Ms. Mecoli came to get me with a bright smile and an upbeat, bubbly personality. She explained everything clearly and made sure I knew exactly what was happening before numbing my gums. Super professional and super friendly. Yuliet and Dr. Bali completed my cleaning, and they were fantastic. They had such gentle hands and great customer service, checking in with me throughout the entire process to make sure I was comfortable. Truly one of the best cleanings I've had. This is a late review, but I came here. I guess it's been a year or so ago because my bridge from my previous dentist was coming out and I needed it replaced because it had been over five years. I was informed after I had my appointment and everything that I had to call my insurance to find out how much the bridge replacement was gonna cost. I'm so sorry, but that shouldn't be my job to call the insurance and find out how much things are supposed to be that's what I'm paying for your services for. I'm not an insurance specialist. No regard for patients time and poor patient relations. My son had an appointment scheduled at Mint Dentistry west oaks for May 1, 2025 at 4:30 pm. I received several reminders of the appointment leading up to May 1st. The day of the appointment, at 3:02 pm I received a text that an earlier appointment was available please call or respond to text if I would like to reschedule. In the same minute, I received another text my appointment is scheduled for 4pm. I called the Mint Dentistry number located online. I spoke to nice gentleman who confirmed my appointment was still scheduled for 4:30pm, they were just trying to get me in earlier but he could see, I'm still scheduled for 4:30pm. I arrived on the parking lot at 4:29pm walked in and was informed the doctor left and there was no one available to do my son's cleaning. My first question was why didn't anyone call me to notify me. The receptionist stated she did. I said no, I didn't receive a call, I only received a text and I even called to confirm the appointment was still scheduled. I stated, I would not have wasted my time. If I give no stars I would. I completely understand the staff and doctor may have wanted to go home for the day but to reschedule an appointment without consent, not actually speak to the patient or guardian and act like all is well when they arrive and casually say the doctor left, like it's no big deal is unbefitting. People's time is valuable. Obviously, that's why the doctor left early. But I guess it's okay to have the patient waste their time and arrive at an appointment that the staff took the liberty to reschedule. If the appointment time wasn't an option or inconvenient to the doctor or the staff they shouldn't offer it during scheduling. This situation could have been handled better, where everyone's timing was considered, not just the doctors or the staff. They also could have had a little more care and concern for patient timing. Even If I would have received a call 15-20 minutes before, that's more courteous than arriving to an appointment just to be told no one's there to conduct the cleaning. I made an appointment on a Friday for the following Monday. I confirmed with my insurance company that I was covered at 100% and also by Mint. I took Monday off for 3 scheduled appointment and was able to push up my Mint appointment a couple hours before because I got out of the previous appt. earlier. I arrived and had no paperwork because I filled it out online which was such a seamless process, no more than 15 minutes. The receptionist's were dolls, so sweet with impeccable follow-up. I never had to walk up to the counter while waiting because they kept me abreast on what was going on. I ended up waiting about 20 minutes because of an insurance issue and previous dental history. No biggie. I had no where to be. Still unable to square away my insurance issue they let me go back anyway. The dental assistant (Ebony I want to say) was sooooooo personable and we talked about music while she was doing my x-rays and also making the molds for my teeth. After a while, Dr. Edwards walked in, all 52 showing. Before he introduced himself and shook my hand, his energy was just so great. He was personable and answered all of my questions. Shortly after I left out with my pretty black swag bag including my teeth molds for whitening which are free, tooth paste, floss and the glasses given to me to protect my eyes from the lights while my teeth were being cleaned. New to Houston I chose Mint because I really wanted to use my benefits before the new year (real talk...use them or lose them) and I always hear them on the radio station 93.7. I was a bit apprehensive because I figured with them being constantly promoted on the radio, they would be extremely busy and the customer service would suffer. Absolutely not. They are a great team and you just feel welcomed there. Oh! You also get headphones if you want to listen to music, they have charger cords and wireless charging devices in the lobby while you wait, ipads if you want to surf the net AND there was a tv in the back room they took me to where I chose to listen to Jidena on youtube during my cleaning. I can't name a person who likes the dentist. All I'm saying is if you have to have somebody all in ya grill poking and prodding, go somewhere where you are atleast at ease and can enjoy the sometimes uncomfortable experience. read more

