger sub 3way. They have the ratio of cheese, sauce and mayo to perfection. I prefer to let it sit awhile before digging in to let that sauce soak into the chicken and the buttered roll. read more

Personally, I'm on Team John's when it comes to roast beef, but Mino's has the better greek salad, steak tips and chicken tenders. Parking is tight, but very manageable. The food is okay, but every time I go in there, I am met by the most unhappy woman in the entire world. Furthermore, it always smells terrible, like dirty socks or something.
