Burrito de Asada, Taco Alambre, Corn Quesadilla Campechano, and Guava Jarritos

This is the best place in all of Michigan for Mexican food. Coming from California I missed the authentic cuisine and this place is definitely authentic!! Everything I've tried on their menu hasn't ever disappointed me, always perfectly seasoned, hot, crispy just perfection. Everyone I've had try Miny's has loved it as well . The service is top notch and always speedy with their orders, also want to not I haven't had any wrong orders for the amount times I've ordered from here! Plus their prices are extremely affordable for the amount of food that you get. Their burrito weighs easily about 2 pounds and is huge Their ambiance is a nice little take away food spot, they have outdoor seating on nice days but overall are not a sit down restaurant for this location. If you wanted indoor seating they also have a location in Ann Arbor :) If you're in the area or craving Mexican food, Miny's is the way to go!!

I absolutely ADORE miny's. Ive been to many Mexican restaurants and even had a good few in Mexico, and these will be the most authentic street style tacos you will ever try in your life. Ive been coming here for the past few months having a taco as my reward after my appointments, and I swear I look forward to this meal for days. Just recently I ended up being one of those annoying customers who walk in with a 12 taco order, and kid you not, they got it to me in 9 minutes (yes, we timed it). Pinky promise, you cant go wrong with Miny's! p.s. there is not indoor seating for dining, only for wait. I believe in the summer they

I only had Miny's a few hours ago and I am already dreaming of coming back. They are carryout or delivery only, and our takeout was ready super quickly. The car ride home was an exercise in patience - the food smelled so good that I just wanted to pull over to the side of the road and eat in the dark like a raccoon. Everything we ordered was great, but the shining star was the hurache. And the food didn't suffer from the 20 minute drive home - no soggy tacos! I wish there was an option to dine in, but Miny's seems to have their routine down. That's all you can ask for!

Yes! Everything about this place made me feel like I was back in AZ. It's a small shop kind of in the middle of nowhere (sorry Ypsi!) conspicuously hidden behind a Subway. Service was really quick and I think I got all my food in less than 3 minutes! I got a slew of tacos, a quesadilla, and horchata. The meat was fresh, high quality, and distinctly delicious. The steak was finely diced, well seasoned, and moist. The cabeza was equal parts meaty, fatty, and collagenous, not for everyone but perfect for me. The barbacoa was shredded and soft and had a nice hint of chipotle. Finally, the fish subverted the traditional crispy filet you see in most taco shops for a more naked, shredded approach, and while I prefer the former, I was not mad at the latter! The quesadilla was a little different than what you'd expect consisting of a larger flour/corn tortilla folded over lettuce, 2 kinds of cheese, and meat. I prefer the purist form more but still pretty great! I'd say the biggest downside was the lack of dine in seating, so I had to eat in the car. My car now smells of salsa verde and onions, but it's a worthy sacrifice!

Miny's is my favorite hidden gem in Ypsi. When I first moved to the area years ago, I fell in love with a great little Mexican restaurant and was crushed when I'd heard that it closed down... However I was simply overjoyed (seriously!) when I heard that the nice New Mexican restaurant in Ypsi is operated by folks who were involved with the old one! Miny's provides an excellent value proposition of great food at low costs. You really can't go wrong with anything you order here. My favorite is the Huarache and you've gotta try out the spicy red salsa as well. There's no seating at the restaurant but the takeout food is great and the staff is super nice. Overall, I'll go ahead and say this -- do yourself a favor and try Miny's! It's simply excellent.

No fuss it's all about the meat filling and the pasa doble of two tortilla shell. Everything tastes homemade, and I am partial to the al pastor. A wonderful tropical pork marinade. The steak is my second go to. Basically a take out store front. lunch and dinner will keep me coming back. Towards the front of a large plaza with Planted Fitness and Dollar store. Signage is a little difficult to see from the road

Al pastor and two asada tacos with avocado! Super delicious and flavorful!

