We worked with Kristine, the events planner at Mirbeau Rhinebeck. We had a great experience. The baby shower was beautiful and Kristine helped us through the whole process. The place settings on the table were so pretty. The food was very delicious. I highly recommend the Mirbeau for your next event.

The beauty of this place is intentional and it shows. Lovely paintings, attention to details for comfort...it shows Me. Edward A Kellogg! Your most wonderful assets here are your staff including in no particular order: Emma (mani/pedi); Curt (exercise/yoga); Kendall and Phaki (couples massage); Victor& Kevin (Food mgrs); Samantha, Maddy, LeighAnn, Zoe (servers); Meghan (pastry chef). I'm sure there are many more involved whose name I don't know, I'm sorry. The time spent with caring, kind individuals made my time here more delightful! Being welcomed and/or acknowledged is a very special! Thoughtfulness is a rare gift in these harsh world, your staff has it tremendously! This four day stay was a surprise treat for my birthday planned and financed by my husband. I'm so grateful to him for sharing this special place with me! Thank you so much!!

My husband and I visited Mirbeau spa this weekend . It was our 1st time and it def won't be our last . Where do I begin.. The second you pull up to the parking lot you see a beautiful building . You park , as you walk in you hear soft music playing . The front desk staff was very welcoming an Offer a free glass of champagne . The decor and the presentation of the hotel is beautiful . The elevators have this pretty pattern cloth on the wall. Room WOW, the headboard on the bed is beautiful , loved the fireplace . The bed was very comfortable , the pillows a little too soft but not a deal breaker .The bathroom has (2) sinks. Storage for towels , even had a small black face towel that said makeup. I though that was so cute! They have refillable body wash / lotion / shampoo conditioner available to use and purchase. The fragrance of their products is so good . We had the Forest view but it wasn't anything to pay the extra $20 for . Its just green trees . I love the 2 chairs by the bed . Nice place to sit and enjoy the room coffee. The coffee machine / brewer was really good and they have instructions posted. Spa/hot Tub/ quiet room We had massages booked . The massage itself Was very good . My Masseuse was very sweet and gave me a few recommendations of things to do. (Poets walk and holy cow ). The outdoor hot tub was nice . Not many chairs . I would say about 11 total . I LOVED the way they displayed the towels on a towel hanger . The lady at the bar was so nice and made excellent drinks . Shes by herself so if she had to pick up food she would be gone for a few minutes . But shes worth the wait . I had a few mimosas and a mojito . We tried the Cesar wrap . Everything was delicious . We waited in the quiet room to be called for our massages . Its a room with cool back chairs . Very relaxing . Unfortunately as other reviews stated the quiet room is on the way to the hot tub and to the bathrooms . It has to be Walked into to access the other parts . Not very "quiet " since it has traffic all the time. My FAV part of the spa were the SHOWERS. Everything you need is in the individual shower rooms. Towels , shampoo , conditioner , body wash. Then you throw the used Towels in a romper . The shower in the spa is a Million times Nicer, bigger and prettier then the shower in the room. My favvv part! Restaurant We only sat down for breakfast . Their sourdough Bread is out of this world . Delicious mimosas. The bacon the pancakes. Omg the home fries. So flavorful! Area Rhinebeck looks so nice . There's a few stores to walk around and visit . There's a cvs 5 minutes away incase u need something . The area looks nice and safe . Were from NY , as a New Yorker we had 1 big complain . Everything is closed soooooooo early . Even the gas station . It was around 9:30-10 and we had no place to get a Snapple or a soda . The hotel only had 1 club soda/ water and liquor . Overall , im so happy we discovered this hotel . Cant wait for our Christmas visit !

Went here for the spa. The restaurant was amazing the spa left a lot to be desired. It was hot outside and they left the heat on in the outdoor pool. It was unbearable. Wished there were more amenities. The massage was nice. People do use the spa as a gym -- which if I lived in the area it would be great.

Staying for 3 nights in December in the Executive suite with adjoining rooms, and honestly, I am not sure if Mirbeau deserves 3 or 4 stars for several reasons - 1) rooms are well-appointed, but the layouts are awkward 2) spa is average for the resort fee 3) on-sight restaurant (Willow by Charlie Palmer) is average compared to NYC (with prices comparable to NYC). I realize that we're in COVID times, but we're not a high maintenance crew as we normally turn down daily housekeeping anyways and we like to keep to ourselves. Even if they are short-staffed like everywhere else, Mirbeau does not go out of their way to provide an exceptional guest experience compared to hotels in the same class. I suppose it's good enough if you have to stay in Rhinebeck and the Beekman Arms is sold out, but it could have been so much more...Mirbeau could have been another great reason to come to Rhinebeck. Oh well...

View of forest from my room!

Back at our home away from home for a few days to decompress and couldn't be happier! Staff, rooms, service and food are exemplary here at Mirbeau Rhinebeck. We're so happy to be back!

Great experience. Enjoyed Diane who gave us the initial tour, such a warming spirit and made the experience start off perfectly.

