Don't bother. Made a reservation two days ago for a special family occasion and showed up 15 minutes before my time with my party and was informed they ran out of food and had closed the kitchen and they could not serve us. I asked to speak to the owner or manager and explained I had a reservation and that this was no way to provide customer service. The time was before 1 PM not late at night. They said they ran out of food and asked me what were they supposed to do? The owner just turned and walked away from me while I was talking. I explained they would never need to worry about us darkening their door again and that i would give them an appropriate review. Other people that showed up after us were also turned away. I will add none of the staff inside the building were following Covid protocol. I thought it was strange when they said they were not serving dinner on a weekend so I changed my reservation to a lunch. And a sign on their business ssid serving dinner. I am not sure what is going on with this business but clearly things are not running as they should nor is their customer service even at a one star level. Find a good place to eat where people appreciate your business. We have found another place to go and will celebrate as a family in spite of this bad experience. read more

Cute little French feeling Place with killer looking desserts. We had lunch, no cake, and enjoyed it. They have outdoor tables that are handmade wooden canopies. Fun! I have been to this bakery multiple times and their desserts are delicious! But unfortunately their service is so bad I don't ever plan on going back, I placed an order of 150 personal sized cakes and a two tiered cake for my wedding in October, luckily my family went back to check on the order this last week because they didn't have any trace of our order and said they wouldn't continue with our order since they didn't have it. We also got a cake order for my cousins baby shower a couple weeks ago and the same thing happen! Because it was short notice we had them make a different cake but the fondit was super thick and the decorative flowers all fell off. We will not be using this place ever again. Living Social Deals sends emails for "Half-off Goupons" every day of so. I finally received a coupon I could use. So I bought a fifteen dollar coupon worth thirty dollars for food or pastries at the Mirabelle Cafe. So I jumped on Yelp to read the reviews before heading across town to buy anything. I was surprised to read all the negative comments about the service, and decided to only buy some pastries to take home. Yesterday, Saturday, around one in the afternoon I went over to use the coupon. After parking and walking up to the entrance, I was quite impressed with all the large potted plants out in front of the cafe, There were a few tables outside under an over hang, there were a few souls braving the rain and inside every table was in use with people enjoying their meals. So the place was jumping, so to speak. I had eaten a early lunch and with thirty dollars to spend, I decided to buy a cake and some miscellaneous pastries. So I went for the small Taramisu which was twenty dollars. All the various cakes were beautiful to look at. I'm never disappointed with this dessert but II was quite disappointed with this so called Taramisu. The only thing that made it close to a Taramisu was the ladyfingers marching around the outside of the cake all tied together with a satin ribbon to keep them on place. Inside, it was just an average white cake with a layer of whipped cream; no espresso to flavor the cake and missing entirely, the most important ingredient of all, not even a trace of mascrpone cheese. There was a sprinkling of powdered chocolate on top a a couple of fresh, glazed strawberries. I have ten more dollars to spend, so bought three cookies and two bear paws, for breakfast and an apple turnover. These items were not as disappointing as the cake, but nothing special for the price. I've had much better and cheaper at other bakeries around town. As for service, I must say they would get more stars. Four or five nice looking blond girls were all down to business waiting tables and the counter. I didn't see any of the attitude problems reported in so many other reviews and I even managed to get a smile from a nice young woman who boxed up my order. The long and short of it is, pricey nice looking so called European style bakery product, but I say save your money and get more taste, even at you local Safeway. read more

The only bad thing I have ever experienced at Mirabelle's is slow service. Other than that, this dainty little cafe is one of my favorites. Their crepes are delicious, even if they are a little on the pricey side. My favorite? The turkey, mozzarella, and egg crepe. The salami crepe comes in as a very close second. Their pastries are delicious, too. Plus, they not only taste good, they look gorgeous. I have never had any bad experiences with the staff. They always seem very friendly and helpful. read more

