But because I was on an old membership system (that they haven't transitioned over and reconciled with their new system) then they informed me even if they could add my membership to the new system that if you have membership you CANNOT use the app rewards because that would be too much of a discount. They then asked if I wanted to cancel my current membership to be on their new system and I'd have to pay my membership cost again even though I already paid this month. As I don't think it's my job to switch my membership over when they changed systems I told them I'd wait until they could do it themselves. After all this I still decided to get an IV because I've been feeling under the weather. Usually they do the iv insertion in the relaxing iv rooms but today they brought me into a back room. When I told the girl my preferred arm she gasped and said your veins are so tiny. She then requested to use the other arm because she couldn't find the vein in my preferred arm. She then stabbed my arm and missed the vein. She tried to wiggle the needle around in my arm (it feels as awful as it sounds) and then said oh nope this one won't take. I then politely told her I was done and wanted to leave. She didn't nor see me experience or capable of finding my veins ... which was not reassuring. I do have small veins but I've never had an issue like this before. On top of feeling sick I wasted time figuring out their new system only for them to be unable and unqualified to give me an IV. I would not recommend going here and plan to cancel my membership. The last thing you need when you are sick is a sore arm from a failed IV

A week into my recovery, the wrap covering my leg from knee to toes began to come loose -- something my doctor said could be carefully re-wrapped, but which would be extremely difficult for me to manage on my own due to the extent of my injuries. I came to OnPoint, expecting to receive a few minutes of basic assistance and was stunned when the clerk conferred with the medical staff and informed me that re-wrapping is "not something they get involved with." When I said that I found it hard to believe they would prefer I go home and attempt this myself rather than offer minimal help, I received only a shrug. Since I can't drive myself -- it is my right ankle that is broken -- I had to arrange to be be taken to AFC Urgent Care on Weslayan, where the staff took a few moments to assess my situation and re-wrapped the loosened area without hesitation. They even invited me to return if the wrap should come loose again before my follow-up appointment. I understand urgent care facilities have limitations, but refusing to spend five minutes assisting a patient with a serious fracture -- particularly one who cannot simply drive herself elsewhere -- reflects poorly on this practice. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend OnPoint to anyone in a vulnerable sitution.

I'm incredibly grateful for the care I received at AFC Urgent Care…read more After being sick for several days with what started as a cold, I initially visited another urgent care clinic (a different company). I was diagnosed with a viral upper respiratory infection and was only advised to use over-the-counter remedies like Tylenol, throat spray, and Flonase. Unfortunately, my symptoms continued to worsen over the next few days. By the time I decided to go to AFC Urgent Care, my condition had progressed significantly. The congestion had moved into my chest, I was experiencing severe coughing fits that made it difficult to breathe deeply, my body was extremely achy and lethargic, and I had developed wheezing and what felt like bronchitis. From the moment I walked in, the team at AFC took my symptoms seriously and addressed every concern with care and urgency. Because my blood pressure was elevated, they even performed an EKG to rule out any heart issues. They also ordered a chest X-ray to make sure I didn't have pneumonia since my lungs sounded concerning and I was wheezing. They treated me immediately with a steroid shot in the office and sent me home with a comprehensive treatment plan that included a steroid pack, a Z-Pak antibiotic, an inhaler, and prescription cough syrup to help with the severe coughing and difficulty sleeping. What stood out most was how every single person I interacted with -- from the front desk staff to the nurse practitioner -- treated me with genuine compassion and professionalism. They listened, thoroughly assessed my condition, and made me feel truly cared for. I left feeling confident that my concerns had been taken seriously and that I was on the right path to recovery. Thanks to their prompt and thoughtful care, I'm now improving and finally on the mend. I've been to this AFC location several times over the years and have always had great experiences. I recently moved and tried a closer urgent care clinic, but after that experience I will gladly drive the extra 10 minutes to come back here. The level of care and attentiveness from this team is absolutely worth it. Thank you to the entire staff at AFC Urgent Care for the incredible work you do and for helping me feel better. Your dedication truly makes a difference.

