I have been coming here for a long time. They always do soooo great. I love getting the "Mio Pedicure" because they rub real fresh oranges on my legs and between my toes. It makes me feel like a fruit goddess haha. Recently I had the pleasure of meeting Annie who has by far been my favorite nail tech out of like 3 years of going here on and off. She is truly professional, knowledgeable, and very creative. I bring her my inspo pics (which are not always of nails) and then we create a design together that comes out beautiful every time. She takes time building the nail bed properly so that it lasts a long time without getting wear and tear damages. She also makes sure all my nails are perfectly shaped and all even. She is so sweet, always leaves me feeling taken care of. Love you Annie!!! As for pedi tech Hanna is amazing. She gives the best leg and foot massage, like omg. Just the best. She takes time to clean up my little tootsies, scrub all the callus off my feet to make them nice and soft, then finishes them off with a great polish job. 10/10 recommend requesting Annie on nails + Hanna on pedi. First things first! GO TO NATALIE! She's amazing!! I've been going to her every time and not only does she do my nails she also does my feet too! She's super sweet and gentle and the conversations are awesome! Second...management SUCKS!! They are so rude and unprofessional and only care about the money you give them not the customer experience they SHOULD give! I came to this salon for two years, and it is a shame that the customer service declined. I missed one appointment in two years (I had the flu and it didn't even cross my mind to check my calendar and cancel my appointment) and then was told no one feels comfortable serving me anymore because I didn't show up. I never do walk ins; I always made appointments. On several occasions they would try to get me to come in earlier or later (a few screenshots of the texts for proof) and then tell me their techs don't have time to wait around 15-20 mins in between appointments or services... but on a handful of occasions they had me sitting there waiting for the tech to finish up someone else for 20/25 mins. So that makes me think that they value their techs time, but not the customers time who make appointments ahead of time. I'm not sure if it's the man up front or one of the ladies who manage the phone they text from. But whomever it is clearly has my number and when I didn't show up for my appointment a courtesy call would have been appreciated. They have never been shy about texting me prior. Brooke told me that no one tells her when she has appointments, but I'm not sure how that is my fault or problem as the customer seeing as I did my part of making appointments ahead of time. It feels more like an internal communication. Also a month ago, during the middle of my service Brooke let me know that pricing was raised $5 ($40 to $45 is a 13% increase) for a dip manicure. Wasn't much I could do about it since it was mid-service. I looked around and there was no signage notifying anyone about price increases. I didn't say anything. I did notice the next visit they did put a notice at the front desk. But during the service I was told about the price increase, Brooke CUT my finger and then blamed it on using an old dull nail file... if they are raising the prices due to the cost of materials then they should be able to use a new nail file in order to avoid cutting the customers. It was definitely time to part ways after the experiences over the past two months. I do recognize that I missed my appointment, but it was the first time in two years and was not a reoccurring habit. If you are a person with a loose schedule, who wants to utilize any tech, and don't mind waiting for 20+ mins then this salon is for you. read more

I've been going to mio nails for years, I went recently after taking a break for a few months and got a full set with builder gel from Tracey. My cuticles were not pushed down or trimmed along with the gel itself was not taken all the way down to my cuticle therefore right when I left the salon it looked like I already needed a fill. This is my nails a wee and a half after getting them done. I also got my toes done at the same time in which I got gel and they chopped immediately... I'm no sure what happened, that's never happened to me. Last week one of them broke (5 days after getting them done it cracked randomly) and I had Annie fix it. She did a great job. Another 5 days later two more cracked in half. They weren't hard nails, I am very disappointed. Now I have to go back less than 2 weeks after getting a full set and get a fill and 2 fix's. I love Mio nails and have been coming here since they opened. Always hygienic and nice staff. It pains me to write this review but I feel the need too in hopes the owners can adjust how things are done. The girl who did my nails had dirty gloves with someone else's nail dust all over it. She had clearly been in the gloves a very long time since I could see the sweat in between the latex. Also, when she went to trim my nail I saw her holding two clippers in the cart. She did not open them from the sterile bag. I asked if they were clean and she said yes. I also brought up that the gloves were dirty. She didn't do anything about that. Hygiene is so important so hoping this is a friendly reminder for hand hygiene. read more

