    The $6.50 salad, slice, and drink special was a good deal. The salad had plenty of cheese and fresh ingredients, the pizza slice was nicely-sized, with plenty of tasty toppings, and a chewy thin crust, while the drink was large. The service was fast, but all business, and the food court was busy, but clean.

It's been a minute since my last visit, and I'm thrilled to report that absolutely nothing has changed... and for once, that's actually a compliment. ​Round 1: The Liquid Diet ​Naturally, I kicked off my personal Tour of Italy with a couple of custom cocktails. ​The Elegant Marguerite: Fantastic, but don't let the name fool you. This "elegant" drink has a dark side and can cause a first round knockout. Proceed with caution. ​The Limoncellotini: Hands down, the absolute star of the show. Sweet, smooth, and hit every single note on the playlist. Pure perfection. ​Phase 2: The Carbs & Carnage ​Next up was the appetizer round. I went with the Calamari Fritta, served with a classic marinara and a seriously impressive pesto-style sauce. The calamari itself was light, airy, and practically melted in my mouth. ​For the main event, I ordered their specialty: Chicken Vincenzo. We're talking lightly breaded chicken with mushrooms, garlic, and herbs and one heck of a flavorful sauce, side-chicked by a plentiful portion of linguine. The pasta was a masterclass in al dente, and this lived up to the hype. ​The Service & The Happy accident. ​Our server was fantastic--actually took the time to pour our drinks tableside and drop some stellar meal recommendations. The place was also impeccably clean, as you'd expect. ​But the real test of a great restaurant is how they handle a hiccup. One of our friends ordered the eggplant parm, but the kitchen accidentally sent out chicken parm instead. Now, they absolutely would have bent over backwards to replace it, but the chicken looked so darn good they just went with it anyway. When a mistake tastes that good, you know the kitchen isn't messing around. ​10/10. Will be back to get hammered by that Marguerite again.

The lasagna is a smaller portion - about the size of your first, but you can tell the pasta was fresh. Spedini was tender and juice, but even with oil and herbs, there was something missing. There is a old school Italian ambiance with the decor. It works for Overland Park but just seems kind of weird in a strip mall.

They also did a solid job keeping everything clean even during the chaos, and the restaurant itself is really beautiful. I'll be back, but I'm probably coming back just for the crème brûlée. The food was good, it just felt pricey for not having anything that really stood out in portion or flavor for my whole family. I had multiple family members in my party who've eaten here a lot tell me it tastes noticeably different than it used to. They said they've mentioned it to management before and were told changes were made to cut costs, and honestly, it shows in quality unfortunately. They don't plan to come back because of that, but I'll happily return for dessert.
