I honestly don't understand how this place is operating. It feels like it's run by people who think they understand the restaurant business--but clearly don't. The food came out cold, which is pretty inexcusable for something as simple as roast beef. Presentation was sloppy and unappealing, like no one took even a second to care how it looked before serving it. Service was mediocre at best--nothing outright rude, but definitely not attentive or professional. Overall, it just felt like a place going through the motions without any real standards. So I got food poisoning it's 1pm the next day! This whole experience was nothing short of a nightmare. It's started with the lady on the phone last night at 530 who didn't understand a word I said and wanted to rush me off the phone.she made me feel like I was annoying her! The order was $32 I had 2 $20's I let him keep the change. 2 double smash burgers with bacon no lettuce no tomatoes one with bbq sauce a side of fries! We unwrap the burgers to see lettuce and tomato the buns sitting in a pool of mayo! We tried to pick it up it was soggy everything slid apart we had to take it apart remove everything we didn't want! Only one had bacon no bbq! We toook the plunge took a bite! We were starving on our way to the movies it was awful soggy so much mayo it was just odddd! but we continued! We tried until I noticed how cold the patties were. I look and it was raw red like raw raw! That's when we said no way and put it all in the trash! The fries were definitely old definitely the ones that sat in the window and died in that kitchen! Iv been in the restaurant business for 30 yrs. I know dead fries! However this is not when it ends. With in 45 min i start cramping so bad i start sweating! My mouth started watering and well let's just say we never made it to the movies and I just woke up bc I was up all night puking and everything else that comes with food poisoning. The cramps were so bad I was crying. I'm shocked I only took maybe 5 bites. The 5th was spit out!! We live in a small apartment my son got diarrhea as well! No puking!! We were fighting over the bathroom all night! So that's it that's my story! The ending of my relationship with buzzys. It's so sad this place has really went down since what happened! I was about to leave after eating my "Dine IN" order when they REFUSED me use of their bathroom @ {apprx} 1:08 AM, as they were "CLOSING"!!! As long as Crazy Buzzy's Roast Beef and Seafood of Lynn has been functional, part of their selling point was their "open till 3AM weekends" pitch!!! Not only that!!!!!! I paid $52.13 for a "Super Special Dinner" plate {fried seafood} which included a $6.80 TIP! TIP FOR WHAT!!! To be denied use of their bathroom! I was alone. I was not loud or boisterous to any capacity. In my opinion, I would say I was quite affable. When I got denied, there was approximately 2 - 3 other patrons in the establishment. We wanted to try it out but we know it's a soft opening so we understand and be patient. We ordered two roast beefs, chicken wings but they got confused and gave us fingers instead, and kids chicken fingers. I know my mom said wings but I didn't want to argue with them. The jr roast beef was good because the bun was nice and the roast beef was thinly sliced and there was plenty in it. The chicken fingers were delicious but they put a few crumbs in there that counted as chicken but other than that they were good. The fries were okay but we're a little overcooked. The place is order at the counter with overhead lighted menu boards and a few tables along the windows and painted murals and decorative air freshener tree art. They offer a good variety of foods including fried & baked seafood dinners (belly clams, clam strips, scallops, haddock, shrimp, calamari), seafood rolls, lobster rolls, roast beef sandwiches, smash burgers, hot dogs, subs, wraps, fried chicken, salads, fried foods, gyros, souvlaki, steak tips, spinach pie, Wachusett chips, cooler drinks and desserts. They use Piantedosi rolls here. The prices seem fair. I stopped by Crazy Buzzy's for takeout recently. They were offering their Jr. Roast Beef for $4.99 (normally $6.99) as part of their soft opening. I decided to go with a Jr Roast Beef with lettuce, tomato, red onions & mayo and a Baklava ($4.95 plus tax). What is great about this place is they didn't upcharge the lettuce and tomato like other places. My order took a while and it was ready and bagged in 13 minutes. The Jr Roast Beef was actually a good size and had plenty of lean tender medium rare roast beef slices, leaf lettuce, tomato slices, red onions and light mayo on a toasted burger bun. The roast beef wasn't bloody red like at other places on the North Shore. The baklava was literally soaked in honey with layers of thin phyllo dough sheets with crushed pistachios. Most folks who order dessert at a roast beef joint just want a treat. For them to charge 7.00 and the slice be so small it's more like a sliver, is unfair. Too many good options to choose from on the menu, it's hard to pick - but haven't been disappointed by anything I've tried yet. All the staff are GREAT. Friendly, attentive, and go above & beyond to make sure all their guests have a great experience. Overall great vibe. On my way to work decided to call in an order. Just for one simple sandwich. I was told 5-10 minutes. I arrived 15 minutes later. Mid afternoon no one in the place and I can see there are no other orders in. I walked in and told them my name and the gentleman at the register said he would be back. He went into the kitchen abd seemed to rustle the help to get the order going. If he was not in kitchen I would have canceled the order but he had me pay before he left. Unfortunately the last two times I went in there they grossly overcharged me. My wife and I went to crazy buzzys tonight. We split the fried clam plate and a 3 way roast beef. The fried clams might have been the best clams I ever had. They were tasty and perfectly cooked. Same with the onion rings and fries. Perfectly cooked and really fresh. I didn't have the 3 way beef but my wife said it was a 10/10!. Oh and the tartar sauce is right up there with Kellys! Ive been a chef my entire life. Ive eaten in some of the best and worst restaurants. This beef is really good. I got the super with sauce and cheese. I dont know about the other food. But this was enough for me to take the time and write about it. Service is spot on. I can tell that there is care taken to all aspects of the business.
