I got a French gel manicure with Diane and she's been our go-to for me and my mom for almost 20 years! Quick easy & clean service, she's always been very precise with shaping. They can give you coffee, teas, or sodas - whatever you'd like! The new owner is very sweet and her son even helps out with taking calls in the front. They have a new rewards system if you put in your phone number but I think it doesn't count if you use cash, since you already get a discount paying cash vs. card. Cindy from luxury nails removed the acrylic set I had on when I came to them (pain free) and did an ombré with gel on my natural nails for a total of 60 dollars. Great service, would definitely return. She took the nail tools out of a sealed bag which tells me they actually have been sanitized. She also give a complimentary drink. Worst experience ever. The lady's name is Hannah. I came here again to take off my old set and do a new set, she was so aggressive and instead of soaking my nails to remove she decided to rip them off which caused her to rip my thumb nail which resulted in it bleeding. She proceeded to pour acetone all over it for no reason. I told her to stop and then I asked her If it was even safe to continue with a new set and she said yes. Then got upset I was taking too long to pick a color so I said nevermind and I left. I went across the street for a pedicure and they told me I need to wait a week to do a new set and they were just money hungry and rushing ... for no reason too, the salon was empty. read more

I had an awful, disrespectful experience here earlier this week, and here is how it went (sorry i have to cut it some of the beginning down for the text limit) 1. I had stacy (girl with black/purple glasses) & showed her what i wanted, & she said she could do it. But she didn't let me choose the base coat color, & brought out pink for my base. i didn't realize this at first but after she did one nail i told her that it wasn't what i wanted & i asked her for a translucent color. Than she brought out white & covered the pink up. I told her i wanted something translucent but she didn't want to let me decide. Then she got up and quite literally tossed the basket on my lap of the colors. Then when i picked a color & she put it on, she asked if it looked close enough to the nail with the pink+white on it... she was literally gonna leave that on.. so cheep. I was confused but let it go. 2. Then, While she was doing the dip she spilt almost the entire container, i felt so bad for her i didn't want to embarrass her so i looked away. At this point she seemed frustrated but i couldn't do anything to help her. 3. (and this is when it gets bad) As she is doing the gel design on my dip, my hands touch one another as she grabs one and puts the other back. I tell her i'm sorry but they touched. and she TELLS ME I AM ACTING LIKE A CHILD & THAT I AM IMMATURE LIKE A LITTLE GIRL. i was so taken back. Why does that constitute this? Also, why would u say this to anyone. I never said a word to her after this. 4. Then she dropped the bottle of paint ON HERSELF... lol. She was obviously on one. I ended up tipping her well even though i wanted to give her nothing. I asked a friend whose been to this salon & told her about my experience, and she said she had a bad experience too- which brought me to write this review. Horrible customer service! read more

First time here and I'll definitely be back! Jane did my gel x removal and gel manicure. She was amazing! She took her time and was very gentle throughout. It was my first time getting gel x removal and it was such a tedious process but she was thorough and detailed. I've never had a manicurist so intent on making sure I liked the color I picked and how it looked on me. The first color I selected was a little too light on my nail and she asked if I wanted her to go over it with a darker yet similar shade. After she picked and applied the new shade, she again made sure I actually liked how it looked on my nails. I would highly recommend going to Jane! (They also had an awesome 60s playlist playing) read more

Where do I begin?? I hadn't been here in years and I don't remember it being bad. The service is great. Super nice great if by owner. The ladies that did my nails were very helpful and sweet BUT the actual service and outcome were so bad! The lady that did my pedi went in for the kill. She was digging so hard and deep to clean under my toenails. I was like well I guess she being thorough‍ Then I missed when she started trimming my toenails and when I looked I was like OMG looked like I trimmed them at home. She was great with the callus removal cause she just went for it hard. Then I had to ask her to add another layer of polish cause she was ready to send me off with translucent, home job looking, polish job. My manicurist comped in on the cuticle also. I hadn't had a mini in awhile so I kind of thought maybe I needed it but then my skin started throbbing in a few areas. No bueno. I sucked it up but when she started filling the dry powder with the spinning thing she kept getting painfully close to my cuticle, leaving it raw. I asked her to be careful and she was, which saved my other hand. I went to pay already disappointed and was hit with a $75.00 bill. My regular spot is only $55.00 for the same service. I don't recommend. read more

