Lesson learned - you get what you pay for. I normally go to other nail salons but am on a budget so I needed to look for a less expensive option. This place had great reviews and one $, and was able to take me this afternoon when I called an hour ahead. There was only one other person in the salon when I got there, which should have been telling. They tried to seat me on a chair closest to that person, but it was faded and dusty with the remnants of someone else's nails. I was escorted to a cleaner chair and was worked on by two technicians, both of whom were very nice. With that said, their work left much to be desired. The color on my toes did not match the color on my nails (something that they were seemingly coordinating), and the pedicure itself was just okay - they didn't have a menu of options, so I think the light leg massage I received was standard. I noticed that my toenails were cut a bit crooked and that the polish wasn't tidied up around my cuticles. My dip manicure was no better - upon leaving I realized the crooked nails and awkward shaping, resembling what I can only describe as a flipper with a narrow base and wide top. I had also asked for a simple design (a heart, for Valentine's Day) on each ring finger. Despite what looked like concentration and careful work turned out to be smudgy and childlike, resembling the art of an untalented elementary school student. This was a great contrast to the photos presented on yelp and the reviews that mentioned their flair for designs. Upon paying, I found that my entire service was $78 ($20 - $45 cheaper than what I usually pay) before tip. Still, I wish I would have bit the bullet and taken my nails somewhere more polished (pun intended!). Lesson learned! read more

Vanna did my hands again. Wish I had her previous work to show off, but she did great this time too. Got diff tones of pink on my hand and she was accommodating. $35 and a $10 tip. Also paid $35 and a $10 tip for my friend's general pedi and mani that he was happy with. Fair pricing for good work. The manicure cleanup with a soak is a separate cost from the gel x, dip powder, acrylic, etc. I saw a lady below complain about it not including a cuticle soak etc. You have to pay for it separately, but it's honestly affordable. I felt like my cuticles were cleaned up well enough without that extra step (as shown in the picture). Appreciate how kind vanna and her husband (Tom) are every time I come here. The other ladies are also always sweet and accommodating. Again, please tip generously and be mindful . These ppl are breathing in endotoxins, risking dip flu, etc. read more

I just moved to the area and after reading so many scary yelp reviews on various places I was nervous to go anywhere. But I got sick of looking at my undone nails & decided to try the place I see on my way out the gym. I used to religiously get acrylics and have been recently trying to grow out healthier nails. I told my nail lady (who happened to be Vanna herself) and she suggested dip powder, I was hesitant because in the past dip powder has not held up very well and always had a weird shape in my opinion but I trusted her and am glad I did. 0 stars I called to make an appointment for 2 manicures for 2 people, they said can take us in, in 15min for both of us. We arrived and we had to wait ~20 minutes plus the 15min. Then they could only take one of us, and not both of us at the same time. Annoying when you're a tight schedule. Place was a little dirty due to them being under construction. My friend had an old french gel, the nail tech didn't take off her french tip correctly, as shown in pictures. Also, wasn't sure if she knew how to do a dip powder, steps were all over the place. Old french tip was showing, the powder wasn't on the whole nail, etc. We tried telling her to correct it but she didn't see it. She was very nice though. Worst nail place I've ever been to. First of all, we called to make sure they were open and available on Easter Sunday and they said yes. My friend and I waited like 20 minutes when we got there and there were only 2 ladies working on 2 other customers. Once one of the ladies became available, they started doing mine, my friend waited and was supposed to go after me. I came in with an old gel French manicure and wanted to get dip powder. They didn't remove or push back the cuticle at all (literally no manicure whatsoever), the lady didn't even fully take off the French manicure before she started doing the dip powder so you could see it under the powder once that was done... powder wasn't evenly distributed all over the nail, it had gaps and looked like it had broken off! I kept asking her to fix it she didn't see anything wrong with it even with her glasses on.... high key blind. I didn't let them finish, I left because it was so bad!! So, I came in today to get my nails done, there was essentially no wait and they sat me down very quickly. Vanna did my acrylic nails with gel.. I showed her what I wanted and the nails do look nice. But, she would dig into my nails and the entire time everything was just painful and stinging. She made so many cuts on my fingers and the entire experience was unpleasant. I got a pedicure as well, that was OKAY. The lady's idea of a hot spa and towel was literally boiling hot. Some of my nails from the pedicure are uneven as well. For Nail salons, I will try get service done 3x before writing a review becuz in my opinion, sometimes you just get the wrong nail tech or just went on the wrong day. I'm now ready to review this place for all 3x visits. 