UPDATE: As of 5/2/2018 Mint now owes me $20 because when I requested a new card, I received the new card but it had the same account number...so Mint managed to get more out of me. I spoke with someone from billing on 2/9/2017, and some how she managed to stop the auto deduction from my checking account. Something that I have been calling to get them to do for half a year with no success. She said I would receive a refund in my bank account in 4-6 weeks. I waited 7 weeks, and there was no refund. Called again to the Irving location and spoke with the manager on 4/2, and told her I want them to cut me a check instead. She took my address and said she would contact corporate to mail my refund to me. That was a month ago. What goes through my mind is how many people they have done this too, and how many gave up fighting because it was not worth it, or it was too much trouble. Sure the refund is small, but multiply by thousands of customers that this may be happening to, Mint is practically stealing money from the public. I am going to call them one more time, and see if they will set things right. If not, I will need to file a complaint against Mint Dentistry through the BBB or the Federal Trade Commission. In my previous updated review, I said I was over it, and they can take my money. I'M NOT OVER IT, and they will NOT take my money. People need to know what a horrible company Mint Dentistry is, and that their business practices is UNETHICAL. They may be all nice and shiny on the surface, but BEWARE giving them your business. If I can give negative stars I would. MINT is all great when things go smoothly, but when an issue arises, BEWARE. More than likely it won't get resolved, and you're the one holding the short end of the stick. You may have read my LONG rant of my ordeal with MINT Dentistry, and how I was charged AGAIN for 2 more months, when they just recently credited me for the previous 3 months that they charged me when they weren't supposed to; AND supposedly my information is no longer in their system... On 10/31 the assistant manager from the McArthur, Irving location told me they will refund the 2 months. GUESS WHAT?! It's 11/17, and I don't see $10 back in my account. They should be crediting me $15, because I had pay $5 to get a new card to ensure MINT doesn't take any more money from me. $10 is not a lot of money, but it's the principle! It's MY money that they had no right to take. I even called again on 11/13 to check on my refund. I had to retell my story, and the person on the phone was shocked to hear about my 4 MONTH NIGHTMARE. She told me she will give my information to the District Manager, and they will contact. me. Lo and behold, NO CALL. Shocker... Today, I AM OVER IT. Keep my $10, my card is canceled and I will never have to deal with MINT Dentistry. SHAME ON YOU MINT! read more

My 1st visit here & I enjoyed every minute. The staff was very helpful & informative about what was going on!

The first time i came here I was in and out for a cleaning in 1 hour. No wait time, i was very impressed. I came in for a broken crown a month ago and had an hour wait before I before I rescheduled. There were still two patients in fron of me. It seems like they have only one dental assistant, but schedule 2-3 patients every 15 minutes. I am in the lobby now to seat my new crown; been waiting 45 minutes and there is still one more patient in front of me. Odd because I schedule to be the first patient of the afternoon to avoid the problem I had last time. Very poor communication amd extremely slow service. I will come back to finish this crown, but I will not be back and would certainly not recommend Mint to anyone that doesnt want to spend 4 hours in the dentist for a very simple procedure. read more

I love Mint Dentistry as a whole, but today's experience has me rethinking using this office. I had a 10:00 appointment and I now sit here and it's 11:45 and I have not been seen. I had a really good experience up until the hygienist came to clean my teeth. She was beyond rough and cut my lip with floss. (I will try to attach photos of my lip.) I jumped and said ow, she seemed to get annoyed and proceeded with the flossing rougher. She later mentioned "Oh the floss must have caught you" after realized I was bleeding. The insurance lady came in after that reviewed briefly my coverage and then rushed me out with the dirty bib still attached. I asked her what she wanted me to do with it, she replied "Oh, idk just leave it there" I called back to ask a question about my follow up procedure and the woman said she would have the dentist call me back. No one ever called back, I wouldn't return. I think I had a string of bad luck. read more