This place is straight up unsafe. They ruined my nails, the next day after getting ny nails done my pinky nail fell off. I had to go to the ER while on vacation because I couldn't stop the bleeding. I just went back in to show them and explain what happened for a refund and they refused, even after seeing my nail is covered in blood and puss. The ER said it was absolutely due to whatever nail salon I had been too, my nail was so thin it couldn't hold up anymore. I had only been coming here for months prior, this is absolutely their error and they refused to remedy it. So horrible of them. Please avoid this place for your own safety!! read more

Still loving this place. It's easy to make an appointment and have lots of parking in the front. At first I was a bit sad that they didn't have the pastel blue that I wanted, but my nails came out super cute still! I love how they always can get the right coffin shape that I like compared to other places. The lady who did my nails took a lot of time and effort perfecting my nails which I really appreciate. Looks like new owners or management took over the shop. Some new faces, some long term employees working here. My wife got me a pedicure treatment while she went shopping in the plaza. Never had one before, maybe I should start treating myself more often. The massage chair was good, the calf massage was better. Nothing compares to hands squeezing the stress out of these old muscles. Never thought I would be the type of guy who enjoys this service. Definitely going to spoil myself in the future. read more

Best birthday gift to myself! I splurged for the best manicure and pedicure for my birthday and it was a great choice! Linda and Nancy took great care of me. Linda was super sweet and even went and grabbed my iced coffee from the car for me while I was in the chair! The massages on my hands, arms, legs and feet were absolutely divine. I went in here to get my nails removed and it was a $15 charge which was a bit steep compared to other places, but I was desperate and to get them off. I got Jane who ripped off my nails and caused one of them to bleed profusely. She also cut my cuticles and caused them to bleed and continued to drill over that area even when I expressed pain. She then blamed my last nail tech for their work instead of accepting responsibility for her actions. She complained that I was too whiny from the removal and that she could have had two customers in the time that she was doing a full set for me. Well to be fair, I was bleeding and had chemicals/drill go over my exposed skin/wound that she caused. Who says that to a customer? I decided to do a set to cover up her mistake and even the set was terrible. I spoke up and tried to communicate what I wanted but was met with indifference and a mean attitude with her calling me very difficult to work with when I barely said much. Also, I was told that I would be out by a certain time for a different appointment but ended up taking much longer than her estimate, causing me to be late. Overall, I wouldn't recommend her. This place overcharges for their services with nothing to show for it. I would rather go to Pro Nails in FV or La Belle in Costa Mesa. Save yourself and your money. read more

I've 6 if I could. Possibly my favorite nail salon ever! I've been getting arctic nails with designs for years. I found this salon in a pinch as I was working near by. Dan has been my nail specialist for about a year and now I cannot go anywhere else regardless of this place being 30min from my house. He knows (I'm sure the other techs do too) what great nails should look like and always on point with the designs. Ever see designs that look off? Not here. I also have a wacky, unconventional work schedule and with clear communication, Dan always makes it work. They are so darn effective and friendly, I cannot recommend this place enough. read more

Soooo... I took a long break from getting acrylics done last year because the 3 different places I went to prior to here did not last more than 2 weeks. Especially being that I work in a gym and I'm not the most careful gal. However, I finally decided to try somewhere again and I'M SO GLAD I DID. Dan has been taking care of me for my full sets and I always have screenshots of what I want, more or less. He takes the time to make sure he does them with the best quality. It definitely goes to show because since I've been coming here I've had absolutely no problem with keeping my nails on even with the training I do in the gym. As for the pedis, you really can't go wrong with any of the lovely ladies in there. I love getting the deluxe pedi with that 15 minute massage and it's just so nice to be pampered. I've even brought my boyfriend and friends and they never fail to satisfy. I highly recommend making an appointment,m especially in the weekends. During the week, you're definitely more likely to get away with a walk-in because they're always fully staffed which is awesome. If you're looking for a nail salon that you can count on, this is the place! read more

I came here to get a quick manicure and full powder set for my wedding in two days. Instead they charged me for an acrylic set which cost a whole lot more. Overly priced place. I felt like the workers were rushing. Charged me extra even when I didn't want any decorations on it (flowers, pearls, etc.) Paint chipped on the same day. My cuticles on some of my fingers became really hard due to some chemicals they used. I wouldn't come back. read more

