I love the ambiance here! White linen tablecloths, deep blue velvet chairs, crown molding, dramatic light fixtures, a recessed eating nook alongside the bar, & great Indian music. The menu is allergy-friendly, with dishes clearly labeled with allergens and there were so many DF options. I had the most amazingly delicate lamb korma...which I can't normally get elsewhere because of cream but they made it with coconut milk...bless them! Best I've had anywhere. I ordered the veggie samosa, which I forgot to request "mild," so it was a tad spicy for my palate. It was deliciously/expertly spiced nonetheless, and I ate the whole thing...nose running. ;-) If you're a spice wimp like me, just remember to ask for it mild. Also highly recommend the watermelon non-alcoholic drink that was like a mojito with fresh mint! Great, friendly service...even at 4:19...when they were almost closed, at the end of a long shift. The food was pretty good so if you want to do takeout, you're safe. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The waitress brought us menus and left us to decide. She came back when we were ready to order. We ordered two appetizers, three meals, and three cocktails. Apparently they don't know how to make an old fashioned according to the waitress. She never brought us any water. We received our apps fairly quickly (which were delicious). About halfway through the apps, one meal arrived. (Meals were delivered my kitchen staff.) Still no cocktails or water. About 15 minutes later, another meal arrived. We ended up asking the bus boy for a glass of water. Another 15 minutes go by and the third meal was finally delivered. We called the waitress over and had to ask for the cocktails we ordered when we arrived. She went over to the bar and made them herself. Again, the food is good but, we won't be back. read more

Fantastic fresh and well presented food everything was delicious and was quickly prepared. I'm already looking forward to going back. The restaurant is beautiful, new and updated, looks amazing but feels empty. If I could suggest having some music on, lighting your beautiful fireplace, candles the tables, facilitating the empty bar as a tea/coffee, dessert bar or possibly BYOB. With something new and cozier I think this could be a really busy space. But regardless, I'm coming back for more delicious food. read more

But sadly, the last 2 times I ordered from there the food was so salty, I actually couldn't eat it. 5 stars because I love chettinad dishes and they seem like a rarity in many Indian restaurants in MA, but of course some dishes will be hit or miss. And I did find hair in my mango lassi. - The paneer chettinad is delicious. I hope they add an egg version as well. - paneer chili is good. Has a nick kick and I love the julienned vegetables that come with it. - Gobi Manchurian - delicious - Gobi 65 - not the biggest fan. It was soggy by the time I got it so maybe if I ate in restaurant it would be different. But the batter seemed to still be on the cauliflower and not fried on like I've seen with other gobi 65. I could taste and feel the grainyness of the batter. Wasn't a fan of that. Taste ok. Texture off. - Paneer 65 - same as the gobi. Not a fan. - Hair in my mango lassi. I am the personal belief that most food we get in restaurants has hair since hair nets aren't always a requirement, I just tend to hyper analyze all my food before consumption. - Samosas great. We tried the garlic naan, cauliflower 65, chicken tikka masala, and butter chicken via take out. We found it all very average and with small portion sizes. The naan was decent albeit thin and the cauliflower 65 was soggy with ok flavor. We expected more spice but found it lacking. The butter chicken and chicken tikka masala tasted the exact same except the chicken tikka masala was far less tender and room temperature. I'm pretty sure they just use the same sauce but cook the chicken differently. Curry House is hands down better for flavor, quality, and quantity if you're looking to enjoy Indian food in Franklin. read more

On our only visit we were seated promptly. the decor is very nice. We ordered samosas, two entrees (one for each diner) and nan to share. The samosas were good. One entree was then served to the wrong diner and the nan also placed in front of that same diner as if there was only one person at the table. We explained that this entree should go to the other diner and assumed the other entree would be right along because it was obvious that one person had no food. After a significant wait we hailed a server and asked about the biryani I had ordered. They must have forgotten it because they said to wait 5 minutes. It took much longer than 5 minutes before the biryani came out and the first diner had already finished his meal. No apology. No excuses. No explanation. We found this food to be expeceptional. It was so fresh and the flavors just jumped out without being overly spicy or hot. Great service and nicely decorated. Here's the hidden jem, if you flip the menu over, you'll find a "mediterranean" menu. In other words pizza, pasta and hamburgers for those that don't like Indian food (maybe your kids). I cannot believe this place does not have more reviews. Got delivery via GrubHub this evening. Food was on time, piping hot, and looked amazing. It tasted even better. I got the vegetable samosas, chili chicken (so good and spicy), palak paneer (super flavorful), garlic and basil naan, and a mango lassi. This is gonna be my new go-to spot! Absolutely delicious and when I called to thank the restaurant for such an amazing meal, the person on the phone was gracious and thankful. This place was fantastic. I ordered from here and got the vegetable tempura type appetizer and it was different than what I've had before so I really liked it. I also got palak paneer which was fantastic. I'm really glad that it wasn't overly hot. The only thing I would recommend is that they tell you on the website what food comes with rice. There was some confusion with our order pick - up time and they phoned to confirm the tile we wished to pick it up. Very courteous and attentive. Ordered food for family gathering. Biryani was basically a puliogare mix. There was no raita for biryani. Gobi 65 was raw. I can literally see the powder on top of biryani rice. The quantity is very less. When called to the restaurant, the management was very rude. They hang up the call on my face. When i called again and asked for a manager, the person was not willing to transfer my call and neither was he disclosing his name. Worst experience. Put an order in two hours ahead of time for a 7:00 pm pickup, and the order wasn't ready until 7:45. Couldn't get a clear idea of why there was a delay.
