Even if you can't fly direct to your final location, you can sometimes find some solid connections from nearby CA travel hubs like San Francisco & LAX, as well as other major airports such as Phoenix or Denver.

He was able to be fully hands on for his intro lesson/experience and the process from start to finish was smooth. As the wife, I was able to bring our baby and watch take off and landing. I had my own questions in regards to the process of getting a pilot's license and we met with very friendly staff who were easy to talk to. I was also very comfortable getting a front row seat by the window from their center. Even got to check out the plane after my husband and his instructor landed. Not sure if anything is missing until we get home and check. I was told by staff that none of this damage is covered. Only if the suitcase cracked or had a hole. You can clearly see this suitcase was thrown around more than is normal. I was told that's just the cost of travel and that I should take a hairdryer and try to take the dent out myself and repair the zipper because as long as it's usable it's not covered and zippers are not covered either. This was an almost new good quality set and it would not look like that unless it was mishandled. ​​​Staff was completely non chalant about it, no apology, pretty much borderline mocking me for even thinking they should be responsible and seemed inconvenienced by filing a claim for me saying it's just a waste of time because it will be denied. They did say if we find anything missing when we get home we could call the claim number but did not say if it would be covered. I did not want to open the bag completely there because the zipper was broken and barely holding in the stuff and it would be difficult to get it to the car if we couldn't get it zippered back up. Aweful treatment of luggage, poor customer service, very uncaring and not supportive at all. Will not fly with them again. ​

He said that my destination required an automatic $25 fee and ask me if I wanted him to drive me back home to drop me off. Since I was going to be late for an appointment I told him just to go ahead and keep driving. After the driver dropped me off I called Azteca cab company to tell them about my experience about the driver not using the fare meter and spoke to Jesse. He told me that no taxi cab companies in Bakersfield California use meters anymore because of the high price of gas and that actually $25 was a very fair price because to go to my destination it would have been much more. After I got back home by Uber I Googled what the city regulations are and discovered that all taxi cabs in Bakersfield are required to use a meter. ​

He not only offered us a very fair price for what turned out to be a four-hour trip home, but he was also friendly, professional, and genuinely kind. Despite the late hour (11 PM to 3 AM) and the long distance, Arturo kept the ride comfortable and safe, and we had a long, engaging conversation that made the time fly. I was already tired from driving earlier in the day, but his professionalism and great company made all the difference. With no communication and thirty minutes left to board they delay my flight. No biggie I have time still to catch my next flight. Nope another thirty minute delay all the time not communicating to us. Still could make my next flight but it's tight. Again no communication our plane shows up everyone exits but we are delayed again for thirty minutes. I go see the lady now. She says I can handle the missed flight arrangements in Dallas. I chose that option. I chose wrong. American Airlines did me dirty. Customer service was over 100 people long for four agents. It was 9pm the restaurants were closed or closing. Terrible customer service. Will try and fly anyone else I can from now on.