Stopped in for a quick gel polish change and was lucky to have met Amanda! She was fantastic! I asked for sparkle and she gave me sparkle! A very sweet girl! I will definitely be back. I never do walk ins; I always made appointments. On several occasions they would try to get me to come in earlier or later (a few screenshots of the texts for proof) and then tell me their techs don't have time to wait around 15-20 mins in between appointments or services... but on a handful of occasions they had me sitting there waiting for the tech to finish up someone else for 20/25 mins. So that makes me think that they value their techs time, but not the customers time who make appointments ahead of time. I'm not sure if it's the man up front or one of the ladies who manage the phone they text from. But whomever it is clearly has my number and when I didn't show up for my appointment a courtesy call would have been appreciated. They have never been shy about texting me prior. Brooke told me that no one tells her when she has appointments, but I'm not sure how that is my fault or problem as the customer seeing as I did my part of making appointments ahead of time. It feels more like an internal communication. Also a month ago, during the middle of my service Brooke let me know that pricing was raised $5 ($40 to $45 is a 13% increase) for a dip manicure. Wasn't much I could do about it since it was mid-service. I looked around and there was no signage notifying anyone about price increases. I didn't say anything. I did notice the next visit they did put a notice at the front desk. But during the service I was told about the price increase, Brooke CUT my finger and then blamed it on using an old dull nail file... if they are raising the prices due to the cost of materials then they should be able to use a new nail file in order to avoid cutting the customers. It was definitely time to part ways after the experiences over the past two months. I do recognize that I missed my appointment, but it was the first time in two years and was not a reoccurring habit. If you are a person with a loose schedule, who wants to utilize any tech, and don't mind waiting for 20+ mins then this salon is for you.

I just feel pressured to get more or they'll talk you into the next thing. I've been coming here off and on for years. (At least 5 or so). I live a block away, so loved the convenience and thought that they were overall pretty good. As a long time customer, I brought my 5 year old in a few times within the last year or so. The first time was great! They treated her so well and helped pick her colors and did a great job with her nails. But this last time I brought her in, my kid wanted to same as last time: which was 3 colors. I saw dirty looks and an overall annoyed worker immediately followed by talking back and forth to their coworkers, very obvious they were annoyed with us. (Although I couldn't understand the language or the problem). This was a weekday and it was super slow, and there were maybe 3 other people in the salon getting services, mind you. Not a stressful situation. They grabbed the colors, painted her nails quickly and walked away... they just were not friendly at all. At the end, when I went to pay, I asked for a breakdown bc it was more than I calculated in my head and they charged me an additional $10 for a third color. They said 2 colors were no up charge but the 3rd is $10. That was never communicated with me. They didn't do that the previous times I was there. And to have a 3rd color, it meant that 4 nails were painted with that (basically the middle finger/toe on each limb). Cmon guys. Also- as a 5 year old, their nails typically stay on for only 4-5 days at best- to spend $50 on that- I won't do that again. I decided in that moment that I would not be able to return here. To make an additional $10 off of me that day, but to lose years of my business- and with me bringing in friends and my daughters.... I hope that was worth it. To secretly upsell because an employee is annoyed is just wrong. Just tell me ahead of time there would be a cost- I would have clearly only done 2 colors... To do that to a long time customer was inappropriate... and to treat my child that was very well behaved in such a manner- didn't talk to her, and was overall annoyed the whole time- was just rude. Do better, guys. For the rest of the staff- you have all been friendly over the last several years. So thank you. The stars I left are for you guys.

My boyfriend and I were spending our wonderful Sunday together and decided to treat ourselves to a pampering day, we definitely deserved one. We decided to yelp a good place in the area and we stumbled upon Luxury nails and honestly, I'm thrilled to say that we found Luxury nails. First off the bat, like everyone else has stated, the place is gorgeous! You really do feel very luxurious coming here. Amanda did my nails. And from this point foward, I won't be letting anyone else touch my nails but her. She's very friendly and very professional. I personally don't appreciate it when I get my nails done and the person working on my nails starts talking on their phone, or talks another language to their co-workers in front of me. She was very attentive to me and only me the entire time she was working on my nails. She held conversation with me and it felt very comfortable because who honestly wants to sit in awkward silence when someone's doing their nails. I also appreciated how she wasn't pushy in trying to up sell me more services. Usually, the other nail salons I've been too, the women become very aggresive and try to up sell that it becomes awkward and I feel obligated to purchase whatever it is they were telling me that I needed. She kindly asked me once if there was anything else I needed from her today and she left it at that. She took her time with my nails, I didn't feel rushed at all and they came out beautiful! I'll definitely be back for my bi-weekly fills or mani/pedis. And of course I'd recommend my family and friends here! read more

