Dresden has been doing my hair now for almost a year and she is the absolute best, I can't say enough good things about her. I've been to Imagez a few times for both my 10 year old daughter and I. We had great experiences there up until my daughter got put with Alyssa for a pop of color (10 foils or less) and a basic cut. The results looked like she honestly made a mistake--which happens, but it was on the side and very visible. It looked like I did it, and I know nothing about hair. It was $165 for the pop of color (10 foils or less) and basic cut, so I did something I've actually never done before, and called to see if they could fix it. I did not ask for money back or get money back; I just wanted it fixed. Alyssa was not receptive to this, blaming me for the outcome, until I contacted the owner with pictures. The owner arranged for Alyssa to fix my daughter's hair. Although Alyssa was visibly irritated with us while we were there getting it fixed (took maybe 2 hours), I thought this was done and over with after she lifted the color on the sides and toned it. She fixed the hair, kept my payment, etc. Fast forward 8 months later, and I schedule my daughter a haircut at Imagez with a different stylist. As my CHILD is sitting back in the chair getting her haircut, Alyssa comes over to the stylist that is cutting my and daughter's hair and says, "this is the girl I was telling you about." This is so inappropriate, unprofessional, and immature.I could go on, but I feel like at this point, people should be warned about Alyssa. It is honestly concerning that she remembered my daughter 8 months later, and couldn't control herself enough to not make a comment in front of her. This was my second time going there. My first time was really good. I got my hair highlighted and lowlighted without any issues. So I went back. This time, I was very disappointed with the way the treated me. I have been doing highlights and lowlights in my hair for over 8 years now and I know what works. They fought me on it and didn't believe a word I said. The stylist who was going to do my hair brought in another stylist to convince me that I didn't know what I was talking about. Both treated me like I was four years old. The second stylist even looked at me like I was insane when I told her what I wanted. I walked out without doing anything and I'm not going back. Stephanie is a great stylist, and never hesitates to make suggestions, or go with an idea I had. I wanted a color in my hair, like a pink or a purple, just a little bit. We talked, and she made a great recommendation, and for over a year now I've had a pink strip in my hair. I love it, it's fun, and everyone thinks it looks cool! She does such a great job that even when the pink fades, it goes from a bright fuchsia to a lighter pink. Her haircuts are inventive, on trend, and always look good growing out a little bit. My wife took my daughter here for a cut and color. The "highly trained stylist" (as the owner calls her) Victoria decided she needed a color correction. Didn't tell my wife what she was doing. She asked for a bob cut and the stylist cut 2 inches off her mid-shoulder length hair. The stylist told my daughter she'd be back in 20 min, came back 90 min later. 4 hours later, my daughter is crying and her hair is silver, not platinum blonde like she asked. My wife left and emailed the owner. The owner responded by blaming my wife for leaving while my daughter's hair was wet. No apology. The owner and staff are garbage. My wife who is "not a highly trained stylist" recovered my daughter's hair, thank God. Do not go here unless you enjoy getting blamed for their crappy work! [Update] Clearly the owner is trying to save her butt. (1) The first email written to my wife said, "I'm sorry that you and your daughter are not happy with your services but you left when her hair was wet so the stylist couldn't tell how the hair turned out". (2) The cut that was requested not only didn't happen but was uneven. (3) Only after my wife pointed out the obvious (a highly trained stylist would be able to tell that she messed up someone's hair just by looking at it) did the owner apologize. She started off the email exchange by blaming my wife for their incompetence. I've seen the emails and I trust my wife's account of the events. How dare you say my daughter wasn't crying?! And when she was visibly upset in your shop, none of your staff approached her or even tried to make the situation better. I'll say it again, your staff and establishment is garbage. read more

Honestly, as a teen, I came here reluctantly with my mom to get my haircut. It was kind of embarrassing to be a teenage boy getting my haircut at a salon/spa. Flash forward 5-6 years later, this is the only place that I get my haircut at. I've let 4-5 different stylists cut my hair over the years and have not once had a bad haircut. Dee and Rebecca always do a really good job. Haircuts here have helped me get through job interviews, look good for dates, etc. Can't recommend Imagez enough. read more

I've always had a great experience. I've seen 3 different stylists because I usually schedule at the last minute, but they have all been great. They are all nice and make the effort to get to know you and what you want. Sarah Johnson just did an excellent job on my cut and color. Sidney Manus did an amazing job last time on my cut and color. It was exactly what I asked for but I decided it was too light for me. She actually texted me to see how I was liking it, and when I asked if she could tone it down, she did it for free! This salon was recommended to me. I requested their best colorist and was told Sarah was the best. So I made an appointment with her. My first visit was not pleasant because of Sarah's lack of customer service skill but I thought maybe she was just having a bad day. I was wrong! My second and last appointment was so much worse. Sarah was rude, harsh and just mean in her manner and how she spoke to me. On top of that she had no clue how to color my hair. So $370 later my hair looked horrible. If she is the best colorist they have you need to look elsewhere. read more

