Very weird atmosphere. Too much Lemon Pledge on the tables and VERY long wait to get our hot chai teas and then even longer to get our food.

Perfect place for vegetarians Idli samber and Masala Dosa Real Authentic Indian dishes ,made fresh. In chaats I love papdi chaat and Dahi puri. And they have best panjabi samosa that I had ever. Highly recommend for vegetarians and specially for VEGANS TOO read more

We visit this place very often. Its just like any other hang out spots in India. Sit back, relax, chit chat with friends while having mango shake/lemon masala soda (my fav.s). This place is run by a husband and wife and both of them are very friendly... I love the masala puri taste here. I prefer this place for chat food, as we usually go early in the evening. But, dinner is also quite good here. Rotis will be too soft that I don't even realize when I finished them ;). I would refer this place to all the friends I meet... :-) But, if you are in a hurry and cannot spend much time in the restaurant, then this is not the place for you. They take a bit longer time, basically for the below reasons: 1. To maintain quality, all the orders will be prepared then and there itself. 2. Not many staff members to take care of. My mother does not like eating out at all and is very picky. She loves her homemade food however this is her favorite restaurant. She does not mind spending her money at this restaurant.The food is delicious and always fresh. I would rather wait for fresh food rather than frozen made food. Definitely worth the wait. The owner's and their staff are always very pleasant and nice. The place is small yet clean. This is an update on the previous review and is more delivery. I was sick so we ordered in. The food arrived after almost an hour and a half which I'm willing to understand since I know they are short staffed. However, the food lacked taste this time around. We ordered a daal tadka which was just okay. The aloo bhaji hardly had any salt and the kadhi pakoda didn't have any pakodas. The kadhi was too watery and too tangy. I'll not be ordering in from this place again. Going there and ordering something off they board seems like a better option. read more

This is used to be our go to place 2 years back. Their preparation was very good especially Dosa, kadhi and gajjar halwa. But about year back we came here with our parents to have samosa which was not good. So we stopped coming for some time. We again checked in here today to have chaat and pano Puri and I must say they are back. It was very tasty and they customized it for us. We will continue coming here. read more

Terrible service, Not Sanitary. I waited 45 minutes for Chaat and watched 3 people who ordered 4 plates of Chaat after me be served before me. I am a single woman and am pretty sure the staff simply took my time for granted. Also the restaurant owner routinely touches her face in between preparing dishes and serving them. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back. If you're looking for no-fuss home cooking, this is the place. Nice and clean restaurant with a lovely cashier. We ordered masala dosa, sambar, aloo parata, samosa, pakoras, and some lassis. Everything was delicious and served nice and fresh. Oh, and lassis were thick and perfect too. Found this place hidden in a corner while I was looking for some desi (Indian/Pakistani) food, and I am glad I did! Their menu had a great selection of options with all authentic names and ingredients. The place to me had a nice homely vibe, back in the country we call dhaba :) you feel more at home than at a business place. The food was made absolutely fresh and was bursting with flavors, significantly the Bhindi (Ocra) ! It was out of this world! Chana Masala was great, I love the options they had for Aloo Paratha or any paratha really. They even deliver, of course once you meet a minimum delivery threshold. Nevertheless the place is amazing for food. The ambience may not be what anyone expects, not so flashy and all, but I love it, makes me feel closer to home. Oh do not forget to try the Safron Mango Lassi! I think this place would make a great authentic indian food place with just minor tweaks here and there to accommodate the general public, but then again I am about the taste not how it looks. read more

Excellent food and great service! Found this place by accident when looking for vegetarian Indian food. The location is a little tricky as it is located in the shopping strip over from Fitness Connection and is tucked in the very corner between a church and another restaurant. I really like coming here because the owners are very personable and are very informative about the menu items. I have been here multiple times and have ordered something different each time and have never been disappointed! I highly recommend the Aloo Vada and Aloo Ghobi. :) read more

We lived in India for 5 years and since coming to Houston have been looking for some authentic, simple, good quality, good tasting Indian food. Have tried several of the "high end" places and various locations in the strip malls but today tried this small strip mall place off of 1960 and were delighted. My wife and I came in for lunch and both had the deluxe Thali which came with five delicious, fresh veg. curries, two roti, two poori, papad, a veg samosa and halwa. Everything was delicious. The spice was perfect and nothing was over done in the Ghee. This is a small place, inconveniently located in a strip mall but the food and family are fantastic. Don't expect much from the décor and locale but you won't be disappointed in the food and family! read more

The restaurant owners are very nice people and they treat you with great hospitality. Madhuram mirch masala restaurant's service time is really long...We waited for 35 minutes to get just a single Thali and in Thali they do not need to cook any vegetable except Chapati, in Thali vegetables are already prepared..they just need to plate them and add fresh Chappatis..I dont expect cooking just 3 Chappatis should take 30-40 minues.. and the worst part is the food quantity is very less..they serve sweet and yogurt in the smaill plastic bowl in which we get extra sauce, Mayo, chutney's etc... Food quality and taste was not that bad..but i would not like to wait 30-40 minues for such a simple food.. In short a complete waste... read more