Unfortunately as of today September 6th 2019 I will no longer be going to this salon. The reason being is that twice now I have made an appointment well in advance and upon arriving I am asked to wait 5 minutes sat down and put my feet to soak. Today was the last straw, I'm happy they are busy and that keeps them in business but when someone makes an appointment you must keep it. Don't have them sitting waiting for 20 minutes in cold water and then have them wait another 10 minutes to still not have been serviced. I've been coming here almost two years now and I'm sad to say I have to go. As for me I'm a single mother of three children and it is not easy for me to treat myself, as I need to make arrangements for someone to stay with my children so that I can take one hour of my hectic life to relax. I should not have to sit in that chair worrying that I'm going to be late to get back to my children because I was told I had an appointment and then I have to wait 20 minutes into the only hour I have and then to be rushed out the door before closing. The people here do a wonderful job I highly recommend Vivian and Vann! These ladies are an awesome team and are very thorough and kind. read more

I came in for a deluxe pedicure and the person who did my pedicure was Connie. She is amazing!!! She was super helpful and really nice. She helped me mix the color to make it similar to the color that I showed her from my phone which they didn't have. And that was exactly what I wanted. Also, Connie is really good with ingrown toe nails. She took her time to take out my ingrown toe nails little by little patiently and carefully. No pain and no bleed at all. Besides, she does not try and oversell you like others (which I appreciated the most). I asked her for a deluxe pedicure, she just took her time and paid attention on her work. No more added questions that I could relax completely. Even though it's been 3 weeks already, the polish is still on and no chips. I can tell that she did very good job!! I will definitely be coming back for a new pedicure soon. I highly recommend Connie to everyone. You will get what you pay for. read more

I visited Luxury Nails & Spa Fountain Valley a few months ago and had a wonderful experience. Vicky was the nail technician who worked on my nails, and she was very professional and meticulous. My nails are usually weak and tend to break easily, and when I got gel manicures at other salons, the gel would often chip quickly. However, Vicky did a builder gel set for me using Japanese gel polish, and the results were amazing - my nails didn't break, and the gel lasted for up to five weeks! The salon is very clean, professional, and trustworthy. I'm extremely satisfied and will definitely return. Highly recommend this place! read more

Only reason why i couldn't give 4 stars is because of the service. Very difficult to get the appointment on time and with the person you set it up with. Each of the lady here is very experienced and so far i have had two different manicurists that worked on my nails and the result is very similar among them. I prefer to have different manicurists work on my nails each time because I like varieties. Personally, I still prefer Tina who has an unassuming personality with immense patience. I like that she takes her time to perfect each nail and my gel lasts a bit longer under her expertise hands.

Unfortunately, my experience today was one of the worst I've had. I went in for a pedicure and initially asked the technician to apply nail stickers to my toes. She advised against it since I wasn't getting gel polish, which I understood and agreed with. Instead, I asked if she could paint my toenails a darker pink and simply add a small heart design. I believe there was a miscommunication because the technician told me to wait, but she never returned. My toenails were left with only clear polish, and I waited approximately 15-20 minutes before realizing no one was coming back. At that point, I had to leave. Before leaving, I calmly explained to the owner that I believed there had been a misunderstanding. I told her I had explained what I wanted to the technician, but there may have been a language barrier. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, I was asked why I didn't say something sooner, even though I had already explained the situation. I felt the responsibility was shifted onto me rather than the salon taking accountability for the miscommunication. The owner then asked me to come back later that day so they could finish my pedicure. I rearranged my schedule, picked up my son, and returned to the salon. Having to come back was already an inconvenience, but I wanted to give them the opportunity to make it right. This time, I again requested a darker pink polish with a simple heart and a few polka dots. After the service was completed, I was surprised to be charged an additional fee for the design. Considering I had to return because my original service was left unfinished due to the salon's mistake, I don't believe it was appropriate to charge me extra. What disappointed me most wasn't the design fee itself--it was how the situation was handled. There was no ownership of the mistake, I was made to feel responsible for the miscommunication, I had to return to have the service completed, and then I was charged extra for the correction. I've been a loyal customer for years, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Good customer service isn't about never making mistakes it's about taking responsibility and making things right when they happen. Unfortunately, I don't feel that happened here, and because of this experience, I can no longer recommend this salon if this is how customer concerns are handled.
