I hired him for a clog in a toilet at our building and was lead to believe the repair would be extensive requiring work on the street at the main sewar line. I was quoted over $4000 for the job. When Peter came in to do the work, no work was needed at the sewar line. He spent 2-3 hours working inside the building the clear the drain. When he was finished I asked about the bill and he said it would be the quoted amount of $4000+ . I protested stating the job was considerably less time and effort than originally thought and I should be charged his hourly rate for the work. He said I didn't understand that this was the way plumbers charged, by the job and not by the hour. I told hime that has never been my experience . Per some of the other commenters, as a caller, I think you need to be aware of the demand they may be under, for example, dead of winter in a cold spell, they may be getting a ton of calls for heater issues and they are trying their best to get to everyone. They recommend low-quality products and do poor installations. They put in a boiler for me, the heat exchanger broke, and I had to pay them again to install a new one. Now it seems like the system might even be leaking carbon monoxide, and they refuse to come back to inspect it. Their customer service is rude and dismissive. Every job they've done has led to another issue. There are plenty of better HVAC companies out there -- I'd strongly suggest staying away from this one. The problem clearly starts with the owner and the leadership.
