So, I really do NOT like to speak badly about businesses, but when you are literally trying to SWINDLE people into very painful, high priced procedures that are NOT necessary I have to speak up to try to help others NOT do this in the future. I have been going to mint for years!! Different location. This is my 2nd time at the Cypress location for convenience. NOT HAPPY AT ALL! Please understand you will be in the office for at least 1.5 hours for a regular cleaning. Please note: Arrive early because EVERYTIME you go, you will be required to complete the SAME paperwork you did the last time, even if it was 3 months ago. The reasoning today was because it's a new year, but that has not always been the case. Anyway, moving on. The X-rays were taken the dentist came back & stated she sees a shadow in my tooth & they need to do a root canal & crown immediately. I'm floored, I am stellar about my hygiene so no cavities here. I asked to retake the X-ray. They did & with an attitude the Dr. Came back & said yeah maybe it's not a cavity we will keep an eye on it. I'm like REALLY!!! So if I had NOT asked for a second x-ray they would have done an unnecessary ROOT Canal (nice & painful & expensive) & crown? For a tiny shadow on the side of my tooth that could be repaired (if there was a cavity) with a filling? REALLY? Wow!!! How about NOOOOO!!! See the thing is the last time I was here they tried this on another tooth that I have a filling in that's been there for 20 years, it doesn't bother me, no pain. They told me, the filling is really deep, we need to do a root canal & crown. I'm like NO, I need a second opinion. So I go to a regular dentist office & have an exam the next week. They told me there is nothing wrong with my filling & it needs no work unless I wanted to turn it to a white filling since it's silver. I told them no it doesn't bother me it's tomorrow n the back. They said then your fine. Bottom line, Mint is a CASH COW that will ream you into unnecessary procedures. Please get a second opinion & if it doesn't hurt you probably don't need the service they are trying to sell you. Ohhhh and about that whiting. I asked for that, the doctor told me no because you said you have some sensitivity. I've always had that & never a problem receiving the whiting before. I demanded the whiting & they did it but honestly, I'm over Mint. Sorry it had to come to this but please go elsewhere unless you want unnecessary worrying about dental work you don't need so they can stay rich. Enough said. Wait, about the cleaning. The half cleaning should I say. Never in the last 25 years (every 6 months) has this ever happened. The lady used a water pick & floss. No scraping utensils to truly make sure all is clean. I inquired as to why, she stated your teeth are clean there's nothing to scrape. Ok, again I do practice great hygiene but I am not perfect. I know somewhere way in the back behind those wisdom teeth there's something hiding she did not even try. She also did not run the floss through my bridge which is required for cleaning. I do it everyday myself but the dentist always do it for cleaning. SMH worst cleaning ever! No noooo, I'm NOT done! Here's the NASTY kicker! I'm getting the mold done for my teeth. So the guy open a cabinet next to me I'm watching him, reaches into a bucket of molds blindly, Pulls one out, puts it in my mouth, says little too big. He throws that mold that was just in my mouth back into the same bucket with all the other molds (which I'm assuming we're supposed to be a clean mold bucket) and tries another size. I'm thinking OMG, how do they know which ones are clean & which aren't when he threw it back into all the other ones? They clean every mold in between patients even if they weren't used? I don't think so... (Ready to vomit thinking about it). With Corona going on this is UNEXCEPABLE on every level. Just NASTY!

Wow!! Great experience from front to back the staff is amazing! Just like the commercial said the office is beautiful, Z Gallery decor all the way through the office! The chairs are heated and massage. As Im waiting I'm listening to Pandora. I truly can't express how pleasant the staff here is! Seriously why go anywhere else? The assistant Jaida was so personable she made me feel very comfortable. I'm definitely going to bring my daughter her so she can experience this, I would highly recommend this place!

    Mint is the best.

