I visited with my bf and we had the Hawaiian pizza. We both thought it was the best pizza we've ever had. We will definitely be going back.

Forced to talk to a robot when calling, and this results in a loss of sales because there is no way to talk out specials or get details about the items the computer suggests you "spice up your order" with. Additionally, I consistently I need to reheat the pizzas I get to go as they are under cooked. Looks like Minsky's wants to become another bland Pizza Hut clone. read more

I LOVE this location!! We went to another location and the experience was not great. THIS Minsky's in Leawood is very nice!! The pizza is expensive, but it's very good. Our server was super great! We ordered a couple of pizzas and salads to be delivered. After waiting 30 minutes past the delivery time we called, and they said that there was a mix up something to do with AI and that they could deliver the pizzas and salads, but it would be a while. We choose to just go pick them up as we had two hungry little ones also waiting for dinner. When my wife arrived to pick the pizza, they apologized and said they would credit the account back due to the inconvenience. After checking several days later, they did not credit the account back, and the salads did not have all the ingredients they normally have. Very disappointed and the last few times we have eaten there the quality has not been as good as it use to. read more

Not my personal taste in food but my son wanted pizza from here. Was stopped at the door by the overly excited to be a manager doorman because I brought my water bottle in. I do everywhere I go and have for years because I don't drink tap. He would not "let" me take it to my table. First time this has ever happened anywhere. I don't want heavy metals in my water and the "filtered" fountain water only filters taste- not contaminants. Oh Minsky's, how I've missed you! I grew up in KC, which means I grew up with Minsky's. I've lived in Denver for 16 years though, so no Minsky's. They are an institution. Just as good as I remembered. I got the Papa Minsky's, which has several meats, diced sweet red peppers, and their "sweet" sauce that just has sweeter tomatoes. We got mozzarella sticks, pretty standard and pretty good, and my daughter got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo which comes with a couple of garlic breadsticks. So good, so creamy. A hint of nutmeg, a lot of cheese, and plenty of black pepper. Do yourself a favor and stop by a Minsky's, they're all over town. read more

Possibly the consistently best pizza in KC. My favorite. Their pizza is thick, with lots of toppings and cheese. A couple of slices is all that I can typically eat. They make an outstanding cheeseburger pizza. I was afraid to try this but when I did it became my favorite. Service is attentive and the wait for the pizza is 10 minutes or so. It's in a strip mall but it's a pizza joint so not a concern. read more

This place is soooooo good. During COVID, we ate inside as no one was inside except the people who worked there. The crew was hard at work hustling order taking and curbside pick up, however, and there was a constant stream of people stopping in with masks on to pick up their orders. All the people working were wearing masks. My friend who is from here told me about this place. I tried it while visiting my Mom and we both really liked it. My brothers subsequently went and THEY really like it as well so now it's a family favorite. They have a vast menu, so you really can't go wrong on pizza AT ALL. Both the crust and the Minsky's sauce are amazing, so just choose your size, and pick from about 50 toppings and you're good to go. Tonight was the first time I ordered wings, though. Wowwwwwwwwww these are by far the BIGGEST wings I've ever had and they are super close to being the BEST wings I've ever had (right after Tampa Tap Room in Tampa)! Just soooo good. Management will "promise" pizza credits for poor customer service that you received by pretending to add your name, number and credit amount in their system. However, when you go to redeem such credits they will not actually have any documentation regarding your credits. If they decide to offer them to you, make sure you have the proper documentation on your end, ESPECIALLY if you're speaking the assistant manager, John. Manager was rude and condescending today, won't be supporting their business any longer. I spent 75+ dollars on pizza today and was pissed the entire time I was eating it. Backstory is my family decided to get pizza after my daughter's soccer game. I thought we were going to pick it up and take it back to the house so I ordered it through DoorDash. When I got there, my wife said she wanted to eat in the restaurant. I had them seat us at a table and we ordered drinks. I see the manager out of the corner of my eye. He says in a rude authoritative way " I see you ordered your food through DoorDash, we are full service establishment you still need to take care of your waiter". This was and still is a K.C staple pizza joint. Fresh ingredients, crust is amazing. For a while I laid off pizza because I don't like a lot of dough. Having a craving for some pizza I seen they had a thin honey wheat crust and it was a no brainer. I throughly enjoy the bbq chicken pizza. Just enough toppings not too heavy and a good balance of flavor. I always get their jumbo wings because they are cooked to perfection and pair well with the pizza. The chocolate chip cooks are to die for. Baked fresh daily and addictive as all get out. I grab a few extra packs of those because I'm already being bad I might as well put myself to sleep. Solid local chain. Been going for years. Soft chewy crust and basic sauce and cheese is ok. Mediocre on those fronts. But toppings are good and filling portions. My favorite is the papa minskys pizza its very good with red pepper and meat. The prime cut is also good, a sort of meat lovers. The pizzas are thick and almost like a casserole. Service has been fine over the years. In short its a good pizza when your hungry that will certainly leave you filled however not a traditionally perfect pie. read more