This is my second visit at this location and as expected it also lives up to the MINT dentistry reputation. I came back to West Oaks location because the service is so amazing although the new Cypress location is closer to me. They always seem genuinely happy to make you smile and explain the process very well. I've never had to wait for an appointment too start after arriving. The office is top notch. iPads, Beats headphones, flat screen TVs in every station loaded with Netflix and Pandora. On top of that the dental chairs are heated massage chairs!!! No more freezing in the office. My needs are always addressed upfront, they don't upsell or rope you into unesessary procedures. I feel they are honest about the condition/health of my teeth unlike other dentist's I have been to. I'm addicted to their whitening gel. I like to touch up my whitening every 2 to 3 months. I have referred friends and family for this gel. I will keep returning because it doesn't get any better than this and I don't play about my teeth. read more

The one star is for the hardworking dentist and hygienists that were part of the treatment. Everything else about my experience was awful. I waited an hour and a half to be seen for X-rays and cleanings and was told that the fillings I needed could be done that day. Another hour later, was told the prices of the treatment, which were ridiculously overpriced even with my insurance, but I agreed seeing as I was told by the office manager that all treatment could be done that day. After another hour and a half, I was greeted by the dentist who told me they could only do one side of my mouth and that the office manager gave me the wrong information. Apparently they were having scheduling and communication mishaps between departments... an indication of a poorly run business. Finally, after five hours of waiting patiently, I was sent on my way. I was reimbursed for the time I waited in the waiting room. (Something like $2 every minute I waited prior to being seen off of my bill). However, it was absolutely not worth it all. I went in for a 12:45pm appointment and left at nearly 6pm. That was definitely not ok. I missed out on work for this. As for the "luxurious" feel, I'd say it was far from it. The office was playing loud gospel music... easy to get around seeing as I brought my own headphones (I don't find it all that sanitary to use the headphones they offered everyone). The massage chairs were worn and not exactly comfortable. Or perhaps the worn out chairs just became increasingly uncomfortable from sitting there for like three hours... who knows. The free teeth whitening they offer isn't worth it. Find a dentist office that won't charge insane amounts for basic services and that actually knows how to manage their business properly... read more

Had an appointment back in July, waited almost 30 minutes past my scheduled appt time to actually get called in. the front desk needs better training as no one mentioned not once they were running behind nor did they even apologize for this inconvenience. The actual dental team was nice and made me feel comfortable. I didn't really like that all the rooms are open with no doors, i could hear other people's consultations and as I am someone who has several dental issues I found it quite embarrassing. Even the X-ray that was out in the middle of the hallway was beyond embarrassing. The staff though did make up for those things - however, the billing staff/reception (whoever handles insurance) gets 0 stars. They were supposed to file a claim for me back at the time of my initial visit in July 2021 - they did tell me it could be up to 15 weeks before they'd hear something back from them Here comes September and I' just wanted to get an update - turns out they never submitted the claim to insurance to even get approved!! I also had to explain which procedure I wanted, mind you while I know I have several issues to address, this was the only "bridge" I required on the top row of teeth yet the woman on the phone didn't know what I was talking about. They didn't apologize ONCE for this issue that was due to their negligence and unsurprisingly they pinned it on insurance yet again after originally admitting "they didn't know which procedure I wanted to get done first"?! That makes zero sense. But again, I let it go and said fine, i will wait. Fast forward it is now December and no call (but it's fine because I found a much better dental office that actually values my time) and I get an email saying I have an appointment for January 2022 (how convenient in the year right?) I call just to say I never scheduled an appointment and I didn't even know what is was for but while I had them on the line could they give me an update on the approval. They say their policy has recently changed and they could go ahead and do the procedure without waiting for an approval and insurance will just reimburse me for what I pay extra. SHOCKER. In summary there is much more to this story but bottom line is I will never waste another penny with MINT nor will I recommend them to anyone ever. read more