My 16 yr old & I were seen today by Meghan. I had a wash/cut/style, my daughter had color correction and a haircut. We were very pleased with the entire experience! All the staff were friendly & I was offered a coffee while I waited for my daughter's appt. to finish up. A few months ago, we were living in the Raleigh area and my daughter had her hair completely fried/destroyed during a color appt. by an inexperienced stylist. It cost hundreds of dollars and many appointments to get to a decent shade, and she lost a lot of hair. I wasn't going to make the same mistake, so I'd been following Imagez on facebook and Instagram before we moved here, to make sure the stylists were familiar with more alternative/edgy styles and color. I can only review my haircut with Diane. Worst haircut ever! She didn't listen to what I told her and shaved my eyebrows without even asking. Worst part is that she didn't even tied the apron around my neck, so I had tons of hair down my back. So, I had to run home to change shirts because it itched so bad. The lengths were so off, that I had to pay for another cut just two weeks later to be able to manage my hair again (I usually get 4-6 weeks between haircuts). read more

Wow. Came in for a hair cut and colour and left with a $160 bill (in Indian Trail, NC - $160 for a cut and colour)? If you are pinching your pennies clarify the price before scheduling an appointment. The stylist decided on what she wanted to do and then expected me to pay for it even after I made it clear that I do my own colour two months in a row to keep the price of colour down. I also requested that she not put a bunch of foils in as I have never had more then 4 or 5 due to the cost, she procedured to put 12-15 foils in. CONFIRM the price on the phone with the stylist you select and then confirm again when you arrive - they may not be the same price that was quoted! read more

I was a client of Megan while she was at Imagez. She is now with another salon, where I have followed her. I had an appointment for a Saturday morning at 12:30. The appointment was a color with partial foils AND a Keratin treatment. When I got there, the girl at the counter told me to have a seat. About 4 minutes later, one of the managers came over to me and told me Megan was not there but they had Sarah who was "more experienced." The manager sounded, to me, like Megan had some sort of emergency and couldn't be there that day. Obviously, I was hesitant since it was a lot of work and I had expected Megan to do it. But, I was leaving for vacation that Tuesday and I knew I wouldn't get another appointment before then. I also didn't want Megan to get in trouble for not calling me to reschedule. So, I agreed to let Sarah do it. When I got to her station, I looked over at Megan's station and noticed all of her personal items were gone. I sent her a text message and she responded telling me she was really sorry and thought she had called me, but that the staff was supposed to be telling her clients where she was. Obviously, I was upset that I was not told the truth, but I figured it was too late and I would just go to Megan next time. Sarah did my color and that was okay. When the time came for the Keratin treatment, she seemed a little clueless. Almost like she had not done it before. There were 2 people "directing" her as we went and it seemed like all the questions I asked, other people would answer. So, four days went by and I washed my hair. I still had the same amount of frizz and the same amount of curl. This was my first Keratin treatment, so I figured that maybe it just didn't work for me. I called and they told me that there was most likely a bad batch of Keratin and scheduled me to come back to re-do it. -- I went back and redid the whole treatment. Again, they were guiding her on how to do it. They didn't charge me, but I did give her a good tip for having to take time with me. On TOP of the first tip I had left. The first wash, I did notice a HUGE difference in my hair and I was ecstatic. But after the second wash, it was gone. I was right back to square one. I called them again and one of the stylists said she'd have Sarah call me. Two days, no call. I called again. Parrish answered and told me that it wasn't going to get rid of the curl. (Essentially HINTING that I was expecting miracles, which I wasn't). He said he'd check with Sarah (check what? I don't know) and call me back. ANOTHER 3 days and no response. I called again and left a message for Parrish to call me and never heard from him. About two days later, I left ANOTHER message and now, a month later, I still haven't heard from them. Clearly, I've given up attempting to have this resolved, but to drop $350 in a salon and walk out with the same hair you went in with is depressing. And to basically be dismissed is just bad business. Plain and Simple! I'm not one to write bad reviews and complain about little things, but I truly feel like they just ignored me. Yeah, I know that you brought me back to do the treatment a second time and didn't charge me. But at least have the decency to call me and tell me that it just didn't work on my hair and offer me a free trim or something. It's another one of those expensive lessons I've learned and know I will not go back or refer anyone there. read more

Jen offers many services, including waxing and eyelash extensions. She is knowledgeable and willing to answer all questions. Went in and got a color correction and ombre copper to red hair color, cut, and style as well as eyebrow wax. I felt pampered the entire time, was offered coffee and Stephanie who took care of me was the absolute best!! I will be going back for a long time and encourage others to try out this salon.