I moved to Overland Park from Scottsdale a year ago and Minsky's on State Line has been exceptional. When dining in, the servers go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. Whether it's remembering people by name, or the manager coming out and giving the kids small pieces of dough so they can pretend they are making a pizza, they always make you feel at home. I often order pick up and delivery and they ALWAYS get the order right, including special instructions such as extra sauce, etc. My condo can be hard to find and when I order delivery from other places, including Uber Eats, they usually call me from their car and I have to put shoes on and bundle up to go outside and find them. I've had several different delivery drivers from Minsky's deliver to my condo over the past 12 months and they have always taken it upon themselves to navigate their way to my condo and come right to my front door and ring the doorbell. That makes a huge difference to me. They always get here quickly and the food is always piping hot when it arrives. It's worth noting that I live slightly outside of their delivery area, but they have always been very accommodating and make an exception for me. They have been very transparent about the fact that if they are ever too busy they might not be able to deliver to me since I'm outside of their area. To date, that's only happened one time on a Saturday night when there was a major sporting event going on, which is totally understandable. At a time when good customer service and quality food at a reasonable price is becoming harder and harder to find, Minsky's really stands out. This was my first expeirence with Minskys and I had high hopes only to be charged nearly $200 from my credit card some how. Told the manager. He said it will only charge for the order I put in. That was it. He also said someone would send the forgotten cookies back out to us, but never did. Sent it in to customer service and never heard nothing back. This all from the city market location. Posted to Facebook to try and get their attention about the matter and it was deleted. I will give it another day with the credit card. It has been nearly a week now. Some coworkers and I ordered a pizza and salad online at 11:31 am and it said about 45 minutes for delivery. At 12:30 I called and after over 6 minutes of being on hold I was told that she had a delivery at 12:30 and I should be next. I finally got my pizza and salad at 12:55. The salad must have sat on top of the pizza the entire time because it was warm. After that long of the pizza being done it was soggy and Luke warm. My family just left the Minsky state line location and I have never written a yelp review but I feel like I have too. Our waiter I believe his name was skyler served 8 of us. We have never been treated so nicely and quickly by someone at a restaurant like that. He brought our food out quickly but was also replacing drinks and chatting with all of us the entire time. Never once did anyone run out of drinks, need anything not brought out quick or have any issues with the service. I own several companies and would be proud to have someone like that work for me. . 2 friends and I came here after church one Sunday and the entire experience just seemed to be a little off. After being seated, it took forever for our waitress to come over and take our drink order. Once we got our waters, I found some crumbs in mine (before I even took a sip), but had to wait a very long time for her to come back so I could request a new one. She also forgot our straws. The "tablecloths" are paper and most places with paper table gave you crayons. No crayons here. One friend is vegetarian. There are 2 vegetarian options on the menu. Our menu was nasty and sticky. We only got 1 menu to share because apparently they were out. I ordered breadsticks because I knew the pizza was going to take awhile. The breadsticks were delicious. The pizza came and it was good, but not special in any way. Editable, but totally forgettable. I think it had tomatoes and almonds on it. I very much prefer Waldo's Pizza. Or even Papa John's.