This was by for one of the best experiences I've ever had. I was able to watch Netflix I got the chair massage and my hygienist was extremely nice and very attentive as well as the doctor. I didn't feel that it was all about money because she didn't suggest anything that I would've thought she would have and she gave me a referral for something that she thought would be a better fit for me verse wasting my money on getting a crown done here!!! This was my first visit at any MINT Dentistry location. Claudia was the assistant who took my X-Rays and molds for my whitening trays. She was gentle, pleasant, knowledgeable and explained everything she was doing (including letting me know she was sanitizing every tool and work station we sat at). Dr. Tanase was thorough and quick. She was very straightforward, honest yet very nice. Tiffany was my dental hygienist. She was gentle and thorough and made conversation the whole time she cleaned my teeth. She also explained how to use the whitening trays at home. Overall I had a very pleasant visit. read more

Well it has been a long journey with Mint. Two years at this location to be exact! They did my first crown. The Dentist who did my crown and root canal last year definately made a mistake during the procedure, She even admitted to doing so during the visit. I have then since been working with the office manager and staff to find a solution for my ongoing pain and discomfort. We have done several bite adjustments, even to the point where my new crown is completely grinded down to nothing, and yet this was not the issue. Something went terribly wrong during the procedure. I now have gotten a second opinion and have an infection that occured post treatment. Had the procedure originally been done correctly, I would not have to have my current options limited to either a retreatment by endodontist or an extraction and implant. These options seems devastating to me considering it could have all been prevented. I do not feel these are the normal risks associated with a root canal, this would definately fall under malpractice. It is unfortunate this has to fall on the responsibility of Mint, rather than an individual dentist who is no longer employed. I am currently working with the manager on a solution to have all this resolved and hope no extreme measures are necessary. This is a great facility, wonderful people, etc, but I just had an unfortunate negative experience with one dentist. Update* Unfortunately Mint is declining all responsibility for their malpractice and support thereof. I am pursuing with my complaint with the Board of Dentistry as well as speaking with my lawyer. It is unfortunate that a company such as Mint would even take this route claiming what they stand for. It is truly just fluff and aesthetics, deep down, they do not care about their patients, just dollar signs. read more

I was excited to try out Mint however I never even got the chance. They don't seem to respect your time or honor your appt time made. My appt was at 1pm. Arrived 20min early since I was advised to arrive 15min early and as of 1:35pm they still hadn't called me back. I could not afford to wait any longer so I told them I was going to have to leave. The girl came out and said she could see me now but the service was going to take an hour. I guess if you decide to go expect to be there 2-3hrs. Now I have to search for another dentist and take off of work again. Very frustrating. read more

Let me tell you about my friends at @mintdentistry ... it had been a HOT MINUTE since I had been to the dentist ... not only did they squeeze me in because it was a minor emergency, but once I got there their staff, atmosphere and care could not have been better! They walked me through everything - and they didn't make me feel like an idiot for avoiding the dentist like the plague. I sat in my massage chair, yes massage chair and was given beat headphones and an option to watch some Netflix on my personal TV in front of my chair. My dentist came to my side and explained what was going on in my mouth and how he was going to fix it. This whole experience has been incredible. read more

This location is horrible! I scheduled cleanings in November for my fiancé and I. I was so impressed with my first visit at the Grapevine location that I wanted him to try Mint since we are new to Texas. We both work in Irving, so I thought it would be perfect. First, I had to fill out all the paperwork again and I don't understand why. Second, they didn't have my fiancé's appointment. I will stick with the Grapevine location from now on. read more

I was previously seen at the other MINT location near MacArthur High School after I chipped a front tooth. It was very noticeable and very embarrassing, so I was happy to get in and get it fixed that day. They were able to fix it with a filling rather than a very expensive crown. It lasted a couple of years and recently came off. So I take time off work and go into the new location in Las Colinas. Explain the exact same thing to them and was sat down, had a female dentist literally take 5 seconds to look at it and say "Yep, you need a crown." I advised I had a filling that lasted for 2 years and those are only hundreds or less dollars to fix, vs a $2,000+ plus crown. Dentist did not care what my money concerns were or that I requested a filling again, they quickly ushered me out of the dental chair and back up front to discuss the payment for a crown, which would be in excess of $2k. I explained I couldn't afford that and was hoping to get it fixed that same day with a filling again, but they didn't care. Basically just said the crown was my only option and sent me on my way since I obviously didn't have that kind of money. I am still walking around with a chipped front tooth. Oh, and the $2k they said I would have to pay was AFTER my insurance paid a portion. They didn't care at all about me as a patient, all they cared about was money. I was disgusted when I left there, and I will never use this dentist again. They do NOT care about you, they only care about money!!! The female dentist was so uncaring and arrogant, she did not listen to my concerns and literally took 5 seconds to look at my tooth. No Xrays or anything else were done on this day. read more