I had a really bad experience at Mirabelle 4/2013 over their beautiful desserts. I specifically asked if they were made with real whip cream, and was told "yes". I bought about 8-10 for a birthday party, and they were awful! No one finished theirs, and I threw them out; they were NOT 100% whip cream. It appears they must use that fluff stuff or something. So when a girlfriend said she wanted to go there for breakfast/lunch, at first I said no, but decided to give their food a shot. We were greeted within a minute or two, he said he was going to set up a table, and never returned. They were very busy. About 10 minutes later, we were seated. Service was slow, and the coffee was cold before the cream for coffee got there. For starters, my friend loves breakfast, breakfast had ended at 11:00 am. However they did have 2-3 items with eggs, bacon, ham etc. I had the ham sandwich that had morney sauce and a fried egg on top, I opted for the side salad. The sandwich was surprisingly good, and was made similar to the monte crista. The salad had a good vinaigrette. My friend had a crepe and salad. I would go back for the food, but not anytime soon. My sister and I heard of the place through mutual friends so we decided to try it out. When we waled in, a lady behind the counter gladly greeted us and offered us dinner or desert. We decided to do desert and sat down at a table inside. There were only three other small groups of people there so we assumed that our orders would be quick. I WAS WRONG. The waiter finally got to our table after 15 minutes of just sitting there, and the girl who greeted us went to the back for a long time. Our waiter took our orders of a small latte and hot chocolate. He took about 30 minutes for our simple drinks. While there, I noticed a woman who had been outside since we came and had finished her tea, kept walking in but there was no one for her to talk to. After about the third time she walked in, she decided to leave. After leaving her burger and salad came to her table about 10 minutes later. The people behind us, an elderly couple began getting impatient as well and asked the waiter what happened to the other lady behind the counter, he said she was "on break." After the waiter brought our drinks, I asked him if he could me a macaroon and a creme brule, and my sister wanted two macaroons. IT LITERALLY TOOK HIM 20 MINUTES TO GET ALREADY MADE PASTRIES. He gave my sister my order and me her order. Which was stupid because there were only two other tables besides us. Not THAT hard to remember. I've been many to restaurants with A LOT of people and the waiters still remember small things like that. The pastries were delicious. He brought us our check soon after and constantly refilled our waters which was good. Overall, this place has terrible service and the waiters don't seem to care. I have been ordering birthday cakes and going here since they opened, everything has always been wonderful. Today I finally ordered my wedding cake from them and I was even more amazed how easy they made it and let me customize everything! To those giving a negative review, remember, this is a locally owned small business, it's very hard to hire on a lot of staff. We ordered a Red Velvet Cake for a birthday party. OMG it was horrific. It was salty, seemed like some ingredient was left out..... Horrible. I called and talked to Danielle who was very young and asked to speak to a manager as this cake cost 31.00....She said the owned was in and out and I asked for her to have him call me she said no..... I left my number.... All I can say Is I would rather pay for a Costco cake than this stuff they call quality....Also, the box was too small and smushed the side. Very disappointed!!! Last Thursday I went in there and brought home some pastries which all of us loved. The service was fast and the girls behind the counter were really nice. Great experience for Mother's Day! I love their outdoor seating, they have really cool rocking table boats. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with potatoes and it was perfect! Their pastry selection was also very deluxe. Left with a slice of tiramisu and enjoyed it at home. It was delicious! I think this is probably one of my top cafes to eat good food and relax. The menu has so many good choices that I had such a hard time trying to choose! I guess I need to just come back for more ;) I ended up getting their lemon pancakes which were amazing with every bite ! I definitely will be back! The four stars is because I took my fiancé there and he ordered an omelet that contained potatoes but our waitress told us that they didn't have any more potatoes so he had to get a double order of bacon. The place is charming. The cake displays are amazing. The food was good, coffee fantastic, and the staff was friendly - BUT it took FOREVER for us to get our food. It was early (around 11:00) and hardly anyone was in the place. If they could get food out in under an hour I'd give this place a better review. Seriously, it took 45 minutes to get food and I waited about 10 minutes after everyone else had their food to get mine. I don't know if they were short staffed or just disorganized in the kitchen. On a good note, the coffee came out fast. I'll try it again. Almost everyone in my party was happy after we got our food, and nobody rushed us to leave - they let us sit and talk over coffee (and we got refills.) I hope this place stays in business because it is unique and fun. But in order to do that the owner has to get his act together and make some serious changes. Nobody likes to wait for food. I just went to a New Years party with a beautiful cake from here. Not a fan of fondant so I was not expecting much. Beautiful cake! Omg the cake was blueberry filled with with cake and another layer of chocolate cake with mint filling. They were both the best cakes I've tried in the area. Hands down better than Ettores or Freeport Bakery. I had tried cake slices at the bakery and thought they were ok. Obviously the custom cakes are a cut above. Moist, fresh flavors and unique. There are many things I like about this place but there were a few hiccups that kept me from giving them a higher rating. I really like the atmosphere and the display of delicious desserts. We went here during the week and after the lunch rush. I ordered the quiche of the day which was perfect. My husband on the other hand ordered the vegetable risotto which they were out of so he ordered the pear citrus salad with fennel. The salad didn't come with pear or fennel. This was disappointing. The chef ran out of ingredients and didn't even tell his staff. That said they are lucky they have very sweet servers and delicious deserts. read more

I feel it's important to update this review since Mirabelle's is now has a new owner. So this is a welcomed update for me. We've noticed new wait staff the last couple of times we were here, a big improvement on how we were treated as customers, and how we were served, all major improvements. On this visit we met the new owner, a friendly and caring person who made sure we were happy with the food and service. The coffee was an Imported Italian Roast, and one of the tastiest I've ever had! I had an omelette with salad and my wife had a Benedict with salad, since it was lunch time, breakfast potatoes were gone, a little sad, but the salad was good. I thought my omelette was over cooked with a crust on the eggs, not my favorite way to make an omelette. Maybe they should bake it to keep it fluffier? On the whole, the food here is usually very good, and now the service matches. I'm happy to give them a better rating again. read more
