The online booking, check in, and registration was so smooth and took less than 3 mins!! I got in so quickly which I was grateful for given I was in so much pain. I was in queue prior to arriving, knew my place, and the time I would be seen. You can even provide your location and the system calls to let you know it's now time to leave. AND they even followed up with a phone call to let me know it was time to leave, if I hadn't. The woman who checked took my co-pay was great and had everything ready before I even walked in the door. The tech who did triage and took my blood pressure etc. was also skilled, experienced, and was so attentive & reassuring. She was also patient when I had to call my sister (also a DR.) about a few history type items. I got the most amazing thorough care from my NP, Chioma Okechukwu. She was direct, knowledgeable, and was able to provide a correct diagnosis from what I thought coming in. It was late at night so she rushed in a script so I was able to collect it before CVS closed and so I could get the first restful night sleep without pain that I have had in a very long time. I am so grateful for CareNow Urgent Care. This was a better experience than I have ever had at the ER and much much much LESS $!! Better healthcare at a lower cost, didn't think that was possible anymore. The follow up care instructions were very clear and even highlighted by the NP in the key parts. They sent a text to follow up the next day and forwarded all the details of my visit to my primary care. SO SMOOTH!!!!

Friendly, efficient, and made me feel comfortable right away. I was then seen by Gad, who was also great. He quickly assessed what was going on, prescribed some allergy medication, and had me on my way. The entire visit took less than 35 minutes, which is amazing. Fast, professional, and super convenient--I would highly recommend this urgent care spot!

It's important to note they are an urgent care, not an emergency room. The staff is attentive and friendly, with genuine concern for your malady. I can note all the times my family has visited they will see a nurse practitioner. To some that may be a sticking point, but if you need to be seen for something minor this urgent care is great. I'd definitely make an appointment online for times sake, but the onboarding is easy and you can establish an account if you need to go back. I can even say cash pay prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend this location for your minor care needs during the week and weekends if you can't get to your normal doctor.

It took them 13 business days (M-F) - otherwise known as 2.5 WEEKS to respond back to me. And I had sent TWO follow up messages after my initial message because of how long it was taking for them to respond. The portal message center says allow UP to 5 days for a response. Fine, I did! But almost 3 weeks for ONE response!?? Freaking ridiculous. The person who I've been messaging is "MA Tierra A". Awful. Slow. And selectively picks what to respond to so you have to ask again for the other answers and it takes weeks and weeks to hear back. I'm in the process of finding a new doctor. This whole situation has put a bad taste in my mouth. They were so so to start off with, but their communication is god awful and slow as all heck.

He's extremely kind, patient, and overall an excellent doctor. I enjoy having him as my PCP. I just wish I didn't have to schedule so far out for an appointment. It's a blessing and a curse, because he's so popular! Mariana Racovita- I recently had an acute visit with Mariana and she was wonderful. Kind, courteous and more importantly thorough. I'd love to continue seeing her as well. The other staff (medical assistants and front desk) have been good for the most part. i've gone to this urgent care over the years. the wait time varies but is often long…read more I appreciate being able to email them my health history and medication list, as both are long & complex. I think my doing that may be why the Dr who saw me took me seriously, (i saw he had printed out my health history and had highlighted things in it) and spent more time with me than others have. I was super anxious, wayyyyg overtired, and experiencing very intense restless leg (and other parts of my body) syndrome with many forceful spasms, all my muscles in my body were tightly clenched and i couldn't get them to relax and I was also in a lot of pain (this was due to a recent medication change, and my having a bad reaction to it), which I told them. So, at first I was disappointed because Dr. Joe told me that they couldn't give me muscle relaxers bc they would amplify the effects of the drug i was on that I was badly reacting to, so I felt like crying because i didn't know what to do, how to get help. Dr. Joe recommended I go back to my original dosage of the medication, and took the time to show me stretches i could do, and recommended that I take pedialyte or coconut water, and use arnica cream. i followed his advice, got the arnica tablets for leg cramps (i took 6) and the arnica cream for arthritic relief, which i rubbed all over myself. i drank coconut water and went back to my usual dosage of the medication, and did stretches and doing these things worked; got a full 8 hrs of sleep and only had a few leg spasms the whole night! my muscles feel relaxed now, and I am super grateful for that. I appreciate Dr. Joe listening and taking me seriously and recommending all he did, bc i am now back to my normal level of poor health, which is so much less bad than it was before Dr. Joe's help. The PA, Gladys Huertas, would not even look at it before declining to treat me. This is absolutely horrible medical care, especially given how minor this is. I just didn't want to let it go to Monday from Friday evening and did not feel that I needed to go to an emergency room and sit for six hours give or take. It was oozing a little bit and just felt that antibiotics would probably be in order. My surgeon is out of the city and wanted to get something sooner. I would not recommend going to this clinic for anything other than putting a Band-Aid on a small cut to make somebody feel better because they obviously cannot give any level of care above that! I worked the medical field for 20 years as a registered x-ray technologist.

It was terrible and I struggled to walk or get into places because of that fatigue. I came with my boyfriend who assisted me to the clinic. I gotten into their registration via paperwork and online they wanted both. I sat back down and was told to come into a room. The tech came to get vitals then a APN came. She was nice and not rushing me. She did a test on me which concluded into diagnosing me with COVID and the flu. So no wonder I felt like horse dung. That was back in November. Then, I came here again to be diagnosed with the flu for children. Again, I was treated with quality of care which the front staff and NP were extremely nice as well as patient. The consistency matters and with St. David's Medical group you get that. Both times I was prescribed medications which aided in my wellness. The waiting room is clean and they have television playing movies. Each time I'm sick in Austin, I'm coming here without a doubt.

I always leave the clinic encouraged, holding a detailed treatment plan that is so easy to follow that even my thick, male, Cro-Magnon brain can understand it ..... The staff are equally skilled and responsive: they remind me of lab visits via telephone, email and text. They even promptly answer crazy questions...... the clinic also has a portal that I can type issues directly to Laurelin and get a quick personal response. Like a few other, I loved this practice when it was still Balcones Woods Family Medicine. When they…read morewere taken over my Seton, things went downhill. My daughter (15) and I both saw them for primary care. I left after I went in twice for a sinus infection and they refused me antibiotics, which I had not taken in more than a decade. I went to an ENT after that. He was SHOCKED that they didn't prescribe me meds. I ended up on them for much longer than I would have liked for a very common infection. Here was the kicker for me: My daughter liked their nurse practitioner Laurelin Mullins, so I continued taking her there. My daughter has ADHD, for which she was treated at Balcones Woods Family Medicine before it changed hands. On April 1, 2019, her high school sent a form over to confirm my kid's ADHD (so she could get accommodations), the practice did nothing for two weeks. I called and they found the form after much searching. Then NP Mullins refused to sign the form because she hasn't been treated for ADHD since they were taken over by Seton. She didn't attempt to help at all (for example, I have a neuropsych's report etc. that I would have provided to assist; they could have looked at old records, etc.). Regardless of the fact that she was treated at that clinic, they didn't sign the forms. This means my daughter is still waiting for her accommodations at school. The practice should not treat children who need accommodations this way. Even the high school was surprised and they do this all the time. They aren't nearly as caring with patients as they used to be. We won't be going back.

Gave me a prescription and was told to take it until I heard back, once I heard back they told me I didn't need that prescription but wouldn't give me any answers as to what I did need.