Most of their regular tacos are under $2 and are pretty sizable so this is quite a steal. I like to add avocado on mine which is an extra $0.50 per taco but it's still worth it to me! I came here with a friend and we ordered three tacos each and wolfed it down in less than 10 minutes. I ordered one al pastor and two asada tacos and I have to say the seasoning and marinade on the al pastor is AMAZING. The asada is really good as well! I also think their salsas are amazing. We both are satisfied with our meal and both paid under $8 for our super yummy dinner. As of now, Miny's is take out only.

Taco Tuesday means finding new favorite places to eat. On a recent evening of running errands on a Tuesday, I knew I needed to add in a pit stop to fill me back up. A quick Yelp search revealed Miny's, which happened to be close to where I was running around town, and was also a place which I hadn't visited yet. I popped in at dinnertime, and was immediately seated. The hostess/server brought over some chips and salsa. My friend hates spicy food, and even the "mild" salsa had a little kick to it, so that just meant more chips and salsa for me. When it came time for entrees, I decided to order a la carte, and got one Al Pastor Taco and one Campechano, along with a side of beans and rice. The grand total for that came to less than $6, but great price aside, it was flavorful and filling to boot. Taco Tuesday comes but once a week, and next time it rolls around, make it a Miny's evening, for a new place you're sure to love as well!

Outside of the restaurant, post Covid. Some outside seating. Chairs inside for while you wait.

OMG! The BEST street corn ever!!!! Also, amazing Tacos. Simple to go place with some inside chairs to sit while you get your food. Rice and beans were fine. But the street corn and the tacos were out of this world. We're vegetarian so the mushroom tacos and the veggie tacos were great. Did I tell you the street corn was amazing!!!

Taco Combo - 3 different meats

Stopped by for quick dinner before heading home. The last time I was here, it was under different name, can't tell if the menu offerings are the same or not, but after reviewing the menu, went with the following items: - Huaraches with Al Pastor - 3 taco combo meal (al pastor, spicy chicken and chorizo). While their food was decent, there was no "wow" factor that jumped out at me. The taco's, to be honest, I couldn't tell the difference between their taco and say Taco King's tacos... it tasted about the same. I was not impressed with the beans and their rice was ok. I never had huaraches, its worth trying. The flavors were all there, reminded me of tostada, but instead of the tortilla, they used deep fried masa dough. You also get free chips and salsa after you sit down. Ok, I had two issues during my visit. - It was cold inside. Even if you sit away from the door and the windows, I still felt the cold breeze behind my back. - On the day I visited, it was super loud. There was one table of four people that were having fun, enjoying their conversation. However, their loudness and their laughter were too much, it overdrawn other conversations and to a point of being rude to other customers. Worth revisiting to try other offering, but I hope that loud group is not there on my next visit.

Miny's is almost there in my opinion. Great placement, great service, great atmosphere just needs a little more seasoning.

Thankfully my wife speaks Spanish because her English is definitely limited. There were only two woman working when I ate there. Definite mom and pop vibe. The other people looked Mexican as did the customers who came after me definitely a good sign for authentic food. The drink portion sizes were pretty generous for a small size. The food took some time coming out, my wife enjoyed all three of her tacos. My shrimp taco was good and the corn tortilla was good not overly dry. Two salsas come to the table both were very good. The Gordita was solid liked the lettuce and cheese along with the meat. The thicker corn tortilla goes a longer to fill you up than a taco. Overall a good place, did not blow me away , but solid.

When I first walked in, there were two guys standing at the counter for quite a while. I couldn't figure out what they were doing until I saw the employee counting out cash. I also wasn't sure if I should sit to order my food or order at the counter. Eventually the employee handed me a menu so I sat at a table. There were other tables with native people at them so I figured the food must be good. I ordered a combo meal from the menu written in Spanish. It had two tacos, a tamale, and rice and beans. A short time later I was told they didn't have tamales. I was bummed about that so I ordered three tacos with a side of rice and beans. I was surprised at how long the food took to come out. And the portion of rice and beans was tiny, especially for $4. Of the tacos, the beef was a little tough, but the chicken and pork were good. The rice and beans were both tasty. Just not enough. Overall for over $14, I didn't think the food or experience was worth it. Maybe the tamales are the star of the show.