Having her for my gel manicure, last week, is not an experience I would want to repeat as I was berated for saying the color was not what I thought it would be from the sample. I was recommended by a friend to try out this place. I went here on a whim on a Sunday morning as it was a convenient location based on my plans that day. I normally always schedule a nail appt to save time, but I got there shortly after the shop opened. Upon walking in, I was surprised to see that the shop was almost full. The male receptionist told me to wait 10 minutes for the two of us. I got a gel manicure for $30, and it was an additional $5 to remove my old gel. The techs did not speak much English, which is fine, but I did not appreciate their snooty attitude. Jessie did my nails. She spoke a little English. I asked to have my nails cut short and she told me she would just file them... so I was like fine, but I told her that I preferred them short. She looked annoyed and then brought out a nail clipper and began to clip my nails quickly while not paying much attention, so she snipped my skin on my ring finger. It hurt and I pulled my hand back. She did not react or say sorry. At that point, I was annoyed. After that, she did pay more attention and did a good job painting my nails. I asked her to fix one of my nails, and she got up and waved her hands with an attitude, and said, "I will fix your nail later." I don't mind paying for more for nails, but I want them to be free of major errors like getting snipped or accidentally getting cut, not to mention getting a side of attitude and the technician not honoring your preference for short or long nails. Unfortunately, Mio Nails is not for me, and I will not be returning. read more

Unfinished nails, rude service, cheap gel, confusing pricing, gel falling off two days after I hadn't been to Mio Nails since "after Covid" so I decided to give them a try a few weeks ago. I picked a muted nude color for my gel mani and gel pedi. I couldn't see my feet because of the pillow on my lap, and when I asked to check in on my pedicure, I realized the color was a bright green. I said this wasn't the color I requested and the nail tech said sometimes the color changes with age on the sample. They were frustrated when I obviously asked to change the color since neon green wasn't something I wanted. From then, the pedicurist was quick, aggressive with touch and gave me a massage that didn't even last a minute for both feet combined. On my hands, the color on my nails sat in the center and was unfinished. I noticed on my second/third round of gel coating and the nail tech made an excuse about why it was like that. I said to him that it looked unfinished and the color already looked grown out from the nail bed but he said this is how it should be. I asked for pricing for a single gem on each nail to which he changed the price multiple times, down to half his original pricing. When I told the receptionist who seemed to be the manager or owner of the place- he said I should have said something earlier. I told him I was upset with his response- I didn't assume his team would make as many mistakes and why was it my job to ensure every step was correct. I was focused on mistake after mistake- I couldn't catch them all. He didn't even look at my nails or apologize for the bad service. A day later, the gel on my nails had already started to chip. A week later the gel on my thumb fell off. In the past, this place was hit or miss. I've had a similar issue with incorrect color and rude staff many times before but I thought things had changed because sometimes they did a decent job. I will not be visiting mio nails again. I've given this place so many chances. They always treat me horribly. They're curt, rude and unwilling to do what I asked. I wanted a whole new acrylic set bc they were getting too long and I wanted a new color and shape. The lady told me I had a good base so she didn't want to change them. Then she didn't even ask me if I wanted to shorten them or change the shape. They offer other customers water, they've never offered me water ever. They let customers know that the massage chair they're getting works or not and if that's okay, not with me. Sure the quality of the nails is great but it's not worth it. They look at you sideways or make comments under their breath if you ever bring up a question unfortunately and I've always let it slide, but I've had enough. They treated my quiet sweet daughter like crap after I asked for a price breakdown over the phone while she was there getting her nails done. Because I questioned their insane pricing, the nail lady threw a hissy fit