THEY TAKE CARE OF YOU LIKE FAMILY here at Cypress Oral!…read more My story is that I've had a root-canal done on a premolar years ago in another city, and unfortunately that surgeon somehow botched the crown post placement in an irreparable way. I put off getting it replaced by a bridge/implant simply because of the expense and because I didn't know who to trust. Fast forward to a few months ago, my stepdad's brother, a seasoned dentist but not an oral surgeon, recommended Cypress Oral to suit my predicament. I couldn't be more grateful that I went with his recommendation! Dr. Price and Dr. Michael both took excellent care of me from the moment I met them, as if they were doing a favor for their own nephew! Wow! They are both very knowledgeable about their expertise and covered things I didn't even see mention of in my research. I was nervous about the issue of price and potential complications, but they didn't pressure me in anyway, just kindly informed me of my best option, which for me was the implant. They eased a lot of my anxiety about the whole process. The staff quoted a much better, reasonable price than I was given at other practices. Hardly common these days, these folks actually care more about their patients than their revenue! What's more, both Dr. Price and Michael went above and beyond to help me out in what for me had been a hard time financially. Thank you so much! So I took the chance and I'm so glad I did! The procedure was so quick (isn't anesthesia great?) I didn't even know they were finished when I came to! Ha! It barely even hurt during my recovery too, great job! Now I have a nicely-healed gum site with a flawless post where there was once a cringe-worthy, nasty mess of decaying enamel that had been that way for more than 5 YEARS. Amazing! I couldn't ask for a better experience! Thank you so much Dr. Michael and Dr. Price, and thank you Cypress Oral! God bless you all!

OK...this will be a review of Dr Dyer, but also something people who need osseous surgery can refer…read moreto. The review will be ongoing since the osseous surgery needs to be done in stages, so review will be updated several times. Although I brush and floss, I developed gun disease and needed osseous surgery. Osseous surgery can be intimidating. That is because you have to cut the gums open to expose and work on the inflamed tissues and often damaged tooth root. It is not quite open heart surgery, but it is something that is still pretty serious and requires a lot of skill, especially since you will be awake the whole time. Having said that, don't worry too much, the procedure itself is not painful. The shots, of course sting and you will need several. Doc Dyer was quick and efficient. OK, so gums are cut open and doc Dyer is cleaning away and seems to be in the zone. I saw one reviewer claim that doc Dyer is not friendly. In my experience he was quite friendly during the initial visit, but yes was not particularly jovial during the actual work. But that is, IMO, because he is serious about the work he is doing. Your gums are cut open and he is down in your tooth root doing some pretty hard core work/scraping (he also had to re-build a damaged root) so you might not want Rodney Dangerfield type humor at that moment. Just my take. He did call to check up on me that night, I think it was about 20 minutes to 9, so that shows me he cares about you after the work day is over. I am sorry to say this, but IMO, a lot of health pros are in it only for the money (please see my review of Delight Dental) but doc Dyer did not have to call at night. Good sign. So the section was done and I went home. My meds were waiting for me at my local Pharmacy, no problem, but 2 hours later I was feeling no pain so I did not take anything. I probably should have because 2 hours later the gums started to hurt. I ended up taking 3-4 codeine. The next morning they really hurt and I took one and they still hurt so I took another. I was worried because you don't get a lot of codeine...but pretty soon the pain resided and here on day 2 I have some lower jaw soreness and moderate gum pain and might need a few more but I am pretty sure I am good. That is a pet peeve of mine, docs who underprescribe pain medication since they care more about their license than your pain (thank the opiod crisis and general greed). Another reviewer claims that doc Dyer under prescribed pain meds, but I am getting by with no problem on what he wrote. I am getting a little pain from eating but I have enough meds, so don't worry about that although YMMV. That wraps it up fo right now. I am a tough grader but have to go with a 5 for right now. We will see how things go when I get the rest of my work done.

My mount hurt for 2 days, and my gum was black and blue. I understand not all us are talkers, and that's fine. I am not there for the personality, I am there for expertise. I would not send my dog to this man. MY husband is a doctor, he called me in an antibiotic. What a jerk this guy is. I am surprised he still has a practice.