You get what you pay for I went and I had some " work" done. First they stated they could put a new crowd on the front of my tooth they gave me novocaine had my mouth all numb just for this young dentist to come and say she was scared to do the crown Then a different day I went in there and they were suppose to put a filling in the tooth they prepped the tooth and everything, just for the dentist to say she couldn't do it. When they numbed me and didn't work on my tooth that was the last straw so I went to REAL dentist a experienced one not the new dentist Mint has fresh out of dental school. The Dentist I went to fixed all my teeth and did all the work Mint claimed they could do. My current dentist saw a temporary crown mint had put on my tooth she said they already prepped it just go back and have them put the permanent crown on well I called Mint and they stated they never put a temp crown on me and that I was do for a bridge which was 1300.00 I said really because Im staring at a crown you put on my tooth now she stated she had no record of them doing that she stated the notes said I need a bridge I wasn't even surprised they were that unorganized don't waste you money or time read more

I did my part. I confirmed appointment, I confirmed insurance details before appointment and I was here 15 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment. But I waited for a hour and 30 minutes to be seen by a dentist. Absolutely zero regard for other's time. It hasn't been all bad though. The staff is friendly and the office is decorated beautifully. Terrible dentist work and customer service. Came in as a first time customer. The left-bottom side of mouth hurt to chew on so I got the recommended fillings even on the right side that didn't hurt but they said needed a cavity filling. At least 4 appointments later and so many hours taken off work I still can't chew on my left side. On the last visit they decided to blame my pain on another tooth, never mentioned before, that has no pain when they examined it and it's outside of the area where it was painful to chew. That's when I realized they had no idea what they were doing. Nobody from the office will call me back after telling me multiple times that they would. I've requested a formal refund multiple times because every time I call they say there is no record of refund request. I feel disrespected and unappreciated as a customer who came in with pain, paid good money, and still have the exact same pain. read more

I encourage you to get to know a place before you write a review. This place is about tooth wealth not tooth health. Their focus is to work on the expensive tooth, the tooth that needs a root canal while dismissing the fact you need a simple filling to prevent cavities. They switch dentist like diapers (inconsistent) service. If you want a root canal go here but if you want sincere service that is focus on dental health don't fall for this radio commercial gimmick. They totally disregard tooth health and only want your money. read more

Nice clean facility that utilizes the newest technology. The staff is amazing, and they couldn't be nicer. The Dentists I saw were very upfront with me about my on going treatments and answered my questions thoroughly. Additionally, the office staff went over my insurance questions so that I wouldn't have any surprises in my future visits. I was not happy about the service here, they told me they would call me and let me know what my insurance covered and did not cover as soon as "their system was up". I never got a call. I had to call and ask them, then they charge double to your insurance than what they would charge someone without insurance. $1300.00 for a deep cleaning is a little ridiculous. Please DO NOT book an appointment here. My appointment was schedule at 2:10 for a Dental Cleaning. I arrived at 2:05, completed my paperwork, and turned it in at 2:12. From there, I then proceeded to wait over ONE HOUR AND 30 MINUTES to never be seen! I was extremely upset to have to wait 1 hour 40 min for a dental cleaning. Seriously? This was not my first visit with Mint Dentistry. None of the front desk notified me or updated me until I finally ask after over an 1 1/2 hours of sitting there where I was at. She then responded "It'll be another 15 minutes" Are you kidding me? Finally, at 3:45 I just got up and left. The staff tried to apologize but this completely unacceptable, I have no problem with a decent waiting time but 1 hour and 40 minutes is NEVER OK. MINT Dentistry has wonderful marketing but HORRIBLE scheduling and customer service. I will never refer ANYONE nor will I return to this company again. read more