and stopped working on my daughter's nails halfway through and left them for someone else to finish, without saying a word to us. My daughter had to ask the receptionist if someone else was going to finish them. She was so rude and so unprofessional. I've spent way too much money at this place for immature nail techs to get their panties in a bunch over simple and standard questions that we have a right to ask. Make sure you know how much every little thing costs. This place is way too expensive and it's never consistent. I don't trust their pricing. Simple designs are almost the same cost as a full set. It doesn't make sense. It seems like they just throw a number at you. Also, I never leave in under two hours for basic acrylics and pedicure. I'm almost always there for more than 2 1/2 hours, sometimes 3. They take way too long for basic nails because they overbook. I would come here as a last resort if you don't have any other choice, but definitely look elsewhere. read more

Consistent quality by nearly all technicians (although Annie and Brooke are my favorite so far!) Reasonable pricing. My favorite place to go (of many tried). However I really should rate 4.5 because it's 90% possible to make an appointment by phone and of course they get heavily booked late afternoons/evenings, and weekends. I am sad to report that Mio Nails tried to trick me into paying more than what I deserved... I was a first time customer & was very excited to go to a new salon. I chose to do the Royal Mani ($30) with 5 extra minutes of massage (an additional $5). My nail tech confirmed this with me as well. I did not add gel & had the manicure done on my natural nails. When it came time to pay the bill, I was charged $40. I kindly brought up that it should be $35. The nail techs talked amongst themselves and an employee to my left said that they HAD to charge $5 more because my nails were too long to cut! I was shocked! There is nothing on their menu that says they charge more for that. I politely refuted saying that my nails were indeed not long to begin with, they are natural, & there was no mention of that extra charge on the menu or from my nail tech. I saw the manager & explained the situation. He repeated the same exact thing to me. It was at that point I began to get frustrated. It was a simple mistake that could be fixed with a simple refund. All my initial excitement diminished as I realized they were ALL trying to trick me to increase their profit by $5 dollars. Upset, I demanded a refund of $5 dollars and fortunately was given one. On my out, I voiced my concerns to the salon and was only met with excuse after excuse and guilty looks. The manager even pointed to acrylic "set" portion of the menu and cited the "extra length" notation for acrylic tips as to why he had to charge me more. I wasn't even getting acrylics! I showed him a picture of my nails earlier that day to show him how short they actually were. He said "Well...it's just five dollars!" Finally admitting to trying to rip me off. Again, I did not need an apology for the overcharge, as mistakes happen every day and should be no problem to fix. However, I do not appreciate being manipulated and tricked. I left upset and hurt. So disappointing. I used to love this nail salon. Been coming here since it opened. I love a nail salon that's clean, sanitary and does a professional job. Unfortunately the last few times I've been here my experience is worse and worse. For my pedicure today the tech reused gloves and didn't use sanitized tools. I was confused at first because as I approached the chair I saw her putting in gloves that seemed to already be inside out, she flipped them back out and out them on. Thought I might be being paranoid but then she just started pulling tools out of the bins. Thought maybe the bins had all the clean tools and then she might separate them for sanitation. NOPE, after she used the tools on me she plopped them right back in the rolling bin. I questioned her and she sprayed my feet with rubbing alcohol and gave me the run around saying I should bring in my own tools!!! Now I know for a fact that I got athletes foot from here last time and thought I had got it from the gym. I also have a scrape under my foot from her scrubbing harshly under my feet. I love Mio! I've been coming for years after a friend recommended Mio now i have only gone here. They always deliver. But December 23rd, my experience with Annie inspired me to write this review. I wanted to treat myself and spur of the moment decided to go with no idea what i wanted. Annie took control and gave me a gorgeous manicure! I got length added, dip power and gel design on top. She also recommended French tip to match for my pedicure. It was about $100 for both, absolutely worth it. I added some photos from nails over the years, I'm always happy when I leave mio. I try to do something fun and different every time. My nail technician went as far as wiping some of the hearts off and starting over because she wasn't happy with them.