This is probably the best dentist that I've been to! #1, I don't like the dentist AT ALL. However, it's been years that I went to one so I told myself that I need to do an annual & cleaning. Everything was A1, and I mean everything! I came a little late due to traffic but they were very comforting about it. I was also given an IPad with beats headphones to occupy myself while I wait. Then when I went into the exam area, they turned on whatever show I wanted & the massage chair. Tbh I forgot that I was at the dentist for a moment. The staff & service was superb. I had Pricilla? & Karen. They were both awesome and sweet. Pricilla made sure I was comfortable and gentle while taking my x-rays. Karen was my dental hygienist, and she walked me through every step she as doing. She was gentle and very fast efficient. Actually both of the ladies were! Pleasantly surprised at the level of service. No, like really, gloriously, happy with how my appointment turned out. I'm not a fan of going to the dentist (like a lot of folks) but my visit to Mint Dentistry West Oaks went extremely well. Walked in and was immediately greeted by Stephanie, who made checking in a breeze, X-rays and initial first time necessities were expertly handled by Kiara, and my exam and cleaning were easily and beautifully completed by Dr. Ali and Mr. (Dr.?) Danilo. Every step was explained and I was asked multiple times if anything was uncomfortable or painful. Last, but certainly not least, Curtis, the office manager, made sure I understood what was happening, costs, and options. FYI, this is how you spoil customers/patients and keep them coming back! Honestly, everybody seemed to enjoy what they do and worked together extremely well together. Places like this reduce the stress/anxiety of going to the dentist and make it less like a chore to have to schedule. I mean, I made my own appointment online and as someone who hates getting on the phone and having to negotiate times, dates, and insurance, they had me halfway satisfied just by the online process alone! I only switched my dental location because of their advertisement on the radio. My appointment was at 12:30pm and I did not leave until 1:45pm. My trays for my teeth whitening weren't ready and I did not receive any services like the traditional cleaning to make up for the amount of time I was there. I had to reschedule the cleaning for another day because I was on a lunch break. While the Netflix is a great distraction to the amount of time you will be in a MINT dentistry, I prefer fast and efficient service. Slightly disappointed new patient. read more

Haven't been and years and made me feel comfortable and the experience was very informative an Update they literally make you write a review for a free teeth whitening that is literally a gel pen for teeth you take home....supposedly my insurance didn't cover much (and I have good dental care) they are extremely high I end up paying more and that $5 sign up didn't really help at all except drop my high bill from $100 to $55 which was wayyy too expensive for my first time. They also didn't inform me that a deep cleaning would make my teeth sensitive for over a week. read more

The office staff were very nice and welcoming. They explained pricing very clearly. I showed up at 10:50am for my 11:00am appointment to be told that they hadn't been able to verify my insurance. No one called me prior to my arrival. I will say the two lady's for CSR were very polite. I looked up my insurance on line and it seemed that my name was still my maiden name under my insurance. So they said they would run it again. I waited until 11:45 to be told It would be another 35 minute wait just to verify my insurance. So almost an hour later. I left. The ladies were nice however no communication prior and the fact it would have taken over 90 mins to verify insurance is ridiculous. read more

I dealt with weeks of sensitivity after having a filling redone per the doctor's recommendation, when I only went in for a cleaning. I had no discomfort prior to my visit. I should have gone back sooner to have them rectify the problem, but I just dread dental procedures... no matter how comfortable the chairs or the size of the flat screen t.v.'s 11 months later, and the same filling has broken! After seeing all the rave reviews I decided to give this place a try. Honestly it was mediocre,and the service was subpar. They did offer all the amenities but this location was just OK. I don't know if my expectations were too high or what but I was disappointed. Not to mention they said that because of my insurance I could only get half of my mouth cleaned!!!! That's right they cleaned half my mouth and told me I had to come back another day to get the other half cleaned. Well I reported this to my job and they told me this was not true.Nobody had ever heard of this before. Update**************** I contacted Delta Dental and in fact that is the way they bill it. If I could rate 0 I would!!!!! Awful organization. They scheduled me for a cleaning, had me to go Orthodontist get my wires off to do my cleaning. Then when I arrive receptionist says my appt is cancelled because I did not confirm via text. A text that was NEVER sent to me because they had the wrong number in the system. Then she said she could get me in but had to verify dental insurance but that would take at least 30 mins. And would probably take longer because it's the beginning of the year. Which has NOTHING to do with me and how they screwed up. No one was apologetic at the fact that I took off to get all of this done, drove across town and they screwed up. And i still had an appt to go back to my ortho to get my wires back on. And if you cancelled my appt why wouldn't you send me an email saying it was cancelled. This organization is a COMPLETE joke. All they want is money and dOnt care about the customers because they have all these radio commercials advertising with the big wigs now. I hardly ever put in bad reviews but this has me extremely FURIOUS. My friend shared with me later that they all most killed her at a loCation in Dallas because the nurse had the gas turned up too high. Please don't be fooled by all the radio hype. I have visited this location for three separate appointments and they have been late to seat me for my scheduled appointment every time! 1.5 hours, 1 hour and finally 37 minutes. A great dental experience is important but my time is valuable. I will not return. Update: Thank you for doing what you could to make sure my last appointment time was kept.