At the time, I was experiencing symptoms that felt like an upper respiratory illness -- congestion in my nose and sinuses, throat irritation, dry coughing, and swollen lymph nodes. I went to urgent care hoping to get treatment that might help prevent the illness from getting worse. The staff were friendly and professional throughout the visit, and I do appreciate that they took the time to test me for both the flu and strep throat. Thankfully, both tests came back negative. After the evaluation, I was diagnosed with an acute upper respiratory infection and was prescribed Flonase and advised to use over-the-counter medications such as Tylenol and Ibuprofen along with fluids and rest. However, I left the visit feeling somewhat disappointed. I had come to urgent care specifically because my symptoms were not improving, and I was hoping for treatment that might help stop the illness from progressing. When I asked about stronger medication such as antibiotics, I was told the illness appeared to be viral and that antibiotics were not necessary. While I understand the reasoning behind taking a conservative approach, in my case my condition unfortunately worsened significantly over the next few days. The congestion moved into my chest, and I developed severe coughing fits and breathing discomfort. When I later visited a different urgent care clinic, they treated me with medications including steroids, antibiotics, an inhaler, and cough medicine -- which finally helped me start improving. Because of that experience, I can't help but wonder if a more proactive treatment approach earlier might have helped prevent my illness from getting worse. Again, the staff at this location were courteous and professional, and I do appreciate the testing and initial assessment. However, since my symptoms progressed significantly after this visit, I unfortunately don't feel confident returning to this clinic for future care. My hope in sharing this feedback is simply that providers take into consideration that every patient's body and immune system responds differently, and sometimes people seek urgent care because they need something beyond standard over-the-counter recommendations.

I couldn't take my hand out of a big tumbler of water because the pain was unbearable. The waiting area was completely empty and after giving my info and making my co-payment I still waited another 20 min. Once they called me back and took vitals and directed me to an exam room I saw a very nice NP who proceeded to exam my hand- I told her it was extremely painful and asked if she could put something on it for the pain. Unfortunately there was nothing she could do about the pain, but said she would prescribe a topical pain reliever/ antibiotic cream. She did put a thin sheet of antibiotic on it and wrapped it- which made it hurt worse. She said it was 2nd degree burns and that I should cut off the dead skin once the blisters popped and to keep it clean to avoid infections. This is all 4 fingers, my thumb and part of the palm of my left hand. The NP gave me after care instructions and said she would call in the prescription. I told them which Walgreens I wanted it sent to and left to pick up the prescription. When I arrived at Walgreens I went thru the drive-thru pharmacy, but they hadn't received the prescription yet.. so I called CareNow Urgent and asked if they phoned in the prescription and to confirm the location of the Walgreens. They sent it to a different Walgreens, but said they would send it to the one I requested right now. Meanwhile, I went inside and spoke to the pharmacist he said they hadn't sent anything- so I asked if he could call them because they were going to be closing soon. The Walgreens pharmacist took the info from them over the phone and filled it right then and there. When the pharmacist gave it to me he said the tube was small and the directions said to apply twice a day for seven days and that I wouldn't have enough to do it as they prescribed. I was in excruciating pain and just wanted to get the pain cream on it! I called the CareNow Urgent location today Jan 12th and asked if they could call in another tube today and was told I would have to come back in and be re-examined for them to prescribe more. I told the receptionist that i didn't have another $75 to come in and asked what were my options? She said she would go back and talk to the health provider, Jeff- to see what he says. No call back! I went to this location seeking urgent medical attention for a second degree burn all over my left hand. I paid my co-payment of $75 and they took my insurance information to bill them the rest. They didn't have any of this cream for burns in stock at CareNow to assist/treat patients. The NP applied antibiotic on the burns. The NP who treated me was very nice, but unfortunately didn't know how to dose out the proper amount of a medicine she prescribed. So here I am after seeking their services with a prescription with instructions saying apply for seven days twice a day, but I'll probably be out of the cream after tomorrow or the next day. So I can't complete the care instructions they prescribed because they won't call in the proper amount of medication. I even asked if they could call and speak to the pharmacist that filled the prescription and told me is wasn't enough.