The Gables of Rhinebeck wasn't hospitable during our stay…read more And it kills me to give them two stars but when you make Mrs. S mad? She's always happy! The entire purpose for staying at a Bed & Breakfast is the experience. Any Inn or B&B, the owners open their establishment, makes you feel at home with a warm cup of coffee along with something freshly baked from their oven. When I checked in, I was told via text there is none of that because of the pandemic. We find that to be an excuse because we just left a B&B in Cold Spring that had everything! It's a bunch of nonsense, the owners could have baked and individually wrapped things. Just like the B&B in Cold Spring.... Oh wait, we were served a sit down breakfast. And coffee! What a concept. Check-in is at 3pm. I arrived at 1pm thinking I can get a few tips about the area. The door was locked so I rang the bell. I'm assuming its the owner who answered the door. I tell him I know I'm early, I'm looking for a few things to do locally. He said there is nothing here to show but I can send you a text? Ok.. The town of Rhinebeck is very cute, there are shops that are open while walking around. We had a glass of wine and some charcuterie while passing the time. Once it's 3pm, we were sent a text for the door code. Walking inside, The Gables Of Rhinebeck is a beautiful Bed & Breakfast. It also seems we are the only guests based on the parking lot out back. And the parking lot only has room for 3 cars? Our room is drop dead gorgeous. The bedding is adorned with a beautiful quilt. It's a suite so there is a nice sitting area. I walked downstairs to the empty parlor, grabbed two wine glasses and opened a bottle of wine that I brought from home. The bathroom, there was a lack of shelf space for our toiletries. Its a large space with a claw foot cast iron tub, very pretty. I had plans to sit outside after dinner and smoke a cigar. The lights weren't on, there is no one to ask and at that point, I really didn't care. I'm ready to leave and that is just a shame. It's not the feeling you want your guests to have when they leave. Do you agree? I asked about breakfast the next day in a text. Coffee? Oatmeal? Anything? Nothing I'm told in a text. The restaurant next door opens at 8am. Mention we're guests at The Gables Of Rhinebeck and well receive 20% off our bill. The restaurant at 8:50am was closed. At this point we jump in the car and leave. While I'm sitting down in another town, I text them saying the restaurant wasn't open at 8 or 8:30. They text back: OMG there is Bread Alone and so many other restaurants in the area that we could have chose. Overall, this was a sucky stay and I'm glad it was just for one night. They charged a premium price for the Bed but not the Breakfast?! And they weren't hospitable! Yeah OMG.

The downstairs sitting room was so overly cluttered, there was really no place to sit, so one has to go outside and sit on the porch. I don't upstand all these highly rated comments from travelers, it is almost like they don't travel very much or were given some sort of Gratuity for a positive comment or review. The breakfast was marginal at best, resulting in an early lunch down the road in Historic Hyde Park. The best thing about this location is the excellent, Friendly little restaurant and bar within walking distance just up the street to the north of this locale. Porch was a Mish mash of old furniture, old treadmill and a handicapped shower chair. A nice older gentleman in flip flops answered, opened the door to my room and said that's where your staying. He never gave me a key so couldn't even lock the door if I wanted to go out. I get in the room and it's crammed with a king size bed and pulled out single bed and several tables. It smelled old and musty. I checked the sheets and they looked and smelled like they were from the 70's. Went into the bathroom and there was a nasty cleaning rag on the counter, blue glasses that had an inch of dust on them, whoever stayed previously shampoo and bodywash in the shower (so obviously not cleaned). Not full toiletries that were sticky to the touch and toilet paper holder that was broken. I went into the hall to find the gentleman and he could not be located. Walked across the hall to the common room and it was as rundown and nasty as the room. The hallway smelled like pot. At this point, there was no way I was staying there. I contacted the owner, Pat and explained what was going on, at first she didn't believe me then when I sent pics, she apologized and said she would refund the 200.00 in 4 days, on Thursday when she got back. I agreed. Nothing was refunded and contacted her on Friday, she did not respond. I contacted her again on Sunday and she responded with a nasty response accusing me of lying and breaking the toilet paper holder on purpose and put on the Venmo that it was for "unjustified refund". Bottom line, the place is a dump and the owner unprofessional and nasty. Stay as far away as you can.

Our breakfasts were presented beautifully & by servers who were super friendly & engaging, as is the rest of the staff here. The pool had not yet been filled for the summer, so we enjoyed sunning on the pool deck, the sweet sauna, walks to the lake down below the property, played shuffleboard, billiards in the way-downstairs which has stone walls, low ceilings, a wine closet, board games & game table, as well as darts. The first floor library is cozy, filled with couches, upholstered chairs, books, coloring books & colored pencils & the in-house restaurant offers 3 meals a day, either in the beautifully outfitted & sunny dining room or on the back patio, alongside a rain barrel, herb garden, smoke house, fire pit & the grassy lawns. The owners & the hotel's hospitality group are working on upgrading & updating the facilities & its offerings & we applaud them for their efforts & plans. We are glad that we could fully enjoy this welcoming, beautiful old stone home & its equally welcoming staff. AND, we thank the head chef for the bottle of Prosecco that he gifted us! P.S.