1st visit (2 months ago) - Came in with my niece and she was not impressed with the guy that sat at the front desk (Owner). He was so rude when asking us what we needed done. I told him 3x just a "Regular Pedi" for both of us. He puts us in a Spa chair which I reminded him that I only wanted a "Regular Pedi". He still put us in there. I figured it must be what they do. We were serviced by Natalie who was very nice. When we were done, I went to pay and the guy charged me for a "Spa Pedi" which I did not want and repeatedly told him 3x before we sat down. He had to tell his wife to refund me and she was not happy. She turned to me and made a comment in Vietnamese to her husband thinking I didn't understand her. I understood Vietnamese perfectly. The poor nail tech paid me the refund from her tips. In my opinion, not wanting to refund me for incorrectly charging me was her husband's fault...IMO, Super "low class" business for the owner. Sticking to my rule, I will try this place 2 more times. 2nd visit (1 month ago) - I requested Natalie and the owner (the wife) again made a rude comment to her husband "Oh the Reg Pedi girl is back!". They put me and my niece back in the "Spa Chair" and I told him and the nail tech that I only wanted the"Regular Pedi" and didn't want the same thing last time repeating this time. She assured me that it was fine. The entire time we were being serviced, the wife kept staring at us. We could not believe she was actually doing that. We finished and went to pay and AGAIN...the owner (Husband) tried to charge us for the "Spa Pedi". I was pissed but the sweet nail tech apologized for her. She repeatedly apologized...I told her it wasn't her fault so don't apologize! The wife wouldn't even pay me my refund. They charged my credit card for the "Spa Pedi". I refused to leave without my refund...the nail tech gave me the refund again! Becuz I know the language I know how these rude owners work. Trust me, I wanted to walk out as soon as I heard the owners talking crap but my niece said let's see how they are today so we sat through it! 3rd visit (on Friday, 12/22) - I walked in alone this time becuz I wanted to see how the owners would treat me. The owner made sure she asked this time what I wanted done. As the last 2x, I told her the "Regular Pedi". Her rude husband then told a nail tech to bring out the traditional water pail and do it at the nail station. I didn't care where I was sitting but they made sure I knew I was getting a "REGULAR" pedi. The entire time, she kept staring me down and her husband did the same. The funny thing is that I could hear the comments they were making about other customers. Talking crap about the ppl they were servicing...the American customers didn't even know they were them talking crap about them. My sister-in-law owns a few nail salons in Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach and she would NEVER let her nail techs talk CRAP in front of ANY customers. This place was ghetto and rude and dirty. Non-Vietnamese speaking customers, don't think you are being treated well here. They totally were kissing butts to the customers that had several services done vs customers that only did minor services. I refer a lot of customers to places I support but I will never recommend anyone to this place. I was able to confirm that they are as awful as I experienced on the 1st visit. My niece said it was the WORST nail salon she's ever been to. I really didn't want to come back but I had to confirm what I already felt in my gut. I've been doing my nails for many years with other salons and not ever have my nails looked so yellow and brittle. I showed my sister-in-law my nails after my 2nd visit and she said it only happens when the nail techs skimp on putting a good quality clear coat 1st before painting the color on, and the yellow is also due to using cheap nail polishes. I can feel good posting my review now. I gave this crappy nail salon 3 chances to prove my suspicions wrong. I would gladly pay more money for better service and a place that doesn't talk crap about their customers. Most nail salon nail techs do talk crap about their customers but the more "Americanized" owners don't allow their techs to do this. There are plenty of better nail salons with better owners. I will make sure all of my friends and families never come here. I am including photos of the owners so you know exactly who I'm talking about. Even my gfs said the owner (the wife) just looked Bitchy...and she WAS! Damn rude and Bitchy.
