I lovelove love Miras. I have been coming here since the day they opened and k can't believe I haven't posted a review until now. You can never go wrong and they are consistent with their food since day one. My go to is the BEEF KOOBIDEH. The salad that comes with your meal is crispy and the dressing tart which I love. If you prefer, soup, theirs is fantastic, too. The rice is oh so fluffy. Be sure to add lots of butter. Don't forget the sumac. Yum!!!! I have had their stews and they are absolutely delicious. I came here on a friend date specifically to try the fesenjan. I recently made my own fesenjan at home with the guidance of a Persian chef on TikTok, but I wanted to taste the authentic dish (because I don't have a reference point LOL). We arrived at around 1230 on a Saturday. Parking is a bit interesting, it's on the backside of the restaurant and you have to go around the building to get to the entrance. BUT, there is plenty of parking, so no complaints from me. We appeared to be the first customers of the day. So there was plenty of indoor seating at this time of day. There's modern Persian music playing in the background and the walls are decorated with Persian rugs and other culturally relevant items. The waiter took our orders and provided us with drinks, fresh pita bread and butter within the first 10 minute of our arrival. I ordered the fesenjan and the eggplant dip. My friend ordered the beef koobideh (I think the koobideh might be the most popular dish in addition to tahdig and ghormeh sabzi). If I could I would have ordered all of this but I was on a mission!! The fesenjan arrived. It was a generous portion that consisted of half a breast and a leg quarter of a chicken. The sauce was savory and resounded with the sweet and sour flavor of pomegranate. The dish was accompanied with basmati rice that had saffron infused in it, but I was using the pita bread to soak up the sauce (it's the Indian in me :D ). I did not taste the koobideh. But it appeared to be a pretty hefty portion and was served with grilled vegetables and basmati rice as well. I'm already planning another visit so I can have the koobideh :P The one thing that they do not have is a sauce that accompanies their koobideh. I'm going to assume that maybe this is perhaps cultural since not all Middle-Eastern cuisine is going to be same. By the time my friend and I left Miras all the tables were occupied which really supports the popularity of this restaurant. All in all, a wonderful experience. The restaurant is very clean, like the minimum of deco, tasteful music. Service was great the waiter was very helpful teaching me how to fix my rice with butter & sumac. The plate I had was chicken kabobs, rice, salad, roasted tomato, chili pepper, 1/2 lemon, & slice of orange. The plate presentation was beautiful & delicious. I also ordered hummus which I ate with the pita bread, onions, sprinkle with sumac. The price was very reasonable for the amount of food & quality. I bought a spicy chicken sandwich combo for more. Self proclaimed Iranian/Persian food expert. I would have never guessed that in good old little Pico Rivera-some mastermind of a chef existed. This food is delicious. I had it on Sunday and on Monday I was craving it again. I held back but gosh, the jasmine rice with saffron, pita bread, delicious salad was just the icing on my array of all the juicy, well seasoned meats. Honestly, I'm really disappointed not in the quality of food but the actual service. I manage the car dealership in Downey and we always order Mira's. is grill. The food is always great. Portions are always awesome but for whatever reason today I ordered two hours in advance to feed the crew at the dealership $240 worth of food and I'm still waiting. They assured me the food be ready in 45 minutes, so I've been sitting here waiting, I guess I'm just a little frustrated last time I ordered they forgot the rice this time they charge me $22 for the same rice Baghali polo I guess I'm just frustrated. I didn't want to give a one star review because the food is really good. I just hope they get it together if they need to hire another person hire another person. Ahhhh made it 4 stars. What a great find thanks to the Yelp app! Came for lunch on a Saturday. Park in the lot and then walk around to front to a cozy little spot with great food. Ordered the Shirazi salad and Eggplant dip. A great combo. The Shirazi was a lot more tart than I've had at other places, but the pieces were small and perfectly sized and the sourness was a good counterpoint to the eggplant dip, which was made with caramelized onions, served warm, and was very rich. Mom got the chicken kabob and I ordered the special that had fish and herbed rice. Huge portions and very delicious! The server was so sweet and there's even a candy bowl to get a mini desert after you pay! I will definitely be back and am glad to see some new types of cuisine in Pico Rivera. read more

Finally found another Persian restaurant called Miras Grill. Located in the Pico Rivera section. This restaurant is fairly new and maybe the first in Pico Rivera. And there isn't too many Persian restaurants near me. I ordered an dinner sized beef koobideh (2 sticks). As soon I got my food, I can tell right away it looks good, based on presentation. The question is how's the quality of the koobideh. As I was eating it, the flavor was great. Very juicy nonetheless. It's something I expect from all the Persian restaurants. The service here was great. The guy (might be the manager or owner) did a amazing job. Also, all the music played in this restaurant are in Farsi... newer music though. If you are looking for authentic Persian cuisine, search again. The food here is like buying a fake knock off Louis Vuitton purse. You think the food would be genuine based on the Yelp reviews and the photos, but when you order and receive your food, you know something is not right. The food is not authentic. It's like Mexican food with a hint of middle eastern flavor. I was bamboozled by the photos, Persian menu descriptions, and the middle eastern music. The food was nothing short of ordering a plate of carne asada or pollo asado with boxed basmati rice and grilled chilies and tomatoes. We asked for garlic sauce, and they brought mexican salsa. We ordered lubia polo rice (what should have been authentic basmati with green beans, chopped koobideh, onion and tomato sauce) we got something similar but with boxed basmati rice and mexican stew meat. I asked the waitress if the owner is Persian/Iranian or Middle Eastern, she replied.. of course not.. they are Hispanic. Do not be fooled by the reviews. Try a different location if you're looking for traditional Persian/Iranian food, closer to Glendale or OC. read more
