Good food, great prices! We are always looking for places for breakfast. I think it may be our favorite meal to eat out and Caleb's will probably make it into our rotation. The place is part of the red bridge shopping center which has been redone and looks really nice. I got the cheesy omelet with ham. Some variation of this is what I always get. It had cheddar and jack cheese, and it tasted really good. I think if they would have added American cheese to the mix it would have been perfect. I got the potatoes and unfortunately they were over seasoned. The sourdough toast was good. My wife got the country scramble. She liked it but she thought the gravy was just ok. Seems like gravy is the weakness at a lot of places so if you find one that has great gravy then that is five stars. The restaurant itself is fine. It's clean, but to me it just looks like every other breakfast restaurant and I wish they would have done something different to stand out. Our server was very accurate, efficient and pleasant. It's a breakfast place so they have big sections and turning tables is the name of the game, so keep that in mind. Having worked in restaurants in my younger days I totally know what makes a great breakfast server and this is what you want. The price was really good. My wife and I ate there for 30 bucks. In 2026 that is really good. Overall, the place was good and the price was great. I gave it 4 stars because nothing stands out but it's solid all around. First time trying Caleb's - won't be returning. My veggie skillet wasn't awful, but there are WAY better brunch options in KC. Rye toast tasted somewhat burned with no hint of rye flavor. Veggies in my skillet were barely grilled and included asparagus stems with lots of raw green bell peppers. Salsa was like Pace brand. Coffee: suburban breakfast place blend. Service was acceptable but it took forever to get Cholula brought to the table. The ambiance was suburban breakfast place, as well. Took a vacation day and stopped at Caleb's after errands for a brunch with my husband. We had a hard time choosing so we ordered several things and took home leftovers! Started with the cinnamon roll which had a dense texture but was good and that icing, very sweet which I like! We did a pancake on the side to share and it was delicious! Light and fluffy with lots of butter. My husband liked his omelette and hash browns but we both agreed the Country Scramble and breakfast potatoes were the best! They bring you a pot of coffee and they have all the condiments in a basket which we thought was genius! Everything we needed. They have a very cute patio but we opted for inside because it was a bit rainy. But we will do the patio next time because it was lovely with all the flowers! Good service and the place was packed the entire time we were there, but there was no wait for us when we arrived around 10:45. This is a great little gem in the Red Bridge shopping center which has gotten a facelift and new life breathed into it with all these charming and delicious offerings. read more

This place is always busy on weekends but we live near by so getting it to go is the best option for us! We enjoy their breakfast tacos, crepes and biscuits a lot. The only downfall is they quote a lot longer than it takes and the food sits in a bag near the cash register and can get cold and soggy if you're not there early. read more

The food and service at Caleb's is great. We live nearby and eat here at least once a week. Their lunch offerings are even better than the breakfast menu. Do not sleep on the California Fresh and club sandwiches! The one main drawback is the decor & music. Both are absolutely terrible -- the music being the worst. It's always the most annoying, extra slow, royalties-free-sounding classical or old hymns. Literally drives us crazy. And I've brought friends and family members with us and without prompting, they've made the same comment. It's that bad. Our family went to this restaurant after a graduation and we all were very pleased with the experience. We had 12 people in our party and surprisingly they were able to accommodate us on a Sunday when they were busy. Our waitress was good and efficient. Our food was very good and they had a good menu for a breakfast/lunch/brunch restaurant with fresh ingredients. I was also happy that they had Gluten Free waffles and bread for sandwiches. I usually get at least one pancake to eat there and I eat one of the four pieces of the Caleb's quesadilla that I get during breakfast and then have it for multiple meals later. My husband and I were staying nearby for a wedding and found this place with a Google search. The wait wasn't bad, especially for a Saturday, and the servers were friendly. Ot isn't fancy, but it is charming like you would expect a neighborhood diner to be. The highlights were the bacon--cooked perfectly, and the sour dough toast. Cute little spot! The hostess and waitress were both super nice and we weren't left wanting for refills or anything like that. She brought us waters before we even ordered, which was awesome! I love having water in addition to whatever drink I order. There were also a variety of condiments on the table so you don't have to ask (coffee creamer, hot sauce, Tabasco, ketchup, jams/jellies, and straws). The decor is pretty run-of-the-mill aside from the gorgeous swag lamps hanging from the ceiling! We ordered chicken strips and fries to share and it was definitely enough for two people at medium-hungry. The chicken was well-seasoned and the fries were straight cut and beer-battered. I'm pretty sure the ranch was homemade as well and my fiancé loved it. My only complaint about the food is that the batter on the chicken fell off easily. No big really, I know how to use a fork. Plus the batter is so good and the chicken is so juicy that you'll be licking your plate clean regardless. I also wanted to update the pictures of the menu! The most recent ones are a couple years old and the prices have changed a tad. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place for chicken strips if nothing else! Stopped in to Caleb's while visiting from out-of-town. Hubby had his usual; biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were huge and fluffy and delicious, but they were so soft it made it hard eat with the gravy. Eggs and bacon were good. I had the breakfast tacos. Using corn tortillas is different to me, and while I didn't hate it, I probably would've preferred flour. That's really my only complaint. This place saved me. I ordered the chicken fried chicken and Carmel pecan French toast. My oh my was it good. Chicken fried to a golden brown with a crunch, gravy on the side. French toast cooked perfectly and the eggs and potatoes seasoned just right. They do not miss. I've had them twice now and they are consistent, portions are large. The inside bright and clean. The breakfast plates are priced affordably and everything I have tasted time and time again has been seasoned and cooked really well. Sometimes, at brunch only establishments I can find the food a tad bit overly salty but, I have never had that happen at Caleb's even though the dishes are very rich and large and in charge. Once I found out about Caleb's I think I went back two more times within that month and recommended it to family and friends. The eggs benedicts have to take my top draft pick. If you are a fan of yolky hollandaise in a thick creamy blanket mixing with a perfectly poached egg, the yolk spilling out, then choosing one of the two benedicts is a must! They are also nicely priced at under $10?! Like come on...you cannot beat that value especially for a classic benedict like the one I had the last time. The thick fresh tomatoes, the nice bed of spinach protecting the toasted English muffin from any sort of sogginess, as well as the salty Canadian bacon all layered and stacked to create a bountiful benedict. The other benedict Caleb's offers is one that includes corn beef hash and is just as savory and delicious, and yes I have ordered that one as well, just call me a traditionalist because I prefer the classic one here. Another notable mention, one that's price really makes it part of the starting lineup at Caleb's, is the biscuit breakfast sandwiches. The one that I prefer is the one with spicy chorizo. These bad boys are made on a homemade square lightly colored, soft, chewy cloud of a biscuit that is massive! The biscuit is halved and the sandwich essentials are stuffed inside, it truly is the perfect vessel for a breakfast sandwich. And here's the kicker... Caleb's sells these for $6.99 to $7.99, what a deal. Everything on the menu is affordable, the price point is pretty much all under thirteen dollars for full plates of food that will definitely fill you up without emptying out your wallet. If you are looking for a new go-to local brunch restaurant to try out in the South Kansas City/ Grandview area then look no further than Caleb's. They offer a wide range of price conscious breakfast and lunch options that do not skimp out on the portion sizes or on the flavor.
