They let a woman with the same cold as me in an exam room before me and she was booked an hour after me! I'm surprised there isn't a better dress code. Staff was wearing personal hoodies over scrubs with various brand names and loose sleeves. I think it would be more professional and hygienic if they were provided uniform jackets or fitted long sleeves to wear under their scrubs. It made me feel like teenagers were working on me ...

AMR will leisurely drive you three miles to the actual ER down the street and charge you $10K for mysterious things they will refuse to provide you with an itemized bill for. Assuming you have insurance, they will refuse to pay for any of this unjustified nonsense and AMR will start sending you a lot of mail about a year and a half after you've completely forgotten about the ambulance ride. Just go to the ER yourself and save the trouble. On the plus side, AMR seems to know they'll never collect on any of these inflated claims and none of their threatening letters ever actually amount to anything.

There was this one time I called last minute for a physical exam for my CNA program. The lady helped squeezed me in for an appointment right before my turn in date. My most recent visit was another physical into my LVN program and they were booked until the next month. I told them I needed the physical sooner and the guy was so helpful he told me of a cancellation and asked if I wanted it, which I did! The waits can take from 10-15 minutes which isn't too bad considering how packed and busy they are most of the time. The staff are all very nice and friendly. The nurses took their time when they saw me and never rushed my visits. They paid attention to my concerns and explained certain conditions and medications to me. The male LVN that helped drew my blood for my physical was very nice and talked me through the process so I knew what he was doing the whole time while educating me about drawing blood and LVN related stuff. Nurse practitioner Kelava was also very nice! I've seen her twice and she was super friendly and knowledgeable. On two occasions, I came in with some health issue and she diagnosed me and prescribed me meds which help me a lot. Very great team of healthcare professionals :)

Despite his fantastic PPO insurance coverage, nobody would help me, and I had significant difficulty securing a timely & reasonably-priced PCP visit for him. Finally, I decided to take him to GoHealth Urgent Care in Daly City. I'm so glad I did. I almost fell into the alluring One Medical Group (Amazon) trap, but I'm glad I read the fine print and chose GoHealth and Dr. Melanie Martin! I was able to (without ANY hassle or extensive detail) "hold a spot" in line (online) with GoHealth for my fiancée. The medical assistant, Leann was so sweet, she checked us in, answered our questions, explained it was a busy afternoon - and then I saw her juggle multiple patients and phone calls seamlessly. *IMPORTANT*: UNLIKE One Medical and other groups, Leann, PERSONALLY, double-checked the insurance card/status and confirmed AHEAD OF TIME that all we would need to pay was my fiancée's $20 copay. NOTHING ELSE. Whew. Dr. Melanie Martin - I don't know where to start! She's awesome! She was VERY kind, and VERY thorough - she listened to my fiancée and also listened to me; she was concerned about our concerns - it was a collective effort. She did not rush - she exemplifies what medical care used to be. She's a rare gem. Although we couldn't solve the mystery/problem at hand, Dr. Martin gave us extremely valuable baseline information and suggestions for next steps... THANK YOU TO THE TEAM IN DALY CITY! EVERYONE DESERVES A RAISE!

He treated us with so much patience and kindness from the moment he walked in. He took the time to really listen to my concerns, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and never made me feel rushed. What I appreciated most was how calmly and clearly he explained everything to me. He provided a lot of helpful information that put my mind at ease and helped me better understand what was going on with my child. As a worried mom, that meant the world to me. It's rare to find a doctor who combines professionalism with such genuine compassion. Dr. Tetwiler truly made a stressful situation much easier for both my toddler and me. I'm incredibly grateful for the care we received and would highly recommend him.

I have called the office approximately six times and spoke with a scheduler named Catalina. During these interactions, I found her demeanor to be rude and unprofessional. Initially, she scheduled me for an appointment, then later called to reschedule it. I clearly informed her that I was unable to attend the new appointment date. Despite this, she scheduled the appointment anyway, without my consent, which resulted in a missed appointment on my record. When I called the office again to address this issue, I was informed that the next available appointment with Ms. O'Brien is not until March. This situation is extremely frustrating, as the missed appointment was not due to my actions or lack of communication, but rather a scheduling change made without my permission. I am disappointed by the lack of respect for my time and the poor communication I experienced.

My personal story is unwillingly rescheduled appointment because they don't have enough time for me. They are unable to offer makeup options like squeezing me in asap because it is their fault to reschedule me. Instead, all they can do is put me in the regular queue. The attitude I get is "sorry, but I only care about our schedules and getting off work on time". And I had always experienced last minute cancellation due to their chaotic management. I can see that they want to grow big but if they really want to be competitive and being viewed as professionals, they need to be truly helpful and flexible for patients' needs.

You're not going to get any help at NEMS if you have any health concern.

I sat and wait for 30 mins before I saw anyone. The staff was moving at snail pace and look like they had no care in the world. I finally saw a nurse practitioner for less than 5 mins who did not do anything and said that I should go to the ER instead of urgent care. As a former health care worker and someone who has worked in urgent care I didn't think my swollen eye was life threatening and just need antibiotic which was what ED doctor ended up prescribing. She was very hesitant in suggesting a test kit for the symptoms I was telling her about, so much so that I myself thought it would be a bad idea. Okay, fine, 4/5 stars so far, valid explanation for why I would be denied service, and then she reimbursed my $50 copay. Okay, so far nothing worth crying about. She suggested me to reach out to my primary care doctor at the end of the conversation. I then spent the following hours of my day getting over the counter meds for my symptoms. I also reached out to my primary care doctor, who just so happens to be on vacation for a few more days. Long story short, 3 days later the OTC meds did not work, and my symptoms are getting worse. I called in for another visit today, hoping that explaining my worsening symptoms would lead me to get prescribed something that could help me. I couldn't even get past the registration segment. The online form was stuck on the insurance verification screen, and I tried filling it out on both my laptop and phone, but to no avail. I called them and left them a voicemail, and I have yet to receive a call back. By this time, my online appointment I had scheduled was 45 minutes over due. I didn't bother visiting again in person today because I have other obligations to tend to, which is why I opted to visit through telehealth. Result of all my efforts? Worsening symptoms that have still not yet been addressed. 3/5 because the people at the front desk were somewhat nice to me and because I got refunded the $50 copay for my initial in person visit. Otherwise it would have been a 1/5.
